I am the Environment Artist for the game.
In this issue of Development Room News, I'd like to mix things up a bit and talk about the game lore.

I would like to talk about the topic I would like to cover this time is ""What do The Holy Ones eat?""
The Holy Ones are the chosen ones who live in the God's domain, but they still need to consume food to sustain their lives."
"As a knight, you may have encountered a variety of insects that inhabit the sanctuary during your exploration.
In fact, these insects are the food of The Holy Ones.



The insects that inhabit the sanctuary differ from those of the real world in that their ecology is similar to that of plants until they hatch.
In beetle grass, the insects start their life as flowers and after the fruit has fully matured, they turn into insects.
When the fruit matures, the insect disperses to different parts of the world with its wings, carrying pollen on its own.



The Holy Ones harvest the ripe fruit just before the insects fly away as food.
The berries grown as insects are the most nutritious and can be secured in large quantities at a time.
They are said to eat them in a variety of ways, including baking, boiling, and steaming, as an exquisite dish with an exquisite aroma.

In addition to those introduced here, there are many other insects that appear in LOST EPIC.
If you find a recipe that uses insects, why don't you give them a try and enjoy them with your tongue?

Hello, my name is Ninomiya, and I am in charge of motion for LOST EPIC.
I hope you are enjoying LOST EPIC.

We have almost completed the development of the animation part of the game, and we are now working on the additions for the final version of the game.
In this issue, we would like to introduce some of the animations that you can't see during the battle.

In this issue, we present larger images of some of the players and NPCs.
I used an animation tool called Spine to achieve smooth 2D animations.
And Namie's illustrations are great. We had a lot of fun moving them.
There are currently 16 different player characters in LOST EPIC.
I love the fact that you can customize the look and play style by combining various accessories, weapons, and thingies.
This was my first time developing an indie game, and I had to create almost all the animations by myself in a year and a half, which was a different kind of tension than when I was working for a company...

We are also working on brushing up our motion and other things for the production version, so please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or comments.

- Changed the performance of Miracle Medicine of Nabel
Before: Instant recovery of Divine Skill cool time
After: Divine Skill cool time is shortened for a certain period of time
- Slightly increase player default movement speed
- Adjusted the speed at which each weapon's attack connects slightly faster
- Changed specifications of enemy armor values
 Before: Recovered instantly after a certain period of time
 After: Gradual recovery after a certain period of time
 Characters will gradualy turn red as they approach Armor Break
 Updated gauge display for armor count
 Extended stun time, effects, and added SE for Guard Break for some enemies
 Weakened the armor of Gratien-type enamies

Thank you for playing LOSTEPIC.
My name is Kobayashi and I am in charge of UI.

We are currently working on the UI to make it easier for everyone to play LOSTEPIC in preparation for the scheduled update at the end of March and the major update in May.
I would like to report on some of the current improvements.

◆UI display around depths
 →Icons for depths will be changed to improve visibility and to indicate the weapons used for depths.




◆List of possessions
 →The appearance of equipment selection and equipping will be changed.




◆About the frame of limit-breaking Divine Skills
 → Adjustments will be made to make it easier to distinguish between the depth frame and the depth frame.




◆Adjustment of menu screen
 →Adjustments will be made to each menu screen, such as the tabs on the cooking screen and the number of items in possession.




We will also correct and improve the UI during battle, as reported in the previous development newsletter.
We also plan to adjust the online UI in the future.

Hi, I'm Shimomachi Games, the director and programmer of Lost Epic.
This time, I'd like to write about the feedback we've received from you.

- Relax the limit of the child witch's bag.
→ If there are multiple items of the same material, they will occupy the same amount of space in the bag, but after the change, the same materials can be stacked and deposited.

- Addressed the issue of too much leveling up in the early stages of the game, as many of the later gospels are more effective.
→ All gospels will be viewable from the beginning.
→ Gospels cannot be obtained until the boss is defeated, but this will be presented in advance to reduce the sense of disadvantage.

- Introduce an item that converts gospel acquired with skill points back into points.
→ All gospels on a single page can be returned to skill points.
The number is limited, but we assume you can get up to 5 or 6 of them.

- UI to supplement fighting methods
→ Depending on how you fight, we are planning to make changes around the UI display, such as guiding you to enemies that can be easily defeated, displaying damage after armor breaks, and hitting weak points.

We are working to deliver an update with the above content by the end of March.
In addition to the above, we are also making adjustments to weapons, thingies, and the UI, so please continue to support Lost Epic.
