New Patch is here 1.2.K_223 !

Hey guys!

We are working hard on the next major patch with undergrounds and hard mode, meanwhile, we have prepared smaller quality of life upgrades for you! We hope you will like them. As always, keep your feedback coming so we know what we can add in future to improve your gaming time ;)

[h3]Achievements update:[/h3]
Steam achievements are here! Now all the in-game achievements will be connected to Steam, so you’ll be able to track your game completion from the app level and be able to show off to your friends.



[h3]Inventory sorting added:[/h3]
You asked for it and we did it - we have added the inventory sorting, so now you’ll be able to quickly arrange your items with a single click!



[h3]Game Controls Tooltips & more:[/h3]
From now on all interactions have visual hints saying what to press and what effect different buttons have in the game world.
[UPDATE - we will make an option to hide them next week]



[h3]Added buildings rotation:[/h3]
Building rotation is no longer restricted to 90 degrees! Press or hold E/R to adjust building position as you please!



[h3]Added farmer shop near Harold on Village zone:[/h3]
You can now instantly enter Harold’s shop without the need for having a conversation with him (unification with other shops)



[h3]Added recipe for crafting station and for decorations crafting station[/h3]
You asked us to add the possibility to have crafting stations in other locations then next to the Ellen’s house. Now you can get the recipes and build them wherever you want!




[h3]Fenugreek & Algae cannot be destroyed[/h3]
Fail safe mechanism that makes both items kept safe for finishing the quests they’re needed for

The Dog does not collide with the player anymore

New Patch 1.1.K_214 and WIP's on upcoming patches!

Today we have another smaller patch with fixes while we are working on next major fixes and patches.
Thank you for your support and all your feedback, please keep it coming! We are gathering now as much information as we can to make sure that we will introduce all the necessary changes to the game.

What is coming up next?


[h3]Steam Achievements:[/h3]
Steam Achievement should go live in next few weeks as we are finishing the art, conditioning and implementation. They will be closely connected to in-game achievements and stamps and you can already check out some achievements art below:



[h3]Official gamepad support and optional tooltips for pc:[/h3]
We are finishing testing of gamepad and tooltips implementation and we are translating them now to all available languages. There is no strict deadline for those but they should go live in next few weeks as well.



[h3]Hard Mode:[/h3]
Hard Mode is hard in development and we hope that it will be a great addition for all demanding players. We have created a new dedicated post where you can discuss your expectations. Based on your feedback we will prepare a dedicated questionnaire to make sure we know exactly what you need. Please join our discussion here and let us know how would you like to see our new hard mode?
Should it be same as adventure but with more expensive economy? Should we add stamina / hunger? Should we add durability and repair mechanics to our tools? Make fighting harder and add more enemies? Add penalties to death? Please let us know!

[h3]Undergrounds[/h3]
Undergrounds are nearly done and will go live in around a month. For Creative and Adventure mode they will include detailed maps, for hard mode they will bring more challenge and you will have to navigate through them on your own. We are very excited to bring them back and we hope you will enjoy them too!

We are also working on new game assets that will be used as new in game rewards and that will help you to better customize your farm and your home.

[h3]Fishing Patch:[/h3]
Our art team has also started working on fishing patch and it already starts to look very exciting. We will have new fishing mechanics, new zone with few quests, lots of new fishes and rewards and new fisherman npc! We will be sharing a lot more details in upcoming updates about how this patch will work but for now we will stick to the visual aspects.

We have launched a few hotfixes in last few days. You can find a summary below.
We are working on all the necessary fixes right now but it takes some time. We thank you for your patience!
The biggest problem at the moment is that its very hard to replicate some of your issues and find the source of problem. We will launch few separate discussions this week with questionnaires to make sure exactly what's wrong and learn how we can fix it. You will get a separate update on that in few days!

  • Added - city boat indicator on desert
  • Jam can be made from more types of fruit
  • Fixed - incorrect behavior after save deletion
  • Resize vacuum and drill collider
  • Fixed intro issue (game blocked when no video codec found)

[h3]What's next?[/h3]
Once we gather your exact feedback on current problems we will keep on working on fixing them all. Please note that it may take few more weeks to get it sorted but we will get there!

We are now finishing full controller support and it will go to beta testing next week.

We are also working hard on undergrounds and we just started designing hardmode. You can expect another questionnaire next week with questions on hardmode so we can gather your feedback and bring you exactly what you need!

We also have many smaller quality of life upgrades planned and we will be adding them in upcoming patches. Stay tuned for more info!

Quick hot fix!

Hey guys!

Thank you so much for your kind words and all of your feedback! We managed to already fix some issue and we are now working on next Mondays patch.

Here is a list of today's fixes:

  • Graphics Performance mode is now set by default for new players- its visually very similar to high mode but its much better for lower speces - you can change it in options.
  • Fixed low texture resolutions in performance mode - now maps look good in performance mode.
  • Fixed camera rotation speed - which was a main cause of "bad controls" feedback and probably the main reason behind motion sickness to some players - now it's out of the way :)
  • Cute furniture should no longer disappear
  • Some saves (done during food buffs) couldn’t load - its now fixed
  • Fixed infinite buffs

Full Release is here! Our journey just started!

Full Release version is LIVE!!!!!


Wow, this was a wild ride. We have been working on this game for over 2 years now, and for more than a year we have been listening to your feedback and improving it in Early Access to make it ready for full Release. While we had ups and downs, our whole team gave our very best. We were working very hard to create No Place Like Home and implement our visiontogether with your amazing feedback.

We have upgraded almost every aspect of the game, added tons of new features and fixed even more problems and bugs. Today we bring you the product of our efforts and we hope that you will not be disappointed!

And today is the day as we are launching the game out of Early Access into Full Releae! If you enjoyed this journey with us, please help us spread the word about No Place Like Home out there. Leaving a review or posting a comment will mean really a lot to us!
