"Might and Mastery" Update Out Now

- Conquer your way to the top with the brand new Leaderboard system in the Skyland base camp!


- Enjoy the completely revamped Skill Tree system:


- Visual Progression: Instead of passively unlocking godstones in a list, the new skill tree vividly showcases your journey as you level up.
- Empowered Choices: You'll have the freedom to explore godstone abilities before making your choice. Even when two godstones compete for a slot, you decide your path.
- Deep Dive: Each ability boasts its own branches and nodes. Customize your character to fit your style, with respec options available if you change your mind.
- Any Unique modifiers you collected will also be carried over to the new system and will become available to equip once you unlock Augments.
- Existing characters will be converted to the new system and you’ll be awarded points to invest in your skill trees.

[h3]Skill Tree Conversion Process[/h3]
All the Godstones you possess, regardless of their rarity, will have their accumulated XP combined and converted into skill points for the new system. The conversion ratio is such that having a combination of XP equivalent to 3 fully upgraded epic Godstones will maximize the points for that skill tree.

For every maxed Godstone's worth of XP, we also roll for an Augment of the same rarity type, and any Unique modifiers you have collected will be directly carried over to the new system as epic Augments. Augment slots, and Augment drops become available once you max out the skill points for an ability.

For our veteran players who obtained legendary godstones in the first few weeks of launch, their XP will be considered as epics for Augment rolls, and as a special reward, we will also be granting an exclusive title.

Various tuning to the early game in Skylands

We're excited to announce the Ascension update featuring an epic new encounter of Sae Jiko, a revamped introductory experience, and various godstone fixes.

  • Added the new Ascended Sae Jiko Raid Boss:
Barely escaping death, Sae Jiko, leader of the Skyland Exiled forces, mounts her final defense against the Zenithean Agents inside the Essotech Citadel. The hopes and dreams of The Exiled rest on her shoulders, but the ambition of The Last City knows no bounds. Rise to the occasion, defeat the Ascended Sae Jiko!
  • Accept the new "True Citadel" quest from the "Ascended" NPC in the Skyland Citadel Courtyard area to unlock the "Essotech Citadel" Raid!
  • Added new Essotech armor sets for all classes that accompany the weapons introduced in 1.3.3

  • Added a revamped introductory experience that's much shorter and highlights important basics like gliding, grappling hook and basic combat. Note: At launch only a portion of users will get the revamped introductory experience. During Alpha/Beta the new experience will be enabled for everyone
  • Rearranged points of interest in the Skyland base camp and added late game crafting stations
  • Invulnerability/unstaggerability is readable on enemy nameplates now
  • Damage numbers on invulnerable enemies show 0 now
  • Removed Sae Jiko's VO repeating on hit

In preparation of the godstone revamp, the team made various fixes to existing godstones to better match their descriptions and intended effects.
  • Fixed Ghost Step status effect so it matches its description
  • Fixed Rip and Tear upgrade on Sunder godstone never giving a multistrike
  • Fixed Protectors Vow giving incorrect amount of shield
  • Fixed Pillar Of Earth godstone not knocking back enemies
  • Fixed Foe Seeker threat effect to apply 40% as described
  • Wither and Rot - Changed description from "drain" to "slow"
  • Divine Favors - Changed the description of the modifier on Divine Blade to accurately reflect what is going on
  • Aether Spark - Removed overtime effect from charge 2 effects and removed self modifier from charge 3 heal
  • Amara's Radiance - Changed description to say 16m radius instead of 6m
  • Cleave - Changed description from deal 100% to 130%
  • Siphonic Arrows - Changed normal arrow effect from armor debuff to 2% heal
  • Armbreaker - Attack speed was reduced by 0%, changed to 30%
  • Divine Shift - Changed description from 5% to 15%
  • Glacial Orb - Changed description from 150% to 180%
  • Inevitable Demise - Changed stagger amount from 90% to 100%
  • Massive Icicle - Changed lower attack effect from 10% to 25%
  • Changed modifier max updates to be calculated more accurately

  • Fixed food tooltip calculations to more accurately reflect the actual behavior of eating the food.

We're excited to announce The Citadel Update! This update unveils the arena deep within Skylands, The Citadel, where you'll face off against the Exiled's fierce leader, Sae Jiko.

[h2]New Content[/h2]
- Added the Citadel arena in Skyland wherein lies a new world boss: Sae Jiko. What appears to be the primary antagonist is a charismatic Exiled leader who – or so Zenith believes – intends to use the strange resources of the “sky island” against it. Sae Jiko is a sympathetic villain who fights for the disenfranchised, the banished, the thousands cast from Zenith to perish or scratch out a living in Sylphid-infested wilderness. Now, seeing a chance to make a better life for her people, she won’t see it stolen by the city who spit them out.



- Added new pet: Kojika. Kojika is a brand new Pet that can be obtained as a drop from the Sae Jiko boss fight, or by turning in Marks of Devotion to The Ascended.



- Added a new weapon for each class, fight Sae Jiko and claim some of The Citadel's power for yourself! Similar to Kojika, these weapons can be obtained as a drop from Sae Jiko directly, or by turning in a number of Marks of Devotion to The Ascended.

[h3]Endgame Updates[/h3]
As we move towards releasing the new World Boss, Sae Jiko, in the Citadel Update (and to make room for additional end game content in future releases), the team has decided to alter the current path players take to reach Item Level 55. Mainly, in order to assist players old and new in reaching Item Level 55 in a timely manner, rewards from all relevant end game activities are increasing. We appreciate all your feedback thus far on the end game progression! A more thorough breakdown of these changes can be found below:

For context, these weapons will begin at Item Level 40, and as of the Citadel Update, can be infused up to Item Level 55 using materials from a variety of endgame activities. These weapons will continue to be relevant moving into a future update, where the infusion limit will be raised to Item Level 60, and once fully infused will be used to synth a brand new Tier 3 Ascended Legendary weapon.

[h2]Resolved Issues[/h2]
- Fixed public event HUD timers sticking around for too long
- Fixed player abilities being unequipped randomly
- Potential fix on some sub-accounts on shared quest headsets being unable to play the game due to an unpack error
- Fixed a bug with Cyber Ninjas' Assassin Strike ability that allowed unintended advantages. This has been resolved as part of ongoing efforts to ensure a balanced gameplay experience. In addition, we are making progress in prototyping the new skill tree system and will share more once we have an update.

Anyone who played on beta (play on PTR) for Rings & Ruins will earn the character title "Ring Runner". The character title will be distributed within a week of launch.

Since we're making continuous updates to Zenith, we're also moving away from the "Patches", "Minor", and "Major" naming conventions. Going forward we'll be using "Updates" to describe a group of changes.
We're excited to announce the Rings & Ruins Update! This update has a brand new area unlocked within Skylands, new pets, various bug fixes including godstone fixes and more.

New Content
- The wall in Skyland has now shifted, unlocking a brand new area to explore filled with new aerial challenges and quests. Help the Skyland expedition team expand their forces further into the island!
- Added a new chapter in the Skyland storyline, featuring two brand new characters!
- Added 3 new Public Events, including one of a brand new Payload Public Event type
- Work together to defend an objective, escorting it through the zone and towards a final destination, fighting off enemies as you go!
- Added a new Pylon buff for players to collect!
- Add new Epic Helm, Leggings, Chestpieces, and Weapons for players to craft!
- Added new pet: Bumblewing
- Added new pet: Grasslands Jellypuff

Feature/System Updates
- Made Skyland pylon stat buffs apply on top of regional downscaling instead of being limited by it
- Improvements to the world map - it recenters on the player when opened, and can be centered by clicking in the right joystick
- Reworked how godstone cooldowns work, so that switching godstones in combat is now possible and behaves as intended. Cooldowns will carry over to the new godstone
- Implemented a mechanism to prevent player data loss when logging in if data is unreadable. Players will be unable to log in and will be asked to contact support

Resolved Issues
- Fixed Meta Quest Pro using portals for loading and resetting to this on every login
- Fixed inability to move the harvesting tool for some players
- Fixed Essence Mage Tank Ultimate (Entropy Skewer) not applying stagger duration increase as described on its tooltip
- Fixed comfort preferences button on character list not working
- Potential fix for a crash that could occur on all platforms when loading the world, most often when coming back from an instanced raid/dungeon
- Fixed summoning lifeskills menu not showing the bottom row if it was less than half full
- Fixed an issue which could result in player inventories not being saved when being kicked from an instance via the timeout
- Fixed an issue which could cause the Skyland Agent rank to have all its challenges un-claimable (with an error popup) for some players
- Fixed an issue where player-ally NPC health bars could not show up if they spawned in front of the player
- Fixed certain kinds of status effects which should provide instant lifesteal to the player (e.g. Bloodblade) not working
- Fix for an issue which caused lag spikes when switching zones
- Fixed godstones breaking when switching between them after previously having had a stamina regen buff
