Community Spotlight: November 2023

November may have been chilly, but War Robots: Frontiers was on fire. Check out what happened in November and what’s to come in December!
Developer Q&A (November 24)
Creative Director Zukata and Executive Producer Nausicaa answered your questions on November 24, and it was a lot of fun! Thanks to everyone who came and played, and for all the suggestions and feedback. We look forward to the next Q&A in the new year.
Community Content
We love seeing how creative our Pilots are, and we want to shine a light on some of the best from November! Green Man behind the walls blew us away with their first post on Discord and this awesome Ravana artwork. We look forward to seeing more!
Development Insights
We regularly share some of the concepts and tweaks we are working on via our Discord to give

players a sneak peek into the development process. Here are a few of the things we shared in November:
Improved Robot Animations
We are continually improving our Robots’ walking, running, and landing animations. When accelerating and braking, Robots lean forward or backward, and when turning, they can tilt accordingly.
Ravana Wallpaper
We couldn't help but share this stunning art featuring Ravana. Feel free to use it for your content or wallpapers!
Introducing the Updated Mont
Before the Autumn update, we shared a walkaround of the new Mont Map, showing off the main changes, its icy landscape, increased destructibility, and an overall improved sense of scale.
Robot Colour Schemes
We noticed a few comments on Ravana’s color scheme and wanted to share our take on the original. Let us know if you would like to see more unique color schemes on future Robots or if you’d prefer we retain more of the original design.

Hotfix 0.13.0 Patch Notes (November 24, 2023)

These patch notes detail changes for the War Robots: Frontiers build available after maintenance on November 24, 2023.
ECONOMY CHANGES
We are making Alloys more readily available to players at all levels. We are also redistributing Alloy income between scrapping them from items and purchasing them directly in Shop so both sources provide roughly the same amount of currency:
 • Scrapping an item now yields 80% of the initial item cost in Alloys (instead of 30%).
 • Account progression rewards now include Alloys at levels 7, 8, 9, 11, 13, 15, and 17.
 • Cell 6 in Daily Deal will now only contain Alloys. Some bundles from Cell 6 will now contain fewer Alloys at the same price (75k → 50k for 625 Credits, and 150k → 125k for 1,250 Credits).

As a result, the total amount of Alloys will increase, while daily and weekly contracts will remain the main source of Credit income.
BALANCE CHANGES
• Increased reload time on Vortex (8.5 seconds at maximum level).
 • Added energy shields to Titans.
BUGS FIXED
• Fenrir (Torso): The Unchained Ability now correctly deducts 20% durability from all Robot Parts when activated and proceeds to restore durability equal to 100% of the damage dealt. The restored durability is distributed evenly among all Robot Parts. If all parts are fully repaired, the Ability will charge the Robot’s energy shield instead.
 • Fenrir (Torso): Resolved incorrect walking animations on Fenrir when gaining speed while the Unchained Ability is active.
 • Ares (Torso): Resolved Retribution shield displaying incorrectly when looking from a distance.
 • Resolved issue where certain areas on various Robot chassis would not take any damage.
 • Resolved Vortex seizing fire when using Instant Reload.
 • Resolved the issue that prevented Pilots from being selected repeatedly in the Inventory.
 • Resolved issues where Robot Parts and Ability Modules would not be selected with the first click in the Inventory and Constructor menus.
 • Resolved incorrect announcements for Titan charge in Elimination and Team Deathmatch Modes.
 • Resolved visual issues on Alpha’s main weapon when heavily damaged.
 • Resolved an issue that prevented randomly-generated build names from being saved in presets.
 • Resolved Supply Line promotion displaying incorrectly after a match.
 • Resolved an issue that prevented quitting matchmaking by pressing ESC.
 • Resolved an issue that allowed the camera to move outside the map.
 • Resolved Speed Boost affecting Robot movement speed incorrectly.
 • Resolved various localization issues.
OTHER IMPROVEMENTS
• Improved stability of the game client.
 • Added Ability descriptions to Grim’s F1 tooltip.
 • Added voice prompts to Robots’ energy shield capacity levels and durability status.
 • Added confirmation for resetting Pilot Skills.
 • Autodetect Setting will now turn on Upscaling (DLSS, FSR 2) if no other Upscaling settings were previously saved and if the player’s screen resolution is 1920×1080p or higher.
 • Updated the weapon icon on Alpha.
