Reworking of the mine, ruins and atmosphere

[h2]Hello Community,[/h2][p]We just released a new update.[/p][p][/p][p]Mine[/p][p]In this update, the mine has been greatly expanded and the atmosphere in the mine has also been adjusted. From now on you also have the possibility to enter the mine behind the big mountain.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Ruin[/p][p]The ruin has been completely redesigned and enlarged, you now have a new entrance, but the atmosphere has also been revised here.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Street lighting[/p][p]In the small village behind the ruins, the streetlights have been removed and lamps have been installed on the houses instead.[/p][p][/p][p]Environment & lighting[/p][p]Small adjustments have also been made here to make the shadows more prominent, the colors are slightly more accentuated and the bloom effect has been slightly reduced.[/p][p][/p][p]Headlamp[/p][p]The brightness has been increased slightly as it was quite dark.[/p][p][/p][p]Loot[/p][p]Due to an incorrectly set loot, one or the other loot opportunity was removed from the level too quickly. For example, an apple lying around. From now on, it remains lying around until you pick it up. However, this only applies to placed loot, things that you drop yourself disappear after a certain time.[/p][p][/p][p]Standing torch[/p][p]The brightness of the standing torch has been increased so that it can provide more light.[/p][p][/p][p]Bootcamp[/p][p]Some changes have also been made here, both visually and in the options for testing items. Superfluous weapons have been removed, you should be able to use the bootcamp for testing to find your way around the game a little better before you start the actual game.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Ocean[/p][p]Apparently the ocean was not displayed correctly for players when they went swimming in the sea. I have made changes here to fix the problem.[/p][p][/p][p]General Fixes[/p][p]Various smaller bugs have been fixed to improve the gameplay experience and stability.[/p][p]If you have any questions or feedback, let me know! GPU Bug Fixed & Lost Island Rework

[h2]Hello Community,[/h2][p]We just released a new update.[/p][p][/p][p]Info[/p][p]Since many individual changes were made and the GPU bug was also fixed, it is recommended to go in-game -> Main Menu -> Settings (Help) and perform Clear once. If necessary, also perform Reset in the video settings in-game.[/p][p][/p][p]Game[/p][p]KeepUp Survival game files have now been further reduced, so that less disk space is used – around 4 GB less.[/p][p]Additionally, other internal things were changed, which makes this update quite large.[/p][p][/p][p]Graphics Settings[/p][p]More FPS settings have been added, which you can now select.[/p][p][/p][p]GPU Bottleneck Fixed[/p][p]After a long wait, the GPU bug has now been fixed. This bug caused unnecessary GPU load, which led to poor frame rates.[/p][p]You should now be able to reach around 120+ FPS with Ultra Settings on the recommended hardware without limitations.[/p][p][/p][p]GPU Usage[/p][p]Additionally, GPU usage has been reduced. However, keep in mind that depending on the hardware and settings you use, your hardware will be challenged accordingly.[/p][p][/p][p]GPU VRAM[/p][p]Additionally, GPU VRAM usage has been greatly reduced to make it possible for weaker hardware to run the game properly. Work is still ongoing to reduce usage as much as possible.[/p][p][/p][p]Lost Island Rework[/p][p]As announced in the news, Lost Island is receiving a small rework. In this update, large changes to the castle are included. The current castle was completely removed and replaced with a new one, along with nearby small houses.[/p][p]A mine has also been added, where you can find many stones to harvest.[/p][p]Also added are structural changes to large rocks, now visible across large parts of the map to make everything more visually appealing. Wooden stairs for climbing and new paths have also been added.[/p][p]Additionally, lifeless bodies can be found in certain areas of the map, meant to highlight a bit of the story of Lost Island. Even though KeepUp Survival is a sandbox game, it still needs a small story. In a future update, I plan to leave a hidden clue – follow this clue and you’ll learn more.[/p][p]The horse you can own has been relocated and can now be found near the castle.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Further Changes[/p][p]Further changes to the crafting stations and the sulfur area were planned for this update, but I won’t release them yet. I prioritized the performance improvements and wanted to provide them as quickly as possible.[/p][p]In the next update, more changes to Lost Island Map will be released.[/p][p][/p][p]General Fixes[/p][p]Various smaller bugs have been fixed to improve the gameplay experience and stability.[/p][p]If you have any questions or feedback, let me know! GPU bottleneck bug will be fixed in the next update and more!

[h3]Hello Community,[/h3][p][/p][p]Today I would like to share some good news about performance improvements and news about Lost Island.[/p][p][/p][p]A lot has already been done to improve performance, but so far the effects have been minimal. Quality has also had to take a back seat from time to time.[/p][p][/p][p]KeepUp Survival had an intense internal GPU bug that was so difficult to track down that it seemed almost impossible to find the problem properly. Even new versions of the engine didn't have the desired effect at first.[/p][p][/p][p]However, after much deliberation, I decided to take a bigger step and switch to the latest engine version in order to carry out further tests.[/p][p]And that's exactly what fixed the GPU bottleneck bug![/p][p][/p][p]Sometimes in development you have the strangest things where you keep asking yourself: what was it again? that's the way it is.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]I can now say: it runs very well![/p][p]Even older computers will be able to play the game properly again with the upcoming update.[/p][p][/p][p]With Ultra Settings + TSR you can now achieve over 130 FPS (without limitation) on Lost Island, and on the Mountain Map it's even over 170 FPS.[/p][p][/p][p]GPU utilization used to be a tricky issue.[/p][p]Here, too, the values are now very good: with an FPS limit of 60 FPS, the GPU load is only 50 % to 55 %.[/p][p]Of course, if you want to use higher FPS, you will have a correspondingly higher load - everyone should be aware of that. As it currently stands, it is perfectly tuned.[/p][p][/p][p]VRAM usage has also been optimized:[/p][p]In order to reduce the memory consumption of the graphics card, I have reworked many textures.[/p][p]Now they usually only use up to 3-4 GB (a little more depending on the situation).[/p][p]My goal remains to keep the game playable for older systems.[/p][p][/p][p]News about Lost Island:[/p][p]Lost Island is also currently receiving a small rework.[/p][p]With the upcoming update, there will be more new buildings, including a quarry.[/p][p]The large castle will also be completely renovated and given a completely new look.[/p][p][/p][p]Another feature planned for the upcoming update:[/p][p]You will no longer be able to simply mine sulphur (sulfur) in the future, it will be necessary to carry a gas mask with you to do so.[/p][p][/p][p]At this point, many thanks again to Steam user & streamer Kredox, who gave me this idea![/p][p][/p][p]You still don't have to worry about your savegames:[/p][p]Your saved game data will of course be retained and can still be loaded, even if some new features and changes are added to the game.[/p][p][/p][p]The changes to the crafting stations will also be included in this update (as already announced in the penultimate update).[/p][p][/p][p]More information will follow with the upcoming update, which will be released soon![/p][p][/p][p][/p]

Bug fixes and Crafting

A fix has been applied to the graphics settings. The button for overall quality was always displaying the wrong name after saving, but this had no effect on the settings.

[h2]Crafting[/h2]
The converter can now process additional clothing items. Previously, it was only possible to process more female clothing; now all clothing items can be processed.

[h2]General Fixes[/h2]
Various minor bugs have been fixed to improve overall gameplay experience and stability.

Improvements to Achievements, Starting Clothes, and optics!

We have just released a new update.

[h2]Achievements[/h2]
We have improved the "5 Days" achievement, as it wasn't always triggered correctly before. If this happened to you, it will now be fixed during your next gameplay and triggered retroactively when your save file exceeds 5 days.

[h2]Starting Clothes[/h2]
From now on, starting clothes for both genders will be available at the beginning of a new game.

[h2]Visual Improvements[/h2]
To make the game more attractive, we have also implemented visual improvements.

From now on, content such as wood in campfires or furnaces will be visually displayed. If your wood is running low, you'll be able to see it. Cooked or melted items will also be displayed, and their completion will be shown.

These changes are designed to not only improve the visuals but also reduce the frequent trips to the fire to check if there's enough wood or if the cooking is finished.

Not all consumers, such as the converter, have been adjusted yet, but the improvements that have been implemented can be seen here.
