We’re asking all of you to cast your votes and help us to get ROBOBEAT nominated for the Steam Awards 2024![/h3]



You’re probably wondering, how does all of this work?

You’re free to choose to nominate ROBOBEAT for any of the categories in the Steam Awards, but we’d really appreciate it if you could nominate us for the Best Soundtrack category!

The Best Soundtrack category is for those games that deserve to be recognised for their outstanding musical score. In a nutshell, they’ve got the OST with the MOST!

So why do we think ROBOBEAT belongs in this category?

At its core, ROBOBEAT is all about shooting in sync with the rhythm, so music is at the very heart of the game. While you can add your own music into the game using the Custom Music editor, we spent a long time cherry-picking some incredible artists and carefully crafting the game’s soundtrack so that players could have an exceptional experience with or without the custom music feature.

Our soundtrack is made up of a sonic smorgasbord of styles, from glitch hop to electro swing. Seven incredibly talented artists contributed to it and all of them deserve special mention here. In order of how they are credited on the official OST, here they are along with the tracks they wrote for ROBOBEAT:

• Thomas Vent - Razor’s Edge, Outlaw Override, and Swing Express.
  
• Sobrem - High Voltage, Circuit Breaker, and Baneslinger.
  
• nozze - Zombies, Back to Basics, Demented Wrath, McDuck is Now a Bird, Boss Battle, and Jack Black (Bonus).
  
• Dark Twin Productions - Devil’s Disco, Riff Shocker, Groove Riot!, Bassline Blitz, Mechanical Pharaohs, The Duel, The Return, Zany Zone, Slow Down Buddy, and Peripatetic.
  
• smultron - ROBOBEAT Menu Theme, The Drop, The Introduction, Adrenaline, The Great Battle for 2024 Begins, This Swamp is Overrun By Broken Robots, and Galactic Love Interest.
  
• Dav Dralleon - Undeadline.
  
• Hunter J Pierce - The Passage, Disco Fever, Data Corruption, and Infected Concept.

ROBOBEAT is a roguelite rhythm shooter where you take on the role of robo-gunslinger Ace as he hunts down the chaotic showman Frazzer. Wall run, slide, and bunny hop your way through Frazzer’s ever-shifting lair, and shoot in sync to the music to maximize your damage. Uncover new cassettes to use as you play, or march to the beat of your own drum by uploading your tracks using the custom music feature and playing with the songs you love!

If you’re lucky enough, you may even be able to find one of the 3 secret rooms hidden within the game. In these themed rooms, you’ll find cassettes from the soundtracks of BPM: Bullets Per Minute, ULTRAKILL, and DUSK.

Voting for the Golden Joystick Awards has officially opened and we couldn’t be happier to be part of it!

To cast your vote, all you have to do is follow the link here and then click the big orange “Start Voting” button! We’d recommend reading the article first to find out a bit more about the Golden Joystick Awards and which categories there are before casting your all important vote. Voting closes at 19:00 ET (16:00 PT, 23:00 GMT) on Friday November 1st, so make sure you have your say before then!

Once you’ve cast your votes, all you need to do is wait with bated breath for the big awards ceremony. The ceremony will be hosted at the De Vere Connaught Rooms in London on November 21st, but you can also watch them live online on the official Golden Joystick Awards Twitch channel.

• Blips now drop more frequently, with each path offering more drops than the previous one.
  
• Rebalanced enemy health in later levels.
