If you're looking for the perfect category to compliment your next trivia night then do check out the fantastic content players have been creating in the Steam Workshop. Interested in creating a pack yourself? The Official Creator Guide will help you get started (anyone can do it)!

We cannot wait to see what sort of packs our community will create with GIF support! To celebrate, Trivia Tricks is on sale with a historic post-launch discount. This is an awesome time to upgrade from Friend Pass to the full game, or to gift the game to a friend and support future development!

  • Added support for GIF, MP4, and WebP formats for Steam Workshop packs.
  • When creating or updating a Workshop pack, Trivia Tricks will now validate that all images in the pack can load and that they are under 5MB in size. This will help creators find problematic images in their packs.
  • Games will now start faster, as Trivia Tricks no longer needs to download all images that will be used in that game before it begins.
  • The thumbnails for Workshop packs in the Categories Menu now download significantly faster.
  • Fixed an issue where creating new Workshop Packs could result in the creation of several identical packs.
  • Fixed a bug where the notification suggesting that players using the mouse should instead use the WASD keys would not always appear when it should with certain combinations of local players, or would dismiss before the player had answered with the WASD keys.
  • Fixed an issue where MP4s would pause on the first frame for several seconds when they were first loaded in the Workshop Preview menu.

🍏 Trivia Tricks launches on macOS with cross-play! + Workshop GIF Preview! 🎥

Hello Tricksters!

Get ready to connect with a whole new group of players! Today, Trivia Tricks launches on macOS with full cross-play support!

A native Mac version of both Trivia Tricks and the Trivia Tricks Friend Pass are now available for download on Steam! The Mac release includes all the features you would expect from Trivia Tricks, including custom Workshop packs and Twitch Integration.

It doesn't matter if your friends are on Mac, Windows or Linux (including Steam Deck) as everyone can now play Trivia Tricks together seamlessly. This includes full cross-play support for Friend Pass, bringing more friends together for free!

We’re continuing to investigate the possibility of getting Trivia Tricks ported to more platforms, so stay tuned!

We're also excited to announce our next update, launching on May 23rd, which will bring a much-requested feature to Workshop packs... support for animated GIFs!

From today, you can start adding GIFs to your custom question packs to see how they look using the Workshop Preview menu. We still have some optimization to do before they can be used in-game, so these packs can't be uploaded until May 23rd, but you can start creating yours in preparation for the big day!
