Vote for the City Level Contest winners + City ZSL Results!!

The first Zeepkist Super League event of Season 2 concluded yesterday and now it's time to vote for the best themed levels from the City level contest!

Builders were tasked with building a level that has players racing around a city environment.

For example, a level that takes place on rooftops, in a subway, a city park, through a busy street lined with skyscrapers or in a post-apocalyptic city ravaged by kaiju!

Voting is open until Saturday 3rd June, 2023 at 18:00 BST

Zeepkist Awesome Alpha - Version 15, Patch 16-20

Hey everyone!!

I went ahead and took a shallow dive into the online photo mode "camera mode" code, to see if there were improvements to be made!

And there were! In fact the whole thing can probably use a big overhaul in the future, but for now I figured I'd just slap on some extra better options to improve usability in the meantime!

SO
New Camera Modes!
I've added 2 new camera modes to online photo mode!
Static Follow and Dynamic Follow

Static Follow follows your target player statically, from a fixed point behind the other player.

Dynamic Follow does much the same, except the camera will stay level to the horizon.

Static:

Dynamic:

The difference isn't super big, but they're nice options to have.

You'll need to hop into the keybinding settings to bind keys to "Camera 6" and "Camera 7".
Only Spectate Favorited Players
kAN and the boys also told me they were interested in a way to only spectate players they'd favorited, in order to more easily watch what their friends are doing. So I made it so you can "spectate priority" people from the leaderboard now!

By default I've bound them to Ctrl+N and Ctrl+M. (The bindings for looping through all players are M and N)

You can change these in the keybinding settings if you'd like!
Favoriting People From Leaderboard
To aid with the new "Only Spectate Favorites" feature, I've added "Spectate Player" buttons to the Leaderboard view!

This should make it a lot easier to spectate people!

Remember, favorited people will always be able to join your lobbies, overriding the "max allowed players" in a lobby!
Patch 17:
- Someone found a bug in singleplayer which I fixed!
- Improved Dynamic Follow camera
- Press Camera 6 and Camera 7 multiple times to toggle between looking forward and backwards!

Looking backwards:
Patch 18:
- Fixed favoriting people not working as non-host
Patch 19:
- I had to decouple the "spectate favorite" system from the "join room priority" favorite system because it doesn't work on the backend. Uhh anyway these are now separate systems! The "spectate favorites" can be set through leaderboard view! :D
Patch 20:
- Small fixes

Level Contest - Gravity
THEME: Gravity
• Build a level that has players racing under the power of gravity only

  • Level MUST NOT have any boosters, fans or slowsters (or other forms of propulsion - e.g hammer or windmill blade boosts)

  • Looking for ideas? How about a steep downhill course or recreating a real life soapbox racing course!
DEADLINE
• Your track should be complete and submitted by Saturday, 3rd June 2023 at 18:00 UTC+1

  • Submissions will be combined into a single workshop item after the deadline above
SUBMISSION RULES
1. You can only submit one level (you can modify or replace your submission as much as you like until the deadline)
  2. Level collaborations are permitted (this counts as a level submission for each individual creator)
  3. The name of the level MUST start with "ZSL - " (e.g "ZSL - My Level")
LEVEL RULES
1. Level MUST NOT have any boosters, fans or slowsters (or other forms of propulsion - e.g hammer or windmill blade boosts)
  2. Scaling track pieces is permitted
  3. Level MUST follow any theme requirements set
  4. Level MUST have fewer than 4000 blocks
  5. Level MUST have an author time above 30 seconds
  6. Level MUST have an author time under 1 minute 30 seconds
  7. Level MUST have at least 2 checkpoints. Consider adding additional checkpoints for split timing or where it would prevent a cut, as cuts do not make for good tournament tracks!
  8. Level MUST NOT have hidden finishes/shortcuts (e.g using no-collision or invisible blocks to hide a secret path that is NOT the intended route)
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR LEVEL
1. Join our Official Discord server
  2. Upload the level to the Steam Workshop
  3. Link the workshop item in the theme's thread in #level-submissions

Don't have Discord? You can submit your entry by linking it in the Steam forum thread for this announcement!
WINNERS & PRIZES
• Up to 15 of the submitted levels will be used for the next Zeepkist Super League event
  • The community will vote on their favourite maps from the theme after the ZSL event
  • The best themed level and the top 3 from the community vote will get a `Level Contest Winner` role and 3,000 EXP in our Discord server and a special hard hat cosmetic in-game!!

We're also hosting a themed banner contest for our discord server banner image!

The theme is Beach and ends at the same time as this level contest!! View the banner contest event details on Discord
