Howdy, diggers! The demo is now available on Steam. Please read below to understand what to expect from the game build.

[h3]Demo content[/h3]

For the first public testing of the game we wanted to focus on the basics:

• 3 mining tools: a pickaxe, a dynamite and a scanner
  
• A revolver
  
• The first biome (random generated levels based on rooms)
  
• A couple of nasty creatures...
  

[h3]The state of the game[/h3]

So we've been developing the game for about 6 months or so. We've come far but it's still a work in progress. What you will be able to play this week, is a demo build for the Early Access version which will be released in Q3. It is likely you will encounter bugs, especially you who are going to play multiplayer.

The more you report the bugs and provide feedback on the game, the more it will help us developing the game further into something great.

[h3]How to report bugs[/h3]

You can report bugs directly in-game by opening the options and navigating to "Report". You can also leave general feedback there if you want to.

The usual channels on Steam community forums and our discord server will also work great. We'll be reading them all!

Hey! We're going to be broadcasting a pre-recorded stream all through the week. In the broadcasts, three different groups from the Cave Digger 2 team will be playing the game and talking about it from their perspectives. You'll get to learn about the development, world building and marketing of the game. We will also be answering questions submitted by our hard-digging community.

Note that the demo is a very early version of the game, so there will be bugs! And we hope to find many more with your help.

While we don't have anyone 24/7 in the chat, we'll have someone answering there too from time to time. For a better conversation platform, we suggest you to join our discord channel which is a growing community of Diggers since the release of the first Cave Digger game.

CD2: Dig harder will be available for testing during the Steam Next Fest week, starting on June 16th. We're going to have a developer broadcast looping on the store page throughout that whole week.

I thought this broadcast would be a great opportunity to answer some questions you all might have about the game, and maybe even demonstrate some answers in game. So if you have any questions or thoughts about the game, you can submit them here

We might not be able to answer to every single question coming, but we'll do our best when choosing them. You're free to send multiple questions too if you can think of many. Question submissions will close well before the festival begins, as we'll record the broadcast beforehand. I'll let you know a bit before you run out of time.
