Ver. 1.3.12, BUG fixed and optimizations

  • Wake effect of trait "Negative and Indolent" is fixed.
  • A bug of adding trait to the wrong object in the temple.
  • An empty return while deleting weapons.
  • The problem of abnormal attacking times with Nunchakus.
  • Wrong buff trigger location while effect resulting.
  • Character errors while checking.
  • Mixed issue between demo edition and EA edition.
  • Overlap problem of resouces while back to the temple.
  • The determination of mental exhaustion.
  • Wrong logic while interacting with Walker.
  • Wrong logic about Wiseman.
  • The problem about adult Anan's weapons and equipment will get an extra copy in the All-in-One scenario.


[h3]Optimizations[/h3]
  • Infected maids description now can be viewed properly.
  • Some translation is added.
  • Add a hint when returning to the Temple.
  • Optimize the multi-language display of traits and interlude.
  • Creating a new character will not cost anything, and because of this, Deleting a character will not get Space-time points back. Mental Solidification state is removed now (That means if your SP lowers to 0, you are still "Exhausted" now)
  • Add two ways to use splints and bandages, regular use without check, medical use can get better results.
  • Lower the difficulty of battle with rats and greedy in the All-in-One.
  • Increase some skill value of the adult Anan.
  • You can find splint in Anan's Dorm room now.

Introductions about some big problems we meet now

We have received a lot of BUG feedback and suggestions for optimization from our players. We're doing our best to solving all these problems. But we have to prioritise the bugs, softlocks and exceptions. Due to the limited manpower, it will take some time for some of the bugs to be fixed before they updated. So in order to avoid those troubles, we will explain the major issues that we have received a lot of feedback on:

[h3]0. We will close the cloud save feature temporarily.[/h3]
We found the reason that some players' Screen Blackout problem is the corruption of our savedata files. When the files were uploading to the cloud, and the data is lost after re-syncing.
So we decide to close this function for now until we have fixed the upload compatible.
You will need to bring your saving files if you want to log in some other place.

[h3]1. The character's data are the previous character's data when entering the module with a newly created character.[/h3]
You need to re-enter game, and then re-choose the character to solve this bug for now.


[h3]2. The screen are black when I choose re-battle after being defeated.[/h3]
We have added some precautions at this time, but we're still not sure that we have fully fixed the issue. So if you encounter this problem, please click the [Space-Time Backtracking] button to enter the battle again.

[h3]3. If you cannot move when you came back to the Space-time Temple and several models appeared.[/h3]
Now you can click the button 'Reset the Mainlobby' which can be found in settings to clean the wrong data.
We're trying our best to find its reason and fix it.


[h3]4. After entering the prologue module(All-in-One and One-in-All), the character keeps going to the top left and cannot be controlled[/h3]
You can click the button 'Restart the scenario', which can be found in settings, to clean wrong data.
We're trying our best to find its reason and fix it.


[h3]5. The effect of buffs which equipped in the previous module such as mythical items are not successfully cleared after scenario settled.[/h3]
You need to create a new character and then inherit this scenario's record to clean the wrong datas.
We will remove the Space-time points consumption for character creation in the next update.


[h3]6. We are trying our best to fix the bug that your character's ability doesn't change in the Interlude.[/h3]


[h3]7. If you meet a softlock which appears when you're loading and cannot enter the game.[/h3]
We need to collect wrong data because maybe there're different reasons in different computers.
So if you have met this problem, please change your game to the beta version.
Right click→ Properties→ BETAS→ enter 'rgjt2022test'→ check code→ choose test version.
Then send the Error messages to us. (In our Discord, you can send the messages in the channel #bug-report or DM Admins.


[h3]8. If your FPS is lagged and the character's move speed is very low.[/h3]
Please DM the Admins in our Discord.
Very appreciate, we're trying our best to solving it.


[h3]9. The last time you quit the game due to an exception and re-entered, if the game goes to black after the logo appeared.[/h3]
Please copy \AppData\LocalLow\MeowNature\Depersonalization-Release to your 'My computer' address screen. Then delete the SteamSaveRecord file and the TempRecord file.


[h3]10. If you met the problem that your computer has a Screen Blackout, a Blue Screen of Death and reboot.[/h3]
You can change your game to the window mode and try again.

Ver 1.3.11 Updates, BUG fixed, optimizations and a new feature

Hello investigators, here's our second update. We're keeping on fixing bugs, making optimizations and new features.


[h3]BUG FIX[/h3]
  • Multiple duplicate Mythos items while entering new scenario
  • A problem caused by switch scenes between study room and hallway (in All-in-one)
  • A stuck question about residual conversation events while quitting store
  • A bug caused by lack of SP and cannot unlock options (But be care of lower SP, if investigator's SP is lowering to 0, after current scenario you cannot use this investigator again)
  • A problem about loading archives after investigator's consciousness is decomposed.
  • Some errors are fixed, hope to deal with the black screen problem to restart the battle


[h3]Optimizations[/h3]

  • A number of story triggers, misspellings are fixed.


[h3]New Features[/h3]

  • [Reset data of the Space-Time Temple] button is added, you can find button in the settings interface. It can avoid the game from getting stuck while in abnormal situations.

Hello everyone! We've saw all your suggestions and feedbacks, we are very appreciate! We're trying our best to fix it, so please give us a little more patience.

Depersonalization is available now! Investigator, time to roll the dice

Hello investigaters! After such a looooong time wait. Depersonalization is released in Early Access now!
Wish you have fun in our game!

btw, the launch-discount will end on Jan. 5th, same as the last day of Winter Sale.

And about our subsequent updates plan, we'd like to share with you.

  • [h3]Q: how long will this game be in Early Access?​[/h3]
    A: We plan to keep the game in Early Access for about a year. We prepare the entire year as the development time for the official version. So in our plan, our game will launch in the end of 2023.
    But there’s something we need to say. We’re ambitious to keeping updating this game. So we will keep adding new contents after launching.


  • [h3]Q: How many modules will there be in the official version?​[/h3]
    A: After launching, our focus will turn into editor’s development, but we’ll still be reaching out to some best creators in the community to develop some custom modules.
    At our speed of development, a module always takes 2 months to create regardless of testing time, so we plan to add no more than 3 new modules at most.
    So in a short conclusion, with the number of modules in the EA version, the final official version will have 7 modules + a combat module.​


  • [h3]Q: What else can we get before the official version?​[/h3]
    A:​
    1. We plan to update a new combat module with some rogue elements in the second quarter of 2023.
    Because the contents of the story module will be consumed too quickly, we have an plan for a rogue combat module a long time ago. So we will prepare a combat module specifically for investigators (Afogomorn wants to overthrow the tyranny of Tavel, so start collecting space-time points with Anan~).

    2. Maybe the Text Module will launch sooner than others.
    If there are no problems with our team's development plan, the Workshop content will gradually be available for testing. We will start with the simplest features of editing such as text module.
    We’re sure there are many great content creators in the community, so if we can, we'll host some events about essay competitions and we’re very glad to see your stories!


  • [h3]Q: When will the Workshop available?​[/h3]
    A:​
    This is a staged and ongoing process. We have set ourselves the goal of developing the in-game editor function within 2023, which will lower the creative barrier and allow creators in the COC community to get a better start.
    It is worth stating that while the current contents has considered the difficulty of getting started with editor. However, as for the art assets, it requires us to be able to build a complete library of materials, which is a major hurdle for us in the future.​


  • [h3]Q: When will the AI for Yog-Sothoth be ready?​[/h3]
    A:​
    When it comes to this question, actually we’re also very anxious. We have researched and tried many mature AI on the market, such as Google, Microsoft, Tencent, Baidu, Ali and iflytek, as well as many open source chat AI.
    The price of a good commercial project is currently beyond our reach, and the main problem with open source AI is still the uncontrollable contents. After all, there was a very intelligent AI that led to the entire development team being implicated because it was imbued with anti-human text content (all AI learning-enabled chatbots basically need to be able to filter this information).
    We also made many research about ChanGPT. But we need to build our own server if we want all domestic and international players to use it. But all of us don’t have the knowledge about server as well as a R&D bill to keep the server running, or enough people to learn and handle this piece of work.​
