Join the final week of Battle of Nordvik. This is The Liberation of Nordvik.

The Nordvik Control Corps receives help from US reinforcements and stages a larger counter-offensive. Black Storm and Eastern Forces mount a fierce defense as the Nordvik Control Corps leads the assault to liberate Nordvik from its occupiers.



This is the final battle where full-on Breakthrough Chaos will decide the conflict. This week, gameplay is scaled up to new intensity and supports up to 128* players as you give it your all. Fight your way across the battlefield as a tight unit with modifiers such as increased movement speed, faster redeploy times, and faster vehicle call-ins.

With 2022 coming to a close, we sat down to recap what’s happening towards the end of December, and what’s upcoming in the new year.

Starting on December 20 until January 10, we are excited to see you jump into the new Battle for Nordvik Event. There will be new cosmetics to earn and grab as the battle unfolds and you’ll play through 3 unique experiences over a total of 3 weeks.

If you haven’t had a chance to play yet and you want to check out the Battle for Nordvik, or maybe you’d like to invite a friend to join you, then you can still download and play free on PlayStation until December 23, 16:00 UTC.

First up in the New Year is our next major game update which brings an improved Breakaway as the latest map rework, alongside the reintroduction of Classes to Battlefield 2042, and some updates to our vehicles. This update is a major moment for the team as we’ve listened to your feedback, and we’ll be back with more details later in January.

We’ve recently also given you a brief glimpse of what to expect for Season 4, and Season 5. Once we're back in 2023 and our next major game update has been released, we'll check-in with more details as we’ll turn all attention towards Season 4.

And lastly before the year is over, we want to take a moment to reflect and give a heartfelt thank you. To all of you. It’s been more than a year since launch, and we’re well into the release of our third Season. We’re here today because of all of you. The team truly appreciates your continued support and feedback, and we’re excited to now look forward as we move into the New Year together.
