Dev Log #073: 2023-08-18

This week, we will continue adjusting the game mechanics, optimizing artwork and user experience, and fixing bugs. We made a lot of UI improvements to Mobile version - welcome to try it here in Apple Store!

[h2]Main adjustments:[/h2]

To prevent an excessive number of common key cards used by monks, adjustments have been made to “Target Weakness” making it uncommon.



The event where “Lone Wolf” has been added to the initial rewards options for Holy Monk, so you no longer need to worry about early-game issues with the lone wolf build for HolyMonk.



An "Select All" option has been added when choosing to consume items.



[h2]Bug Fixes and other optimizations[/h2]
  • Optimized the map click logic on the mobile version, where a single click allows you to view location details, and double-clicking confirms entering the location.
  • On the mobile version, now holding down enables you to view upgraded card information.
  • Enhanced the mobile version's magic item feature for displaying details with a single click.
  • Optimized the mobile version's shop feature, allowing you to click and view details, including upgraded card versions.
  • Fixed an issue where Faithful Devil obtaining the Rose Gold Crown in Ghost King event.
  • Fixed an issue where even if Swine King failed in the battle against Goddess of Mercy, he couldn't progress even with good status.
  • Fixed an issue where defeating White Lady directly caused the character portrait to disappear.


Dev Log #072: 2023-08-11

This week, we an important update to share with all of you: the release of the new skin for Wukong, originally scheduled for August 29th, may be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances.A member of our extended team are unable to continue her involvement in the production of the remaining content, including the animation for the new Wukong skin. This situation has impacted the progress of the animation work.

We are actively seeking new team members to take over this role, but due to various uncertainties, we cannot guarantee that the production will be completed on time. Throughout this process, we sincerely hope for your understanding and support!

On the other hand, we're excited to announce that the character illustrations for our three new bunny girls are now complete. Let's take a look and see how well they correspond with the current little bunnies in the game!



[h2]Adjustments and Enhancements[/h2]
  • Chain Events Enhancement: We have increased the encounter probabilities for events involving Master of Light and Shadow, The Bikku Kingdom, True and False Goddess of Mercy, and other chain events. These events are now more likely to trigger in both preceding and subsequent stages to complete the stories..
  • Fixed the issue where Holy Monk did not receive virtue points when rescuing the King of the Women's Kingdom.
  • Resolved the problem where NPCs under the effect of "Spirit Pact" could still use the ability when shocked.
  • Players will now receive prompts/notifications when their turn is forcibly ended.
  • Minions that cannot be defeated will no longer trigger the Coward effect.
  • Fixed the problem where the Mirror of Light and Shadow drew additional cards after battles without teammates.
  • “Steady” can now correctly trigger "Painful Shackles."
  • Companion cards will no longer cause vows to fail.
  • During the meditation and sermon skip in the camp, additional confirmation is no longer required.
  • Fixed bugs related to the hidden card selection.

Dev Log #071: 2023-08-04

We are excited to share some great news with everyone: the development of the DLC "A Love Before Time (working title)" is about to begin! This DLC will introduce a brand-new character and an engaging new storyline. We expect it to be released by the end of 2023. [h2]Optimizations and Adjustments[/h2]
  • Added an option in the graphics settings to disable the cloud transitions during night scenes to prevent eye strain from excessive brightness.



  • Fireproof Cassock now grants immunity to burning effects. No more worries about being consumed by the wildfire!



  • Strengthened the effect of the Inner Peace.



  • Added records for the fourth chapter in the travel log.
  • Skip confirmation is no longer required when skipping card selection during battles.
  • Reduced the prices for demon refining in the black market and talent points.
  • Enhanced the effect of the Debris of Buddhism Temple and gives 3 Evil during event choices.
  • Optimized the logic for skin selection, which may revert the previously saved Wukong skin to default.
  • Adjusted the popup height during card selection to avoid blocking the confirm button.
  • In endless mode, prioritized granting Pearl of Aquaman, Bloody Snake Scale, and Chaos Axe to facilitate card retention and upgrades.


[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed the energy consumption issue with the Spirit Shifting.
  • Adjusted the timing of Time Bomb to trigger after discarding cards.
  • Fixed the issue where the Lunar Eclipse effect persisted on the UI until the player's next turn.
  • Resolved the problem in the endless mode where players couldn't obtain the Golden Cage in the event Chrysanthemum temple.

Dev Log #070: 2023-07-28

This week, we will continue to optimize and adjust the game, fixing bugs. Additionally, we are working on optimizing the game's art, and we have already completed a new skin for Wukong! Next, we will keep everyone updated on the progress of the art updates!

[h2]Major Optimizations[/h2]

  • Holy Monk’s Spirit Pact now also gains benefits from trials. This is an epic enhancement to the Holy Monk’s Pokemon build, given the damage increase from endless trial levels will also be inherited.



  • Now damage reflection and debuffs applied by Furnace of Heaven are limited to one round, reducing the difficulty of the final battle.



  • The Fireproof Cassock has been reworked. Now, it will be afflicted with the burning status, but it is immune to burning damage. Beware of the explosive damage from poison + fire.



  • Now the poison from Strangler or Scorpion Venom can’t be removed.



  • The Life Medallion has been reworked. Now, it will grant the whole team a 100 Evil Barrier.




[h2]Other Optimizations:[/h2]
  • Companions' attack cards no longer trigger Swine King’s “No Killing”.
  • Optimized the description of the upgraded Spirit Pact.
  • Some card explanations have been improved.
  • When Enchantment is used, X cards will be ineligible for select.
  • Optimized the explanation of the Iron Axe.


[h2]Bug Fixes:[/h2]
  • Fixed the issue where Bone Pile doesn't disappear in the Omen combat
  • Fixed the problem with Faithful Devil only receiving 2 elements in the endless mode.
  • Fixed the issue where the event option is not disabled when Faithful Devil and Swine King does not have eligible cards in the Duplicator event
  • Fixed the issue where the curse card "Regret" being able to penetrate the Evil Barrier when triggered.
  • Fixed the issue with the UI hiding when selecting cards for the Spirit Shifting, causing the “Select All” button to reappear.
  • Fixed the problem of exceptions occurring when opening detailed information on mobile.

Thank you all for providing various feedback! This week, we have fixed many bugs (and there are more fixes on the way!), have made several adjustments, and further increased the rewards in the endless mode to enhance the overall experience.

[h2]Endless Mode Optimization:[/h2]
  • The maximum HP of enemies in the endless mode will slightly increase with each round.
  • We have added more rewards in the endless mode, including:
    • Up to a maximum of 1000 gold reward.
    • Up to 6 talent points.
    • Up to 3 extra backpack slots.
    • Added an 8 maximum HP reward.
    • Added a permanent strength reward.
    • Added a reward to remove 1 card, up to a maximum of 8.


[h2]Card Optimization[/h2]
  • “Romantic” can now stack. As for the various gameplay possibilities, everyone is encouraged to use their creativity and imagination!



  • "Internal Wound" has been reworked, enhancing the Evil Monk's early offensive capabilities and balancing their strength in the early game.



  • "Counter Strike" has been reworked to provide the Evil Monk with more card cycling options, ensuring better overall flexibility.



  • "Good is Evil" has been changed to AOE skill. Now, you no longer need to worry about the combat withthe 3 Wolves or Skeleton Queens!



  • “Guardian Angel” no longer consumes energy. Spam it! Spam it with all your might!



[h2]Other Optimizations[/h2]
  • Optimized "Persistent Pays Off"’s description, adding a non-stackable note. (It's not a nerf! It was always non-stackable, but it wasn't previously indicated.)



  • Changed "Curse Human Rib" from giving 3 curses to giving 3 evils. Now, when encountering the Skeleton Queen event, you need to consider carefully whether to attack or assist.



  • The avatar information will now display the number of cards drawn.



  • Added a fixed resolution option of 1920x1080 60Hz.
  • Improved the special effects of "Fiery Strike"
  • Optimized the explanation for "Bloody Fight" skill, making it clearer.
  • Enhanced the probabiility for encountering Master of Light and Shadow. After completing the prerequisite events, the Master of Light and Shadow event can now occur on tiles 2-11, 12, and 13.
  • Enhanced the effects of some reflection damage skills, which will now reflect at least the base damage of the opponent's attack.



[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed the issue where the UI goes off-screen when receiving too many endless backpack rewards.
  • Fixed a targeting bug caused by the mouse going off-screen.
  • Fixed the bug with "Versatile" causing Faithful Devil’s cards not to be consumed.
  • Fixed the issue with Dragon Princess learnt upgraded Analogy and losing counts after loading a save
  • Fixed the abnormal behavior when quickly quitting the game.
  • Fixed the counting error when the endless backpack space exceeds the maximum value.
  • Fixed the issue where selling a relic in the shop duplicates the relic on pressing the space key.
  • Fixed the game crash caused by Faithful Devil inner demon summoning a fairy in the combat with Omen.
  • Fixed the display issue when there are too many elements brings by Sacrifice Others.
  • Fixed the problem with cards that consume all energy not being recognized correctly when played from the deck.
  • Fixed the freezing issue when Fat Pig is under the effects of Best Practice and Sound Sleep
  • Fixed the issue with Nirvana icon not disappearing after use.
  • Disabled selecting X cards when using "Space Circle" to avoid accidental selection.
  • Fixed various issues related to the player's card UI temporarily hiding on the battlefield.
  • Fixed the health regeneration prompt for Dragon Princess when leaving a location.
  • Corrected the explanation for Fire Fox‘s’ Self-Detonation.
  • Fixed a bug where the White Dragon's choice of the "kill everyone" option in the Black Water River event did not grant curse cards.
  • Fixed the problem where using multiple spirit power for "Practice to Perfection" only increases damage once.
  • Fixed the issue with Storm of Strikes adding only one attack when used multiple times.
  • Fixed the problem with copied X cards from Spirit Shifting not recognizing energy correctly.
  • Fixed the issue where Jade Emperor can still trigger Above the Nine Heavens when under a restriction effect.
  • Fixed the problem in transmutation with of General of Heaven Tower.
