Feedback is essential for us to successfully add new features and improve Dorfromantik together with you. Of course, it helps us a lot if you are specifically trying to test features that we have listed up in the Beta Patch Notes for the current update.

Creative Mode
• 🌻 added pipette tool to clone specific tiles from the already placed ones
  
• 🌻 added lock tool to lock the top tile on the stack, which enables you to keep placing the same tile as often as you like

• 🌻 Fixed a reintroduced bug where preplaced tiles are initialized twice, causing big worlds to sometimes not load completely and tile stack counter showing "777"
  
• Fixed creative mode maps not loading due to missing biomes after clearing the game progress

• 🌻 Changed directory creation method to fix AccessViolation which makes it impossible to save games

To celebrate the new Creative Mode update, we have built a new demo that allows all players to test Dorfromantik for free during Gamescom and the following 3 days till Wednesday September 1st. The demo contains the new features such as the Creative Mode from the new 0.2 update and the established Classic Mode. Feel free to have a quick look at the tutorial if you are new to Dorfromantik, as it will quickly guide you through the most important steps. If you enjoy the demo, check out the contests below where you can join to win Steam Keys everyday during Gamescom.




We will be randomly giving away Steam Keys for Dorfromantik every day in Steam Broadcast Chat on the Store page or in our Discord Server. We start giving away Steam keys with the release of this news today till Sunday at 22:00 CEST.



Everyone who is playing the free demo of Dorfromantik can participate in the community contests, that take place every day during Gamescom. We have come up with two different type of contests so there is something for everyone:
[h2]Score Attack Contest[/h2]

• goal: Achieve the highest highscore in the demo while playing the Classic Mode of Dorfromantik limited to 75 tiles.
  
• participation: Play the demo of Dorfromantik for free and take a beautiful screenshot of your world at the end of your Classic Mode session when the highscore is displayed. If you want to join via Steam Community Hub: like this announcement and post a link to your screenshot with the highscore visible as answer to the discussion thread for this announcement. Alternatively, you can like and quote-retweet this tweet with your screenshot as reply.
  
• winner: The highest valid highscore will receive a Steam Key for Dorfromantik.
  
• time span: Winner will be picked daily starting from Wednesday 25.08 till Monday 30.08 at 12:00 CEST. The submission deadline is 12:00 CEST for everyday in that time span, otherwise it counts towards the next day, if there is one more.
  

[h2]Creative Contest[/h2]

• goal: Build a adorable charming little world in the demo while playing the Creative Mode of Dorfromantik limited to 75 tiles.
  
• participation: Play the demo of Dorfromantik for free and take a beautiful screenshot of your world at the end of your Creative Mode session. If you want to join via Steam Community Hub: like this announcement and post a link to your screenshot as answer in to the discussion thread for this announcement. Alternatively, you can like and quote-retweet this tweet with your screenshot as reply.
  
• winner: We vote as a team and select a participant each day.
  
• time span: Winner will be picked daily starting from Wednesday 25.08 till Monday 30.08 at 12:00 CEST. The submission deadline is 12:00 CEST for everyday in that time span, otherwise it counts towards the next day, if there is one more.
