Meet Dash, the Sports Superfan! + More Cosmetics & Questions!

Hello Tricksters!

A major update is available for Trivia Tricks now! Inside you'll find more cosmetics, an overhaul of the anime category and a whole new boss!

Introducing Trivia Tricks' latest boss, Dash! An expert Trickster on all things fitness! Dash locks in the Sports and Geography categories, but you can give yourself a fighting chance by adding two additional categories to the pool, so pick your favorites! Outsmarting Dash will earn you his Soda Hat, drinks included. Good luck!

Additionally, this update adds over 65 new questions to the Sports category about game rules and terminology, with the intent of making the category more suitable for a global audience. Give it a try and let us know what you think!

Of course, new boss means new wearables! You’ll find a sports jersey, several face paint designs and even a foam finger in the Character Creator! We can't wait to see the characters you'll create!

Our final headlining addition this update is the continuation of our efforts to remove overly niche, complicated and poorly worded questions from our database, with both the 'Food & Drink' and 'Anime' categories now being fully reviewed! Extra attention has been given to ‘Anime’, with over 120 additional questions to give the category more focus on popular shows such as ‘Attack on Titan’, ‘One Punch Man’, ‘Hunter X Hunter’ and dozens more!

Behind the scenes, Workshop support continues to be the primary focus of development with the user interface for uploading and updating Workshop categories being complete in our dev builds. We've already began work so those categories can be selected in a lobby and we are building the infrastructure so questions will be properly selected and displayed in-game. Thanks for your patience, and stay tuned for more exciting updates!

Category Review Continues + Stage Updates!

Hey everyone!

Another update for Trivia Tricks is coming your way! The Animals and History categories have been quality reviewed and there are a few updates to a number of stages too!

Firstly, we've continued our efforts to remove overly niche, complicated and poorly worded questions from our database - this time focusing on Animals and History. This will improve the overall quality of our questions with more improvements to come in future updates.

Lastly some Workshop developments! Over the last two weeks, we've been implementing security for Workshop custom question packs. With these measures in place you won't have to risk your questions being used elsewhere without your permission.

Progress Update on Workshop + FPS Uncap & Category Reviews!

Hey everyone!

It’s time for another Trivia Tricks Regular Update! We’ve got new FPS options, a new undertaking to make our question quality even better and an update on our Workshop progress so far! Read on!

Firstly, several exciting developments in performance! We’ve removed the 60FPS cap on Trivia Tricks, allowing the game to take full advantage of high refresh rate monitors. Additionally, we’ve been improving performance on the lower graphics settings. To take full advantage of these options, check out the new FPS cap available in the Settings menu.

Of course, nothing is more important in Trivia Tricks than the questions! As we’ve recently passed 5,000 questions we thought it was time to review the quality of our categories and begin to prune or rewrite questions that either require niche knowledge, are too convoluted or are generally not very fun for an international audience. This update we reviewed every question in the Music and Sports categories, and will continue to review categories case-by-case over the next few updates.

Lastly, we're close to a Beta for workshop support! This week we finished designing all UI related to our Workshop update. Soon you will be able to upload your custom categories and select them as you would any other category! Keep an eye on our our next few updates!

Visual Clarity And Performance Improvements + Goodbye Trivia Snowdown!

Hey everyone!

Today's update brings a close to our festive event: Trivia Snowdown. We hope you all had fun taking on Santa and Krampus in Co-Op and managed to collect a new hat or two for your troubles! The missions, any unbought festive cosmetics and the Boss challenge will no longer be available until next year. The Winter Village stage however will still be selectable from the stage select menu so feel free to return whenever you like.

Some other non-event related updates includes visual clarity to help you see who was correct or incorrect when an answer is revealed. Your podium will now display a tick or a cross for all to see. There's no hiding your mistakes now! A lot of behind the scenes fixes have been implemented for a smoother gameplay experience too!
