Peter is learning how to milk a cow!
Oink oink my friends!
Peter the pig here!

Since I moved to the farm I made a lot of cow friends, they are big and majestic just like me! So I would visit my friend Willow every day for some chit-chat, and since she's a mom, a cup of fresh milk that I share with her veal! We would talk about life, how pretty are butterflies, and that grandma makes the best pie!

Anyway, today in the morning, when I came, Willow was all sad and tired. She said, "somuuuuubody take muuuu milk please!" She explained that she is very uncomfortable if she is not giving milk every day, and Grandpa forgot to pay a visit today because the bees needed some cleaning at their house.
I decided to help Willow but I couldn't do it alone.
I called my friend for help, and since she knows more than me, she proposed to show me how it is done.

"It's very easy you see", she said, "all you need is to do one on the right and then on the left. And don't worry if some of the milk doesn't get to the bucket! It's not easy at the beginning!"

I tried it myself and my friend was right that at the beginning it's very hard to get to the bucket. After few times I eventually understood that it's a matter of rhythm and I got it right!

I know I wasn't an amazing fisherman but now I'm certain that I will be able to help Willow anytime she needs a hand with getting the milk. She was very happy! I am as well because eventually, I found something that I can do well.

Anyway, it was an oink day my friends!

Peter Curleytail is going fishing!
We're going fishing with my favourite human!
I always knew that I was somewhat of a fisherpig myself, and so, oink, I'm oh so happy to have the chance to learn how to fish!

I wonder what kind of aquatic friend I could make!

We made fish traps with an old pair of jeans that we sewed shut at one end with a bit of fishnet, and attached some cotton thread on a bamboo stick to make a fishing rod.

My friend told me that to be a good fisherman all you need is to be patient. We attached the traps in the water, threw the rods, and we waited. And we waited. The sky was blue, and the clouds were passing by.

After a very long time, I had enough of waiting and I wanted to meet my first fish! That fishing rod thing was making no sense, I jumped in the water to find a fish myself!

Oh, the water was cold! I didn't like it at all. I run out of it as fast as I got in and run straight to a nice little mud pond next to me.

My friend came back and she was surprised: "I left for only 5 minutes!" she said. What? It's been at least two hours already!

We laughed and decided that maybe fishing was not exactly for me.
One day I'll speak to a real whale from the river!

I wonder what adventures await me next! Have a good day friends!

Let's draw a bird
Today is "Draw A Bird Day"
A bit of history: in 1943 a young girl visited her uncle in a hospital. He has been wounded during the war. The girl asked her uncle to draw her a bird so that he can forget all his problems and cheer her up with the act of drawing. Even though the uncle's drawing wasn't exceptional it made the whole family happy.

Whether it's a sparrow, an eagle, or a simple pigeon, let's honour our feathered friends with a picture!

It is not about drawing skills but about having fun and enjoying little moments in our lives!

Peter Curleytail's Shearing Shenanigans
Dear Diary, Peter Curleytail the pig here again!
I have to tell you about the most amazing adventure I had today on the farm. I thought I had seen it all, but today was truly a woolly whirlwind!

So, I was exploring the farm with my human friend when we stumbled upon a group of sheep. They seemed a bit restless and, dare I say, itchy. They kept rubbing themselves against trees and fences. My human friend told me they were due for a shave!

I was so curious, I just had to watch. My human friend grabbed a pair of shears and started gently shaving the sheep. I must admit, at first, I was a little worried about their safety, but my friend assured me that the shearing process was not only safe, but necessary for the sheep's health and comfort. As the wool came off, the sheep seemed to feel lighter and happier.

After the shearing was complete, my human friend showed me all the beautiful wool we had collected. They told me that this wool would be used to create cozy blankets, stylish clothing, and even soft toys for the little ones. I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in our accomplishment.

So I've decided to become a shaving assistant! Of course, with my hooves, I won't be able to hold the shears myself, but I'll be there for moral support and to help gather the wool. Maybe one day, I'll even have my own woolly creation to snuggle up in!

Until then, I'll be practicing my shearing skills and learning everything there is to know about our fluffy friends. Oink oink!
