It's a bird... it's a plane... no! It's a Community Challenge update! ✨

We've been sitting on this news since Saturday - you've all CRUSHED the campaign! We're now well over 150k wishlists - and we are happy to announce that the first milestone has officially been unlocked!



This means that during the Early Access period, we'll launch a campaign to create a brand-new animal companion in the game - designed by the Community! While we're currently nailing down the details for everything else we have set up for the launch of Early Access, we'll be sure to reveal more information on this campaign in the future!

With that, we're also SO incredibly close to reaching both of the Follower Goals. Will we hit them this week? 👀

Community Manager Rachel here again and extremely excited to announce -- we're almost exactly one month from the early access launch of Disney Dreamlight Valley on September 6th. Let the official countdown to your first visit to Dreamlight Valley begin! While I know you've all been waiting to #LiveMagically, our Development Team has seen your continued enthusiasm and wishes for specific game features and fan-favorite items to be present in the game. And to acknowledge your support, I'm also ecstatic to share more exciting news -- in addition to the official countdown to early access launch day, we're kicking off a Community Challenge!

So, what is this exactly? Simply put, with your help, we'll commit to adding certain in-game items and game features as the Community unlocks them by following and wishlisting the game on ALL available platforms. While Disney Dreamlight Valley will regularly receive updates that will feature new items and game features for Valley villagers to enjoy, the inclusion of the unlockable additions from player participation in this campaign will be solely thanks to YOU! Keep in mind that we're currently focused on making the game's core components as magical as possible, and these new items, once realized, will be included later in the Early Access period and after the game officially launches in free-to-play.

Here's a sneak peek at the challenge rewards you'll be able to unlock by following and wishlisting Disney Dreamlight Valley:

• 5k Discord Followers: We’ll create and gift an extraordinary Hero’s Armor Clothing Set to all players.
  
• 35k Instagram + Twitter followers collectively: We’ll create and gift an iconic Disney Dreamlight Valley Partner’s Statue to all players.
  
• 150k total wishlists across all platforms: We’ll work with you, our Community, to create a new Community Designed Animal Companion.
  
• 200k total wishlists across all platforms: We’ll add a variety of Villager Skins so you can dress up your Valley Villagers.
  
• 250k total wishlists across all platforms: We’ll add the ability to visit your friend’s Valley’s with Multiplayer Valley Visits.
  

We're currently so, so close to the first wishlisting goal. As we reach milestones in the challenge, I'll be sure to update you on our progress of realizing these items and features in-game! That said, it's worth noting again that we are committed to focusing on core gameplay features at this time; these bonus features and items will be included later in the Early Access period and after the game officially launches in free-to-play. Of course, when we have more news about each item or game feature's development, we'll be sure to celebrate with you!
