Sign ups are open for our Closed Multiplayer Beta Test!

We're excited to announce that we'll be running a Closed Multiplayer Beta starting on Thursday, November 7 to Thursday, November 21, 2024!

There are limited slots available for this test, so be sure to sign up early to secure your spot. In the coming weeks, we will email those who have been selected for the test to confirm their entry and provide further instructions ahead of the November 7 start date.

[h3]The Closed Multiplayer Beta will include:[/h3]
  • Online Multiplayer mode - This mode will include Ranked matchmaking (public rank shown in the leaderboard) and Unranked matchmaking (casual, does not affect ranking) options for multiplayer.
  • AI Skirmish mode - For this test, you'll be able to play on your own against bots in skirmish matches. In the full release, you will be able to create online custom matches with your friends that also include bots. Bot difficulty can be set to Easy, Medium, or Hard.
  • 2 Factions - Players will have both the Global Defense Force (GDF) and the Tempest Dynasty (DYN) factions available to play in Multiplayer or Skirmish modes.
  • 3 Maps - The included maps are Alps (2v2), Overgrown Oasis (1v1), and Altitude (1v1).




Tempest Rising will be at DreamHack Atlanta from Oct. 4-6!

Hey everyone, the latest Tempest Rising demo featured in TactiCon 2024 was a great success!

Over 29,000 players downloaded the demo and nearly 4,000 players filled in our feedback survey. The team was ecstatic seeing everyone playing and enjoying the game, and we received loads of valuable feedback during the demo period that will be using to improve the game during development!

Also, our Lead Game Designer on Tempest Rising, Brandon Casteel, joined a panel during TactiCon and discussed the history and resurgence of the RTS genre. He was joined by other RTS developers working on Rogue Command, Dune Spice Wars, and CHAOTIC ERA.

Try out Command and Conquer successor Tempest Rising with new demo

While strategy fans have plenty of great options this year, from the upcoming Frostpunk 2 and Total War: Pharaoh Dynasty update to the already launched Homeworld 3 and Manor Lords, one game we've been watching with interest is Tempest Rising. Created in the spirit of the classic Command and Conquer series, Tempest Rising seems like the natural successor to a style of RTS that's laid dormant for far too long.
