We’ve got some exciting news for you—every 2-3 weeks, we’ll be rolling out FREE updates to the game - content packs with new items that you can find in the Storage Units.

We just wanted to take a moment to thank you for being such a big part of our journey! Your feedback and ideas never cease to amaze us, and we're truly grateful for the passion you bring to the game!

Based on your suggestions, we’re excited to launch our first community poll—and you can vote for your favorite feature HERE.

Don’t worry if your pick doesn’t win! The poll is to help us prioritize what to develop first, but popular ideas that don’t make it this time around will still have a strong chance of making their way into the game later on.

These options aren’t everything we plan to add during Early Access, just what we’d like to ask you about right now.

Hello everyone,

We’re continuing to improve stability and performance in Storage Hunter Simulator and have another small hotfix going live today that addresses some bugs and performance issues!

IMPORTANT: If you have performance/crash problems we would really ask you to update your graphics drivers to start with. Our game needs the latest drivers. We have already helped dozens of support people this way.

The game currently runs smoothly even on weaker computers - so there may be problems on some configurations due to settings, drivers, or bugs we don't know yet - let us know, it's Early Access!

[h2]Fixes:[/h2]

• More Fixes to Tools Level System: Additional fixes to ensure the tools leveling system functions properly without glitches.
  
• Graphics Card Detection: Added automatic detection of the player’s GPU (AMD or NVIDIA) to set optimal settings. Frame Generation and Ray Tracing are now disabled by default, with further optimization of DLSS settings.
  
• 25,000$ House Warehouse Spawn Issue: Fixed items spawning on the roof, now correctly appearing inside the warehouse.
  
• Falling Boxes Issue: Resolved the issue of boxes dropping from the sky.
  
• Chest Item Blockage Fix: Fixed items getting stuck inside chests.
  
• Small Items Disappearance Fix: Addressed issues with small items disappearing unexpectedly.
  
• Start Trailer Sale Restored: Re-enabled the option to sell the starting trailer.
  
• Gameplay Change - Faster Repairs: Instant repairs now happen at the correct level based on the item's condition.
  

[h2]What’s next? [/h2]

• Architect Mode: A bug causing players to lose items placed via Architect mode is being worked on.
  
• Additional Bug Fixes: Smaller, non-game-breaking bugs reported on forums and Discord will also be addressed in future patches.
  

And we'll start doing playability tweaks and do a roadmap survey :)

These updates address some of the more frustrating bugs players encountered, like the spawning issues and disappearing items, making gameplay smoother. T

The ongoing effort to enhance system performance, especially with GPU detection, should also reduce hardware-related issues and provide a better experience for a broader range of players.

Hello everyone,

We sincerely apologize for the recent inconvenience with tools disappearing.

This issue has been permanently resolved for all current and new players. However, our solution may not recover progress for everyone. So please check if your tools have reappeared and if not follow instructions below.

VERY IMPORTANT: To ensure that you recover your tools, start the game from LOAD GAME not through the button continue!!!



If you did not recover your tools in the newest update - to ensure the best possible experience for everyone, we are offering assistance to anyone who has lost tool levels due to this bug.


Please follow the steps below to get your progress restored:

1. Join our Discord and click open-ticket

2. Let us know which tools levels you have lost.
3. Send us your save file.

To find your save files:

1. Type in windows explorer: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\StorageHunter\
2. Pack entire SAVED folder into a Zip/Rar

OR

1. Using Run Command Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
2. Type: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\StorageHunter\ and hit Enter.
3. Pack entire SAVED folder into a Zip/Rar

Once you’ve submitted the necessary information, we’ll work on resolving the issue for you ASAP.

[h3]Performance Drop After Last Update[/h3]
Some users have reported performance drops after the recent update. If you're experiencing this, we recommend the following steps to improve performance:

• Verify game files on Steam. (You can follow this instruction).
  
• Enable DLSS or FSR for optimized frame rates.
  
• Consider disabling frame generation or ray tracing. IT’S IMPORTANT ON 30x and 40x Geforce graphic cards; those features are not working properly right now.
• Limit FPS to 30/60, depending on your processor's capabilities.
  

We’ve made adjustments to the default settings as they generated the errors as well. If you notice FPS drops or visual glitches, try changing one of the graphics settings and then reverting back to your original choice—it may help stabilize performance.

We're back with more fixes and improvements.

Here's what's been patched:

[h2]Fixed:[/h2]

• Pawnshop: NPCs not appearing
  
• Pawnshop: NPCs stopped buying items
  
• Pawnshop: NPCs pathing
  
• Auctions not showing up or appearing as finished
  
• Items disappearing inside cars
  
• Items vanishing underground
  
• Items spoiling in chests
  
• Crashes: Crashes should now be rare or non-existent. Remember to update your drivers and restart your PC after doing so. If you still experience crashes, please set your FPS limit to 60 and if you have an AMD graphic card pick FST in Additional Options or DLSS if you game high-end (30x and above) RTX graphic card.
  
• Graphical glitches and performance: Visual issues should be resolved, and overall game performance is expected to improve.
  

[h3]Note: If auctions are still not showing up after loading a save, try sleeping in-game for a day or two to reset it.[/h3]

[h2]Fixes In Progress:[/h2]

• Tools resetting: Disabled the trailer sale, which should reduce most tool-resetting bugs. Tools should reappear for some players, but we're working on a more permanent solution.
  
• Items sticking together: We're working on a fix for items getting stuck to each other or chests.
  

Those two Fixes In Progress above should be in the next update later today or tomorrow.

Hello, Storage Hunters!

We're working hard to address some bugs that have turned out to be more complex than expected. Our team needs a little more time to fully resolve these issues, and we appreciate your patience.

But we have some other news for you - Storage Hunter Simulator is playable on Steam Deck!

For the best experience, we recommend using mid-to-high settings.

Also please toggle FSR to either Performance or Ultra Performance mode for a smooth experience.

Important: Don’t forget to pick the "Play Settings for Steam Deck" startup option to ensure everything runs smoothly!
