A new update arrives today for Sloth Tales. Version 1.4.0 adds in support for custom characters that have been created with the Animal Maker. Paste or load in a code and now you can play Sloth Tales as whoever you like.

[/p][h2]What even is the Animal Maker?[/h2][p][/p][p]The Animal Maker is a character creator tool that's designed to be universally compatible with several games I've made. It's included with both the original Lion Quest as well as CAPITALISM The action board game for one player. Characters made in both games are compatible with each other, and now either can also be loaded into Sloth Tales.

But don't worry if you don't own either of these games, this update still lets you load in any number of pre-made characters such as the ones further down this page, which includes all the characters from Lion Quest and Lion Quest Infinity. From the Sloth Tales main menu select CUSTOM CHARACTER, copy the code below to the clipboard and then press PASTE CODE.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]

A quick patch to address an issue with the "Jimmy the Sloth" achievement not unlocking!

A new update for Sloth Tales arrives. It includes the following cool changes:

• D-pad input support for character movement
  
• Support for M1 Macs
  
• Improved handling of uncapped framerates
  
• Tutorial icons for high-jump
  
• Xbox/ PlayStation/ Keyboard specific controller glyphs
  
• Improved support for non-standard screen widths
  
• Engine upgrade
  
• Minor geometry adjustments
  
• Minor physics and lighting adjustments
  
• Revised game completion screen
  

A new update arrives today for Sloth Tales. This coincides with the release of Sloth Tales on both iOS and Android. As the game is free (and with no adverts either) there is nothing stopping you from having the game on both your computer and your phone!

During the porting process I also took the opportunity to revamp elements of the core game. There are many mobile-specific things I've added such as the touch controller and resized interface which are separate and not part of the desktop release, but there are also lots and lots of improvements to the game which I am very excited to be able to offer here too.



The new changes to Sloth Tales are as follows:

• A large amount of scene tweaks have been made, slightly adjusting the geometry across all levels in the game. The main goal here has been to reduce frustration with some of the game's more difficult sections, whilst also retaining some of the difficulty as the game is intended to provide a degree of challenge.
  
• A new area has been added to the start of the game. This acts as a tutorial of sorts and is designed to help new players familiarise themselves with the game's mechanics.
  
• Story redux: The dialogue has been revised to better explain the objective of Jimmy's adventure. As above, I have intended to retain the spirit of the original release, but creative adjustments have been made to improve the experience.
  
• Game progress now displays as part of the interface. You can see how many keys you have found and used in the top right of the screen.
  
• Some bugs have been fixed where progress would incorrectly save between sessions
  
• An exciting new menu background has been added in
  
• This version includes engine upgrade, performance updates and many miscellaneous bug fixes.
  
• A Linux version of the game is now available.
