The Remembering Update Patch Notes

Howdy Valley Villagers!

It’s no secret that our previous update was a huge one for the team, bringing Simba and Nala to the Valley, and taking players on a journey to The Lion King Realm. Well, we’re excited to share a breakdown of what you can expect from our next major content update – The Remembering – which launches June 7th. In addition to the customary bug squashing and improvements you’ve come to expect, we have a new character, the biggest story update yet, and a bundle of new features that will help you further shape the Valley in your own image (among other things!).

Check out all the details below:
NEW CONTENT AND IMPROVEMENTS:
• It’s our biggest story update yet! The story behind The Forgetting comes full circle!
 • Fairy Godmother – along with her Friendship Quests – arrives in the Valley, answering the long-standing question of “who does that giant pumpkin belong to?”
 • Celebrate all things Pixar with the brand-new Wonder of Pixar Star Path, featuring exclusive items from upcoming feature film Elemental, as well as Inside Out, Finding Nemo and Finding Dory, and Turning Red.
 • Even more new, optional items are on their way to the Premium Shop for a limited time, including the Dark Castle House Style, vacation-inspired Dream Styles for multiple characters, animal companion skins, and much more!
 • Browse with confidence. Preview the in-game models of items in the Premium Shop before purchasing them.
 • Premium Shop refresh time has been adjusted to Wednesday at 9:00 AM ET (from Friday).
 • New shipment alert! Scrooge McDuck’s Store has received a new batch of items to collect, including a range of pumpkin-themed goods.
 • To help track which items from Scrooge McDuck’s Store you’ve added to your Collection (and which you haven’t yet), a red dot will be displayed on store items that are not yet owned.
 • Make your mark on the Valley with the expanded Touch of Magic feature, allowing the customization of furniture using your hard-earned motifs.
 • Bring a little more style to rainy days in the Valley with new umbrella hand accessories.
 • You can now place multiple different player houses throughout the Valley. Please note, only one instance of any given house style can be placed.
 • Step up your wardrobe! Use the new mannequin feature to save, display, and instantly change into your favorite outfits at the press of a button.
 • Roads in the Valley have received a glow up, allowing you to add borders to them.
 • Customize the look of your Tools with Premium tool skins.
 • We’ve added a news feed to the Start Menu to help keep you in the loop about all the latest Disney Dreamlight Valley updates.

The Updated 2023 Content Roadmap Has Arrived!

Hey Valley Villagers!

It’s pretty wild to think that we’re almost halfway through the year already. From welcoming a bunch of familiar faces to the Valley and exploring The Lion King Realm, to celebrating Disney’s 100th Anniversary and our collective passion for Disney Parks, there’s already been a lot to love in Disney Dreamlight Valley this year. We really appreciate you joining us on this Early Access journey and can’t overstate the role this community has played in helping to shape where we are now.

Well, that was only the first half of the year and there’s a whole lot of 2023 left... Want your first peek at what’s coming just over the horizon? Today, we’re excited to share an updated roadmap of the content you can expect to arrive in the Valley over the next couple months.

Picking up after the release of The Remembering update in early June, we have two more updates to give you a sneak peek at, as well as your first hints at what the next chapter of Disney Dreamlight Valley will hold, coming later this year. Check it all out below:

Excited? So are we! To all of you who guessed that Vanellope von Schweetz was Valley-bound, you deserve a treat. Zooming ahead to our September update, she will be followed by the much-anticipated arrival of Belle, alongside a new realm to explore and immerse yourself in. Of course, there are other surprises to look forward to!

As you’ve likely come to expect from our updates, these new characters will be accompanied by a wealth of new content, features and improvements. We’re particularly excited about a certain brand-new feature that will come as part of our summer update. You’ve all gone to great lengths to share your creativity with us in the game, so we want to reward you for it! Look out for more on that very soon!

Of course, there are also Star Paths! Since launch, you’ve shared your most-wanted themes with us, and we think these are going to make a whole lot of you very happy. Not only will we be diving into The Wonder of Pixar to shine a spotlight on even more beloved Pixar films, but this Halloween season will provide ample opportunities to get in the holiday spirit and bring some darkness to the Valley.

Looking ahead to late 2023, as the mystery of The Forgetting and The Forgotten comes full circle in The Remembering, a new chapter will begin for Disney Dreamlight Valley. We aren’t sharing many details quite yet so we’ll leave you to speculate. Suffice to say, we have BIG plans for the game through the end of the year, into 2024, and beyond! Stay tuned in the coming weeks and months, as we continue to share more sneak peeks. There’s never been a better time to explore the Valley and we can’t wait to hear what you think about everything that lies on the horizon!

Twitch Drops Are Back With Brand New Items To Earn!

Hey Valley Villagers!

With our fifth major content update quickly approaching, what better way to prepare and give your Valley an upgrade than with Twitch Drops? While we'll have more to share about the fifth content update in the coming days, we’re excited to announce that our second Twitch Drops campaign kicks off this week on Friday, May 19, complete with four brand new items!

With this round of Twitch Drops, everyone will have the chance to expand their in-game collection of RGB-inspired items with the Gamer Desk, Gamer Headphones, Gamer Backpack, and Gamer Desktop. Check out the items below and get ready to make your Valley glow:

This time, we’ve changed the Drops redemption experience a little bit. For this campaign, these new items will be offered as part of two bundles, each containing two items that will be unlocked together after achieving the redemption requirement. In other words, rather than unlocking each item individually, the bundles will be available one after the other for two days at a time. Take a look below to see when you’ll be able to earn each set of items:

Simply tune into one of our pre-selected content creators while they stream Disney Dreamlight Valley on Twitch during each of those two periods to earn the relevant bundle.

We’ve also heard your feedback and are excited to introduce some new content creator faces to the Twitch Drops roster – check them out below. We hope you’ll bring as much joy and energy to their streams as we‘ve felt watching them!

Want to get involved in future Twitch Drops? We’re always looking for new content creators to collaborate with, so don’t hesitate to tag us in your wonderful content on social media for consideration and to catch our attention!
