SimRail 2021 Demo feedback

We would like to thank you all for your input in creating SimRail 2021.
We have gone through your comments on our Steam community hub, Facebook and private messages. We are glad that there is a lot of people willing to help with their advice and good word. We would like to share with you some of the common answers and clarifications related to SimRail 2021.

There is a lot of comments about the level of optimization of SimRail 2021. Currently, our team is working very hard to make SimRail 2021 work super smooth even on the older Pc's. We are making progress every day and we see the improvement. This issue is mostly because of very detailed physics simulations that need to be counted in real-time. For example braking fluids are counted 1000 times per second to give the 100% real behaviour of the vehicle.

We got information that in some cases antivirus software can identify SimRail as a threat. This is due to the fact that there is a lot of different software that need to be updated by us about our SimRail. There is no threat in-game, we are working on getting to the white list of every antivirus software.

Because of your suggestions we are currently working on improving our HUD especially in terms of clarity, for example, where the train should stop and the distance to special points like semaphores. We also are experimenting with different control settings for a more pleasurable ride. Also please note that the power throttle in the EN96 train is especially tricky and not very intuitive. Our next step is to give you more clarifications on controls and regulations, so each player knows exactly how to act depends on the situation.

We are glad that there is a lot of suggestions about what to add to the game, so we are working on the minimap, adding some more features to the cameras. We are currently implementing more wiggly camera in the cockpit for better immersion. And more customisable sound options, for example, to tune down the sound of the vigilance switch. The next step will be to add the ability for the longer drawing distances. We acknowledge that there is a need for improving the anty aliasing in the game, and we are currently focusing on fixing it as soon as possible.

We already have fixed some of the issues that you have reported and we are thankful for all of your input in creating SimRail 2021.

Remember that our community hub is always open to your ideas and reports.

We would like to inform you all that the current demo will be updated soon with another scenario where you will be able to drive Traxx E186 for free.

Stay tuned
SimRail team.
