Save 40% and Support Whale and Dolphin Conservation

Secret Mode are incredibly pleased to announce support for this year’s Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) World Oceans Day Steam Sale, which begins on 8 June at 18.00 BST, along with the Games for Waves Streaming Week initiative.

During the first 24 hours (18.00 BST on 8 June to 17.59 BST on 9 June) of the World Oceans Day Steam Sale, 100% of net publisher revenues for Wobbledogs and the Secret Mode published A Little to the Left on Steam will be donated to WDC. Wobbledogs will be discounted by 40% throughout the whole sale (8 – 15 June).

WDC’s Games for Waves Streaming Week runs from June 8th to June 15th and during this time gamers can stream their favourite games while raising vital funds for Whale and Dolphin Conservation. Secret Mode agents will be streaming during this time, and you can tune in, donate, and help them reach their targets.

Secret Mode’s Agent S has stated that if £10,000 is raised, he would shave off his beloved moustache live on stream.

If you’d like to donate, you can do so via this link: https://tiltify.com/@secret-mode/secret-mode-for-wdc

Wobbledogs Console Edition Mutating

Mad scientists and dog lovers rejoice! Wobbledogs Console Edition is launching on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 23rd. Prepare to generate and mutate your own kennel of loveable mutant mutts, keep them happy and fed, and then feed their corpses to their clone children (if you want to).

Already a huge hit on Steam and Nintendo Switch™, Wobbledogs Console Edition will launch on PlayStation and Xbox with all the same content as the existing Nintendo Switch version.

Both new editions have been optimised for their respective consoles, with a revamped UI to make digital dog raising better with a controller. And yes, you can still pet the dogs!

v1.05.03 - More hotfixes

Hopefully the final round of fixes for this last patch!

Bug fixes:
  • There was a low framerate race condition that made it possible for automation options to auto pupate a dog or auto hatch an egg within a super tight timing window after the player entered construction mode. If this happened, the game would soft lock. I was finally able to reproduce this issue by artificially tanking the framerate, and have inserted an extra protection to prevent this from happening.

  • I've received a few scattered reports of dogs standing in one spot and starving while trying to lay an egg with automation options enabled. I could not figure out how to reproduce this, but I did find one place in code where there was potential for an infinite loop that, if triggered, would produce this exact behavior. I've added protections to this area in code such that the loop will automatically end after a certain amount of time no matter what. This will result in dogs laying white fertilized eggs instead of colored fertilized eggs (in instances that would have otherwise frozen the dogs), but should not otherwise interrupt the game. I don't believe this was affecting very many players, and hopefully this smooths things over.

Have a great week!
-Tom
