Battlefield heading to a modern day setting after Battlefield 2042
Similar to Call of Duty, the Battlefield series has a history of hopping around time periods. Originally set during World War 2, it's since been as far back as the first World War and as far ahead as 2142. With a slightly futuristic entry in the bag thanks to Battlefield 2042, fans have been wondering where the long running FPS series will head next. Thanks to an interview with Respawn head Vince Zampella, we know that Battlefield is coming back to the modern day.
