Settlement Survival gets a release date!

Hey everyone!

Firstly, we want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has supported our small team by downloading and playing the Settlement Survival demo. Your feedback, suggestions, and bug reports have been invaluable. Many reactions were very positive and encouraging, and we've already improved the Early Access version immensely as a result.

We are working hard to get the game ready for release. Speaking of which, we have some exciting news for you... Settlement Survival will be launching into Early Access on Monday 11th October 2021!

That means Settlement Survival will arrive in just 5 days! Not too long to wait now, is it?

We've also decided that the base game price for Early Access will be $14.99. We value our game and we want many people to enjoy it with us!

Settlement Survival Is Set For The Next Fest

Hey everyone!

We're incredibly pleased to announce that Settlement Survival is not only heading to the Next Fest later this week, but that it's demo is available now. We're pleased to say that the demo version contains a great detail of content, but there are some upper limits:

We've limited the map size to small, though this is absolutely plenty for creating an exciting, bustling settlement. We've also kept the difficulty limited to "easy" - make no mistake, Settlement Survival can be incredibly challenging - we don't want to frighten players off.

Lastly, populations are restricted to 100 people only (so things don't get too out of control) and our Sandbox mode is closed.

We may review all this, depending on your feedback, but for now we think this will give you a wonderful starting point.

Banished-style Settlement Survival is a city builder you can try during Steam Next Fest

City-building games set in the present day tend to take it for granted that citizens will be able to feed themselves and find shelter during the cold seasons. That's not the case in Settlement Survival, a colony management game that blends city-building with the survival game genre. It has a demo coming out as part of Steam's Next Fest, so you'll be able to try it out ahead of its Early Access launch next month.

Settlement Survival has a friendly and colourful low-poly art style that could lull you into thinking it's a placid experience, but developer Gleamer Studios warns that it'll present a stiff challenge. You'll act as the leader of a group of plucky survivors who have been cast out into the wilderness to start a new community. You'll have to quickly decide where to find the necessities like food and water, and source raw materials like wood and stone in order to build shelters and gathering facilities.

Gleamer specifically cites Banished as an influence, so there's not going to be any free lunch in Settlement Survival. Your farms will need to produce food according to the cycle of seasons, so you'll need to plan carefully to make sure you're growing enough of the right crops to see you through the winter.
