SimRail UPDATE 21.11.2023

Dear RailFans

Today is a very important day!
The long-awaited update has just arrived at the final station.

We would like to officially welcome Koleje Śląskie and Cargo Unit railway carriers, whose vehicles can be found in the game, on board SimRail.



We have done a lot of work in recent months, the most important new things include: EMU EN57 & EN71, graphics engine update, new livery and cabins for existing rolling stock, multiple EMU connections, new weather system, seasonal support, new signal boxes, new vegetation models, improved anti-aliasing and much more.



We highly recommend completing the EN57 tutorial before driving yourself to understand the vehicle's operating mechanisms.

- EN57 and EN71 vehicles in many liveries and variants added

- EU07 sunblinds fixed
- Train sync is now smoother
- Servers will only show when they are fully set up now
- A path set for a train will be reset now, when the train gets derailed or deleted
- Paper timetables in vehicle cabins introduced
- Memory leaks causing unplanned server restarts found and plumbed
- Server problems can be reported now from the Tab menu

TRAIN DRIVER
- Orbit camera and train movement is now much smoother
- Timetable can be scrolled now
- Radio channel information added to the timetable
- Fixed a bug causing players to be punished for departing too early from the last station in scenarios
- Fixed a bug letting signals to be passed at Danger
- Stop position at Warszawa Ursus Niedźwiadek fixed
- Wiper and washer systems improvements
- The driver is not able to click the dispatcher panels anymore
- You can lean out of the cab windows now
- The AI driver will open the doors on the correct side now
- The HUD speed limit will be displayed correctly now when switching from driving to shunting and back


SCENERY
- Fixed a bug causing ballast under junctions to disappear
- Fixed a bug causing roads and poles to change color to red or blue
- Various scenery fixes
- Lighting effects when entering and leaving a tunnel improved
DISPATCHER MODE
- New domino-panel signal boxes added: Dąbrowa Górnicza Ząbkowice, Sławków, Łazy Ła
- Top-view camera for domino panels added ("2" key)
- CCTV cameras introduced for signal boxes
- Railway crossings can now be operated with the CCTV system
- Dispatcher player's name is now displayed next to the station name on the chat box
- It is impossible now to free-text chat with an AI-operated signal box
- The AI dispatcher will fill the EDR data now
- Power switch added to domino panels
- Fixed the counters that collided with panel model
- Fixed a bug causing messages not to be delivered when the players change
- Fixed a bug causing radio models to disappear or not load
- It is now impossible to click on unloaded computer screens at different stations

- "Depot" mode added, allowing you to discover and explore all available vehicles up close
- Seasons added
- New weather and lighting system introduced
- New input system with gamepad support introduced

SimRail oncoming PATCH 21.11.2023

Dear RailFans

You have been waiting for this moment for a very long time and it will come soon.
Our team has done a lot of hard work in recent months, which will allow us to accelerate the development of the game and its assets. We would like to thank all our fans who encouraged us and supported us in our work, as well as the testers who had a lot of work.




The number of changes is so huge that we decided to divide the update into two parts. Both will certainly make up for the long wait for new things.

The first one, which will appear on November 21, 2023, will include, among others:
-EN57 electric multiple unit in many variants
-new weather system (sky and lighting)
-updated graphics engine
-season system (autumn, winter)
- completely new ipnut system, allowing you to connect external controllers, joysticks, etc.
-new signal boxes
-new paintings and cabins for existing vehicles
-professional timetables, transferred from the real railway template
-cameras at railway crossings
-updated vegetation models
-new TAA antialiasing model using AMD Contrast Adaptive Sharpening
- locomotive depot
...and many others!



Over the next few weeks, we will present you the individual changes we have made.

SimRail DEVLOG 23.06.2023

Dear RailFans

After a time of smaller tweaks and updates, it's time for some bigger changes based on the expectations players have shared with us on our discussion forums. ⚒🚂👷‍♂️


We are currently working on upgrading the graphics engine, which forces us to take a temporary break from updating the game, but it should allow for some new solutions and rendering quality improvements. We ask for a few more weeks of patience, and in the meantime we present to you what we are currently working on.

Today as always we have a lot of interesting things for you!

We have added, among others, 3 new signal boxes (including the main station in Katowice, which is a big challenge), new liveries of Dragon 2 locomotives (we have established cooperation with "Cargounit" railway company), a new type of car 408S "Uacs" and... completely new timetable and consists in multiplayer mode, with much more trains.



In addition, many optimizations and fixes have been made, including the sounds of the Z2 wagons and the Dragon locomotive.
