Patch Notes V2.14

GUI:

On the minimap, all quests from the journal that have a location are now displayed directly as an icon (the active quest also in a different colour). The marker always points to the middle of the quest area! The arrow in the lower bar of the GUI also remains. When the quest has been completed, the marker on the map disappears. Please note that not all quests need or have location information!

After a long time of thinking about it, I decided to display symbols on the minimap for the NPCs of the game to show their current position. In my opinion, there are many things that speak against this. However, the accessibility for all types of players is greatly improved. So I decided to show the sprites of the NPCs on the minimap. If you scroll further into the map, name tags will also appear under the sprites. I hope that most people are happy about this comfort!

In the course of the story, however, there are also exceptional situations in which this function is partially or even completely deactivated.

In addition, NPCs are only shown where the player has already uncovered the map. So if an NPC is not visible it may well be that he is travelling in an unexplored area.

Patch Notes V2.13

Graphics:
Fixed a bug in NormalTexture that caused many paths to be lit unrealistically.

Game:
When hitting non-destructible rocks or objects with the pickaxe, a sound is now played. This makes it easy to distinguish which rocks are destructible.

How it´s going on..

Hello Community,

What's next for Behind the Horizon?

I've been working on a second add-on DLC for some time now, which will be as extensive as "the desert". In it, the story in the game will reach its climax and thus be completed.

I don't want to reveal much about the story and the end. It will be exciting in any case and I would like to introduce some new features here as well.

Of course, there will also be new areas with new conditions for farming and new underground areas. Everything will be hand-designed as usual and unique with monsters that stay dead when they are dead - most of the time ;-) !

I would also like to add some end-game content.
In this context, I would be interested to know what you would like to see in the game?

Patch Notes V2.12

Game:

The hailstorm in winter now has a greater effect on trees and large plants. Trees are damaged and can also fall down depending on their age and health.

Start map:

Some zones have been slightly changed to still allow access to some caves even with many consecutive floods.

Bug:

The storms Spring Flood and Drought had much stronger effects on the north of the world. This has been fixed. Now floods should have the same impact throughout the world except in the desert.

Notice:

Players who have the rare problem that they cannot reach one of the northern caves due to the spring flood and do not want to wait until a drought in summer solves the problem are welcome to write to me!

Patch Notes V2.11

Game:

The hoe can now also destroy tree seeds. To do this, press the right ALT key while hoeing.

An exception has been added for the shovel for fields of planting and sowing quests, so that you can dig up wrong seeds again and do not necessarily have to destroy them with the hoe.
