How to complete the Capture the Sun quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley




If you've already unlocked Joy in Disney Dreamlight Valley, making your way through her friendship quests will be next on the list. These will automatically unlock as you periodically hit different levels, with the first coming not long after you've first invited her to the valley.

The Capture the Sun quest will automatically unlock once you've hit a level 2 friendship with Joy. Speak to her to start the quest, and she'll explain that she wants to do something fun and suggests a game of "capture the fun", which is essentially capture the flag. Disney Dreamlight Valley’s latest free update, Emotional Rescue, arrives today on all platforms![/p][p]Step into the shoes of a Mind Worker, embark on an inspirational journey with a couple of memorable new Villagers, set off on a Star Path oozing with Nostalgia, and dig into groovy new upgrades![/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][h2]Motivate inspiration[/h2][p]With a new door appearing in the Dream Castle, you’ll need to repair a special memory orb to open it and cross over into...[/p][p]The Headquarters from Disney Pixar’s Inside Out! Riley has an upcoming school talent show and it’s up to you to help Joy and Sadness inspire her! Work together to find memories and create dreams that will encourage Riley to put on a great performance.[/p][p]First, you’ll meet Joy, who will need a hand with the emotional control console, and then Sadness, who has taken a literal walk down memory lane.[/p][h2]Lights, camera, emote![/h2][p]Once you have the emotional rescuers together, you’ll need to brainstorm and put motivational dreams into production on the Dream Productions backlot![/p][p]Once you’ve successfully ignited Riley’s imagination, you’ll be able to set up Joy and Sadness’ remote HQ and welcome them into your Valley![/p][h2]Turn that Valley frown upside down[/h2][p]With the feelings now out and about in the Valley, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. Help Joy solve the Valley’s mood swings and explore the possibility of an ‘Imagination Land’. Then, help Sadness fix a ‘rainy day’ and connect with your sensitive side. Together, explore hidden “crying clouds” and follow a soft, tearful trail that leads to something unexpectedly healing.[/p][h2]A cozy place to be[/h2][p]But that’s not all – the Valley’s busy energy can be overwhelming for Sadness. How to unlock Sadness in Disney Dreamlight Valley




The Emotional Valley update introduced Joy and Sadness to Disney Dreamlight Valley, but while Joy is happy to move in right away, Sadness takes a little more convincing. Unlike a lot of character unlocks though, you technically only need to complete one quest before you can welcome Sadness. However, there's a lot of legwork to do in the run-up to triggering this quest which makes the process a little longer.

Before you can unlock Sadness as a villager, you need to have already completed all the quests to unlock Joy. This includes the Dream On quest, which gives you the item you need to take back to Sadness to start her unlock. Do this, and then follow these steps to welcome a new emotion to stay...
