HudSight - crosshair overlay News

Hello, everybody!

Today we've got a lots of reports about problems with activation with error message «cannot get steam id».

We supposed that this problem is on Steam side, but we tried to fix it on our side. And we did this.
Right before releasing a new version, Steam did rollback for their server rules and authentication now works without any updates.

Let's exhale :)

Changes in this release:

• Fixed bug downloading crosshairs from Steam workshop using their readable names (titles) and not file names
  
• Fixed incorrect centering of activation window
  
• Fixed bug not saving configuration changes before Windows restart if application is running
  
• Fixed bug not clearing switch crosshair hotkey
  

Fixed an issue with software freezing and demo message for some users after the latest update #6950.

Some computers are experiencing issues with license verification in the Steam version, and this is not related to a specific build of the program. We are investigating what the problem is.

What to do if the update didn’t help?

If you see a trial version notification when starting HudSight, try restarting your PC or just Steam, and launch the program from the Steam library using the green button. A white activation window should appear in the upper left corner, and the program should start after it finishes.

If that didn’t help, perform a clean installation by deleting the program along with the settings from C:\ProgramData\HudSight 2 and restart your PC. Then install the latest version 6952.

Important information!

In this version 6950 digital code signature has been updated and EAC (Easy Anti-Cheat) has not yet added it to its whitelist, so all games which use this Easy Anti-Cheat will not display (temporarily) overlay if you select «Default (hooks)» as the method of drawing crosshairs in the «Common» tab.
So use our new «Real Overlay» or «Microsoft Xbox Game Bar» in such cases, or use the previous version 6910 on the beta channel «oldsign - old digital signature». To do this open the HudSight properties - «Betas» and select this branch from the drop-down list.

Hello everyone!
We've added a new crosshair overlay rendering technique Real Overlay which is similar to Xbox game bar widgets but it doesn't require any additional installations of widgets. The only one additional requirement is administrator rights.

Currently this overlay is tested only on single monitor systems. Multi-monitor update is coming soon.
