Main game branch hotfix

Hey folks

I've caused a critical bug with the previous build upload. This has been fixed.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Map Editor BETA 16

Hey folks!

This update adds the ability to name NPCs within the map editor, in order to not have to tinker with the level config file.

BETA 16:
- added the ability to setup enemy names in the map editor
- replaced more placeholder icons with proper ones
- turkish and russian map editor text localization update

As a reminder, you can opt into the 'mapeditor' branch at any time. It is currently in the BETA test phase, so expect issues. If you wanted to try your hand at making maps - now would be a good time, as you would not only make your own content, but also help with reporting bugs and giving feedback.

500 Steam reviews!

Hey everyone!

Today marks an important point in the release of Intravenous: we've just hit 500 Steam reviews! It's not much, but to me personally it is a big milestone, especially considering that my first game, Game Dev Studio, doesn't have that many reviews after being released for three and a half years.
Granted, it was my first game, so there were many things I got wrong or overlooked. I've learned from my mistakes, and as result Intravenous released with far fewer issues.

Intravenous is a stealth/action game that I've always wanted to play: difficult stealth and hardcore, lethal & tense combat that forces you to think fast and remain mobile to stay alive.

I would like to thank everyone who has contributed in some way to the game, be it bug reports, feature suggestions, testing the upcoming Map Editor update, or just something as simple as leaving a review. You might be surprised to hear this, but positive reviews help a lot!

I'm super happy to see such reception, and am glad to see that so many of you guys have enjoyed the game.
I've said this in other places before, and I'll say it again: nothing beats seeing a positive review with 20, 30, 40, or more hours on record. When I see someone who has enjoyed the game to that extent, and got that much hours of playtime out of it, I know I've done a good job with the game.

Demo version

I would also like to mention that, in case some of you may have missed it, the game now has a demo version. If you, or your friends, wanted to give the game a try - now's a great time! The demo version features the prologue and the first two gameplay levels, to let people get a feel for what the game is all about.

Upcoming Map Editor update

You might've noticed the frequent updates to the Map Editor branch, well I have some good news: I'm getting close to finishing the update and releasing the Map Editor!
As a reminder, you can opt into the 'mapeditor' branch at any time. It is currently in the BETA test phase, so expect issues. If you wanted to try your hand at making maps - now would be a good time, as you would not only make your own content, but also help with reporting bugs and giving feedback.

Thank you so much, everyone. You guys rock.

Map Editor BETA 15

Hey folks!

This update fixes a couple of issues and further prepares the map editor for it's release.

BETA 15:
- portuguese, spanish, and turkish localization updates
- doors now use a bit less memory
- hiding the debug cursor map editor text
- fixed some issues related to the AI combat state and them having no weapons
- fixed doors restoring their old position when placing them and then moving by hand when testing in the map editor

As a reminder, you can opt into the 'mapeditor' branch at any time. It is currently in the BETA test phase, so expect issues. If you wanted to try your hand at making maps - now would be a good time, as you would not only make your own content, but also help with reporting bugs and giving feedback.

Intravenous Demo version is back!

Hey everyone!

The demo version for 'Intravenous' is now available once again! Instead of taking place in the middle of the game like the previous demo, it instead features the prologue and the first 2 gameplay levels.

Some of you might be wondering: why wasn't the demo available before? The answer is simple: not enough time.
I'm the only person working on the game, so I have to prioritize what I work on. Ensuring a stable game launch took priority, as fixing bugs present in the full game meant I'd need to also update the demo version, and that takes precious time out of my schedule.

So now, when the game's launch has been stabilized, and the Map Editor update is nearing completion, I thought is a good time to bring back the demo version, for those who wanted to try the game to see what it's all about.

If you have a friend who wanted to try the game but was unsure, or whether you're one of those hesitant folks - feel free to try the demo, you can play it as much as you want!
