Hotfix V0.3.8

Dear mayors,

After this update, the savadata are fully compatible, and some exceptions will be listed separately; In addition to the subsequent crashes and other bugs that have to be fixed as soon as possible, we will try to reduce the frequency of updates and update more content at a single time!

Update Log [Version 0.3.8]
Bug fix:
  • Don't eat/take bath/stay in place situations caused by the AI problem
  • Fixed a BUG where the game would crash if farmland and some buildings were deleted
  • Fixed a BUG where the game would crash after killing monsters
  • Optimized the number of bones bound to plants, increasing FPS
  • Optimized the number of bones bound to some building models, increasing FPS
  • Optimized UI logic to improve fluency and reduce system usage (the number of people in the old archive is displayed incorrectly, and will return to normal after refresh)
  • Improved logic for repairing buildings
  • Perpetuity Mining and God's Farm now display data correctly
  • Fixed the warehouse hyperframe issue
  • Fixed some BUFF UI display errors
  • Add female Warden and Puppet Master drawing


As for the performance optimization, we're still working on it. After the completion of this update, we will start to optimize the building modules.
In terms of gameplay polish and new features, we'll work on it once we've made the near-term version stable. Your questions and suggestions through various channels are on record and will be followed step by step according to priority

Bug fix:
  • Fixed a BUG where demolishing roads or buildings would cause a crash in some cases
  • Fixed crash when using resource integration
  • Optimized later fertility probability
  • Increase the output of Perpetual Mining/Quarry/God's Farm

Please note that this update includes performance optimizations for the tree module. If an exception is caused by reading an old savedata, we provide the option to switch to an old version. To do this: Steam Library → The Immortal Mayor → Right-click [Properties] → Betas → Select an old version (e.g. V0.3.4)

  • Fixed a bug where some player save buttons disappeared
  • Fixed a crash when upgrading certain technologies
  • Increased the output of Deity farm
  • Fixed an issue where some players went black for the first time (now default window mode for the first time)
  • Fixed the bug that the refresh location is not correct after reading the Moster Lair files
  • Fixed the bug that when the Lodge came back, it would not start again occasionally

Bug fix:
  • Optimized tree performance to improve game frame performance
  • Optimized some lighting in the scene to improve game frame performance
  • Fixed a crash when upgrading certain technologies
  • Fixed a BUG where villagers would not perform the Eat/Get Clothing/Wash action under certain circumstances
  • Fixed an issue where some players went black for the first time (now default 1080P+ window mode for the first time)
  • Fixed ambiguous text description in some technologies
  • Reduced the number of villagers' demands, and increased the buff of decorations (made it easier to upgrade certain buildings)
  • Adjusted the speed of clothing consumption to make ordinary clothes more durable
  • Weakened the buffs when villagers steal food, making it less frequent
  • Fixed a BUG where the same map seed could get different results with different probabilities
  • Increased production of permanent quarries and permanent quarries
  • Added female hunter model

The Immortal Mayor is a chill, Anno-style city builder inspired by ancient China

If there's something we have a lot of time for right now, it's a tranquil, chill city-building game. The latest to catch our eye is Yooreka Studio's The Immortal Mayor, a construction and management simulator that's inspired by ancient Chinese culture and has just hit Steam Early Access.


You play as a local god that's tasked with building and managing a burgeoning city built up with cultural Chinese inspirations and architecture. You have to carefully plan out each villager's day and manage resources to prepare for the seasonal changes and challenges that lay ahead - as all good gods do, of course. That involves everything from farming and mining to city planning and defence building so winter isn't too frightful and an onslaught of monsters appear less gruesome.


You can befriend other gods, too, if you fancy and use their magic to help your residents build and grow the town. A Moon Elder can significantly increase people's willingness to get married and have kids, while a Weather Master can, well, control the weather. You're also getting heaps of decorations to decorate your town, and some of them even have specific effects on your villagers' overall stats.
