Undisputed - Multiplayer Beta Test Announcement
Hey fight fans,
We’re excited to tell you that we will be hosting a public beta test for Undisputed in just over a week. This means that some of you will be able to get hands on experience with the game for the first time. Full details on why, what to expect, and how to play below.
Why are we doing this?
The main reason for the test is so that we can test our multiplayer infrastructure and experience. We want to make sure the game plays well online, and that the system scales well with thousands of people online at the same time. It’s also a great opportunity for us to listen to some initial gameplay feedback from the community before we head into early access.
When is the test?
The beta will run for a limited time on Friday the 4th, Saturday the 5th, and Sunday the 6th of November. The beta will be open for 3 hours on each of those days. The beta falls on a summer timezone change for North America and other regions, so pay close attention to the times listed:
November 4th and 5th: 8pm GMT (UK) and 11pm GMT (UK) // between 4pm ET (East Coast USA) and 7pm ET (East Coast USA).
November 6th: 8pm GMT (UK) and 11pm GMT (UK) // between 3pm ET (East Coast USA) and 6pm ET (East Coast USA).
What you need to know
The most important thing to keep in mind is that this is an online beta test, and our first time testing Undisputed at scale. Undisputed is not a finished game. There might be bugs, crashes, lag, or any number of things that might impact the experience and not be representative of the final game .
Because this test is primarily focused on our online multiplayer infrastructure and the core gameplay experience, the build players will have access to for the beta will only include one venue and four boxers.
We’re initially going to open the beta to a small number of people, but assuming all goes well we’ll increase the numbers over the duration of weekend.
The online beta is a public, open beta test. Anyone with a Steam account and a computer that meets the minimum hardware requirements* can sign up for free. Anyone that is able to sign up and play will be able to record and share footage, livestream the beta, and discuss anything they experience.
We’re excited to hear directly from anyone that does get the opportunity to play and we’ve set up a dedicated forum space on Steam(hyperlink) for anyone signed up for the beta so we can speak to you directly and better track your feedback to help make Undisputed the best it can be.
How to sign up
We’re registering sign-ups through Steam itself. Head over to our Steam page and hit the ‘Request Access’ button and you’ll be signed up to play the beta. Steam will send you an email when/if you get given access to the beta, at which point you’ll be able to download the beta build of the game and play, providing it’s within the time blocks we outlined above.
Questions and More Info
We look forward to seeing lots of you get hands-on with Undisputed for the first time and are eager to hear your feedback so you can help us continue our journey and bring boxing back to gaming!
If you have any questions or are looking for some additional information, head over to the thread we’ve set up on Steam here. We’ll aim to reply to any questions as soon as we can.
