Weapons, Farming and Building
Hello Community,
[p]I have just released a new update.[/p][p][/p][p]Farming:[/p]
 • [p]Due to a change in a June update, a problem had occurred, which I only noticed now because someone reported it to me. The sprinkler did not transfer water to the plants; this problem has now been fixed.[/p]
 • [p]Previously, only untreated water could be added. Now treated water can also be added, and when you look at the plant, the total number of bottles you have in your inventory will be displayed.[/p]
[p]Paraglider:[/p]
 • [p]From now on, you can fly faster and further.[/p]
 • [p]Most fans will now carry you higher than usual, allowing you to cover longer distances with the glider.[/p]
[p]Vehicles:[/p]
 • [p]Cars, horses, and helicopters are now marked on the map to show their position, making them easier to find again.[/p]
[p]Weapons:[/p]
 • [p]Tools, one-handed weapons like the pickaxe or the shovel now have improved animation stops when striking.[/p]
 • [p]Weapons now deal slightly more damage.[/p]
 • [p]Weapons now cause a slight camera movement when striking.[/p]
[p]Animals:[/p]
 • [p]Occasionally, the animal would disappear after being killed. This problem has been fixed.[/p]
[p]Building:[/p]
 • [p]From now on, you can build and install your own Updraft Vent. Keep in mind that it also requires its own power.[/p]
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Bug:[/p]
 • [p]Currently, there is an error with the weather; rain and snow are not displayed correctly. This problem also seems to have occurred with the June update. This problem is still being worked on.[/p]
[p][/p][p]General Fixes[/p][p]Various smaller bugs have been fixed to improve the gameplay experience and stability.[/p][p]If you have any questions or feedback, let me know! Thank you for your support and have fun with the game!

Animals, Weapons and Balance – Your Feedback in Action!
Hello Community,
[p]I have just released a new update.[/p][p][/p][p]First of all, I would like to thank you for your feedback over the past few days here on Steam and Discord.[/p][p]Above all, the animals were often the main focus, as well as the first-person view, which was not very well received.[/p][p]Based on your feedback and suggestions, I worked as quickly as possible to fix these issues. The first-person view and weapon handling were quickly improved in the last update. The animals have also been revised.[/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]Another community comment was that there is too much food in the world. That’s why I made a few small adjustments. I have to proceed carefully here, as it takes time to achieve a good balance.[/p][p]This update includes further improvements over the previous update and brings a small but important change. I hope you enjoy the update![/p][p][/p][p]Character:[/p]
 • [p]Currently, the damage taken is displayed on the screen. Now there is also a slight camera movement when you take damage, giving the impression that you actually got hurt.[/p]
[p]Weapons:[/p]
 • [p]With one-handed weapons, the animations when hitting an object such as a tree or rock were not stopped in the first-person view. This has been fixed with this update.[/p]
 • [p]The damage of some melee weapons, such as the stone axe, has been increased to balance the changes with the animals.[/p]
[p]Animals:[/p]
 • [p]All animals have now been further refined, especially their health status has been increased so that they do not die too quickly.[/p]
 • [p]Another visual issue with the animals has been fixed. When turning away from the animals, some functions were restricted in order to improve performance. This caused the animal to be displayed too late when turning back, and the player was either already bitten or the animal had disappeared. This has now been changed and improved.[/p]
 • [p]Further animation issues have been fixed, especially with the wolf, which tended to show strange animations. This has now been further improved – for example, you can now see the wolves howling.[/p]
 • [p]Now to an important point that many of you mentioned. The animals were too easy to kill and caused little damage. From now on, caution is advised, because as mentioned, all animals now have a higher health level. Wolves are now the most dangerous enemies on the map. They appear in packs or alone and deal more damage than before. The damage varies depending on where the animal hits you. Since the wolf no longer only bites but also jumps while biting, the chance of taking significant damage is very high. The bear, on the other hand, is slow, but if it hits you, you suffer massive damage that can lead to instant death.[/p]
 • [p]Escape behavior has also been improved. Especially when an animal is attacked and takes too much damage, it tries to flee. This may require a quick reaction if you want to kill the animal.[/p]
 • [p]Small animals will still try to flee and it will now be more difficult to kill them.[/p]
[p][/p][p]General Fixes[/p][p]Various smaller bugs have been fixed to improve the gameplay experience and stability.[/p][p]If you have any questions or feedback, let me know! Thank you for your support and have fun with the game!

Improvements to First-Person View, Weapons, and Animals!
Hello Community,
[p]I have just released a new update.[/p][p][/p][p]Character:[/p]
 • [p]The first-person view has been overhauled, so there should no longer be any clipping issues where body parts appear cut off or the arms start to fade in and out.[/p]
 • [p]A future update will further improve the movements in the first-person perspective. For a while now, the camera has not been freely movable, which suppresses the wobbling in the first-person view. This change was made based on feedback from the community, who reported feeling dizzy during fast movements.[/p]
 • [p]Overall, the gameplay experience in the first-person perspective should now be more pleasant.[/p]
[p][/p][p]Weapons:[/p]
 • [p]All weapons and items have been realigned to fit better with the character and no longer appear misaligned.[/p]
 • [p]One-handed weapons have also been reworked to enable more realistic hit animations. Previously, some animations when striking would pass through trees or rocks. This has now been fixed, so hits are simulated more realistically.[/p]
[p][/p][p]Animals:[/p]
 • [p]The AI of the animals has been further adjusted and bugs have been fixed. For example, wolves triggered a wrong animation when they started running. Now, animals like hares and chickens react by fleeing when you get too close, instead of just wandering around aimlessly.[/p]
 • [p]Wolves and bears will now flee when you inflict damage on them. After a certain point, they will flee.[/p]
 • [p]There will be another update to fix further animal issues.[/p]
[p][/p][p]General Fixes[/p][p]Various smaller bugs have been fixed to improve the gameplay experience and stability.[/p][p]If you have any questions or feedback, let me know! Thank you for your support and have fun with the game!

A few personal words & feedback welcome!
Hello Community,
[p]I'd like to address you briefly today, not with an update, but with a few thoughts about the game, its development, and the feedback from the community.[/p][p]Since the beginning of 2021, I've been developing this game as a solo developer with passion, patience, and constant improvement. There are regular updates, on average every two to four weeks, with new content, bug fixes, improvements, and performance optimizations.[/p][p]Community feedback also actively contributes to development, much of which has greatly improved the game. At this point, I'd like to thank everyone who has contributed constructively![/p][p][/p]
Review & Request to Previous Players
[p]I know there have always been ups and downs over time, and yes, there are decisions I might have made differently in retrospect, but unfortunately, I can't undo. I can only look forward and move on.[/p][p][/p][p]What's going on with the reviews?[/p][p]I've been observing the development of the reviews with mixed feelings for some time, especially because some statements contradict each other.[/p][p]Opinions vary. But I find it difficult to objectively assess the review status.[/p][p]I'm constantly thinking about how I can improve the game without deviating from my core idea. KeepUp Survival is intended to remain a simple survival sandbox base-building game, open and without fixed specifications.[/p][p]There were no fundamental gameplay changes that could significantly impact perception, just improvements: content-wise, visually, and through bug fixes.[/p][p]Since March 2023, however, the review ratio has significantly worsened, and honestly, I can't explain why. Don't get me wrong, it just feels like all the updates have done little to improve the game.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]How do you currently perceive the game?[/p][p]I'm interested in your opinion, honestly: What do you like and dislike? And what do you think about the current review trend?[/p][p]Of course, there are still open areas to improve, such as the first-person mode or visual aspects; I'm aware of that, and I'm working on them. But none of that prevents you from actually playing or restricts important features.[/p][p][/p]
Your honest feedback
[p]Some of you may have written your review at a time when the game was in a completely different state.[/p][p]If you like, feel free to take another look; a lot has changed. Maybe your impression is completely different today, maybe not.[/p][p]But: Your honest feedback really helps me.[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you for your time, your interest, and for every piece of feedback that helps move KeepUp Survival forward.[/p][p][/p]

[p][/p][p]In Discord you have the possibility to follow the development and ask questions. https://discord.gg/8zyKXj9SDr[/p][p][/p]
Follow me on social media!

Vehicle and horse key assignment adjusted!
Hello Community,
[p]We just released a new update.[/p][p]It contains a small change, when changing the WASD key mapping, it was only applied to the character. From now on, these key mappings will also be automatically applied to the vehicle and the horse when you change them.[/p][p][/p][p]General Fixes[/p][p]Various smaller bugs have been fixed to improve the gameplay experience and stability.[/p][p]If you have any questions or feedback, let me know! Thank you for your support and have fun with the game!
