📢 Notification of Known Issues as of February 16th, 2023

This is Team Dysterra.

Some of the known issues have been resolved and improved through the last update on February 15th 

and new issues to be resolved in the next update have been added.

[h2]📢Notification of Known Issues for February 15th, 2023[/h2]

Known issue notifications are to disclose the thoughts of the Dev team regarding errors that occur while installing or playing the game, in-game bugs, or status(progress).

They will be announced as often as possible according to the progress of reports from players.

[h2]📌 Recently resolved or reflected 📌[/h2]

✅ Mutant Guardian NPCs not spawning at the last stage of Chemochamber

✅ “*” sign displaying when entering a single-byte number in custom server names

✅ Triangle ceiling/floor dismantling when dismantling other building parts

✅ Characters being stuck at various locations in the underground zone

[h2]🚧 Issues to be fixed in the next update 🚧[/h2]

❗ The time of application of these fixes may be delayed depending on the priority, 
  but they will all be applied as soon as possible. 

🔧 Receiving items as stacked and being unable to divide by using shift key 
    when purchasing multiple items from the Terrasite trasmitter.

🔧 Abnormal hit sound effect on Geolab's sliding door

🔧 Constant energy consumption after using Air Glide skill 

🔧 Electric barrier remains active until the Mutant Guardian's dead body gets looted and vanished.

🔧 Unable to purchase limited items from Terrasite transmitter.

🔧 The issue of not being able to build foundations in some places after removing trees

🔧 The issue of Juggernaut and Grima being stuck in certain areas

         from building housing to prevent monopolization and abuse.
         However, since we received many complaints about the inconvenience these 
         restrictions cause, we are considering reducing the restricted area 
         and will be reflecting the reduction in our next update!

  💬 We have been getting reports about Juggernaut being too easy to take down, 
        and bugs that you can take advantage of by using surround walls. 
        Juggernaut will be back with better AI.

🧪 Considering providing a skill reset

    💬 We have been getting complaints about not being able to reset your skills, and we are thinking
        about adding a skill reset method. For instance, you would have to reset your skills 
        by acquiring certain items through crafting or Facility raids. 

🧪 Fixed an issue where the character could not fully aim down below

🧪 Fixed an issue where the hotkey worked when using the search function on a workbench, etc.

🧪 Issues with installations being installed improperly

    💬We are considering improvements for issues such as not being able to place items
        like the Workbench close to the walls, and not being able to automatically align 
        these benches in the direction where the character is looking at. 

🧪 Changing existing settings for Single Player mode

    💬We are considering a modification function for survivors who must have been frustrated 
        because it was impossible to change the settings in the middle of Single Player mode.
        You can change the Single Player mode settings by modifying the contents of the file 
        located in the folder below.

🧪 Planned improvements to the long crafting time of forges

  💬The existing balance was set to encourage the forges to operate automatically while
  the player explores the world and loots major bases and facilities,
  but we are considering introducing the ‘Forge Upgrade System’ as quickly as possible
  to incorporate opinions from players.
  We will be back soon with better and hopefully more intuitive forges.

✔ Fixed issue that Hyena base does not have its marker displayed on the world map.

✔ Added base protection buffer time and display message and pop-up for base protection status.

✔ Balanced the increase/decrease of the Terrafire eruption date when using the Facility Phase Controller

✔ Fixed an issue that Buildingcore access is denied when other repeater was installed nearby

    slide door at Chemochamber, Satellite station

6) Fixed equipment's name text covers the UI when selecting the equipment on workbench.

7) Fixed damage rate displayed 0 when using DMR TF80A's burst fire mode

8) Fixed the floating container at the Geo lab

9) Fixed font size of the safe slot's description in German, Spanish, French, and Russian.

10) Fixed NPCs being visible through the walls.

11) Fixed the issue that the Elk, Bear's footstep has no sound effects.

12) Fixed the issue that protocol vanishes when putting it to the other slot if inventory is full

13) Fixed the issue that character model viewer remains even after UI window is closed

14) Fixed slippery animation of Mutant and Valiant when dashing towards the players.

[Patch Note] Tutorial Improvement and New Items - Update Preview [02.15.2023]

Greetings from Orbis!

Things have finally settled down in our offices following the push to get Season 2 ready on time.
We’re still going to release consistent patches, and we’re definitely going to sprinkle in new content whenever we can.

This week we have mostly quality of life changes, but also some new items that can be recycled into very useful crafting materials.

[h2]📒 Quests wait until you’re done fighting.[/h2]

I know most of you have tried the tutorial (known in-game as the mission guide).

There were occasions when Vanessa would start talking about your next mission while you were in the middle of a fight. Nobody wants to be distracted when there’s a gun pointed at their head.



That’s why we’ve added a new condition to any base-building related quests:
A new quest will not be introduced while NPCs are targeting you.

The game now lets you finish what you’re doing before Vanessa starts telling you what’s next on your agenda. Let us know if there are any instances where it needs further adjustment.

[h2]📒 Changed some drops[/h2]
In this patch, we’ll be adding a couple new useful items:

[h3]◾ Lithium Specimen[/h3]

While Ararat’s facilities are currently battlegrounds, they were originally for research. We’re hoping to include more world building in small ways like this for the foreseeable future. You’ll be able to find them in the Bunker, as well as when defeating a juggernaut(instead of the RF-9 shotgun it used to drop).

These items can be broken down at a recycler into very high level and useful materials.

[h2]📒 Newly Purchasable Items![/h2]
Work smart, not hard! Instead of farming for items all day, just buy what you need at a terrasite transmitter. You can find them next to most Hyena portals(marked on your map), or you can install one in your home. All you need to do is transmit some terrasite up to Orbis for some terrapoints, and then use those terrapoints to buy whatever’s on sale at the moment.

With the need for mutant mushrooms to make anti-radiation shots, this should be a nice way to stock up when you’re in a rush. But remember that you can only purchase a limited amount of each item, and items may rotate in and out of stock, so it’s good to buy things before you need them.

[h2]📒 Bug Fixes[/h2]

[h3]Buildings[/h3]
✅ Base parts weren’t snapping together. Fixed it.

[h3]Enemies[/h3]
✅ Enemies were popping through walls. They shouldn’t anymore.
✅ Animals weren’t making sounds while walking. You should hear bears sneaking up on you now.
✅ Animals and enemies weren’t moving their feet correctly when turning, or they seemed to be walking on ice. We put our foot down and stopped the problem.

[h3]Inventory[/h3]
✅ Some people lost their protocols while trying to drag their protocol to the repair bench while their inventory was full. That won’t happen any more.

[h3]Other fixes[/h3]
✅ Some containers where floating up in the air. We bolted them down so they’ll stay in place.

[h3]UI[/h3]
✅ We fixed several small UI issues across the board.

We hope everyone had a fantastic time during the free weekend of Dysterra! It's been a true joy to welcome so many new players to the game, and we're grateful for their contributions in the forums. As developers, our goal is to provide the best gaming experience possible in Dysterra. We’re continuously gathering feedback, analyzing gameplay data, and experimenting with new features and improvements. We’re dedicated to fixing bugs, balancing gameplay, and adding new content.

We appreciate your patience and your feedback as we work to make Dysterra better. Although some technical issues may take longer to resolve, please let us know if an issue is taking too long. Your feedback is a large part of our development process, and player feedback feedback lets us know what we’re doing right(or wrong).

With that said, this week’s patch is mostly aimed at fixing some common issues addressing drop rates.



[h2]📒 More Mutant Mushrooms[/h2]
Exciting news regarding radiation shots!
We're adding nearly 100 new mutant mushroom spawning locations to help players craft more radiation shots when they need them. Raiding Orbis bases should be much easier now.


[h2]📒 Changes to Item Drop Rates[/h2]
We're constantly adding new and exciting items to the game to keep things fresh and interesting for our players. But the influx of new items in our Season 2 update comes with the need to maintain balance in our drop tables. In order to ensure players can consistently obtain the items they're seeking when farming, we're taking the necessary steps to rebalance several of our container drop tables.

We understand that obtaining specific items can be an important part of the gaming experience, and we want to make sure that players are able to do so in a fair and consistent manner. By rebalancing the drop tables, we aim to strike a balance between excitement and accessibility, providing players with a more enjoyable and rewarding experience overall.



[h2]📒 Stronger Lv.1 Batteries[/h2]
Batteries are now harder to craft with the added requirement of Lithium, meaning they are harder to get when you need them. To compensate for this, we’ve decided to enhance the power of Lv.1 batteries, increasing their energy points from 20 to 25.


[h2]📒 Optimizations[/h2]
In response to single-player feedback, we're making adjustments to the number of resource nodes in single-player mode to better suit the solo experience. This update aims to provide a more optimized and enjoyable experience for players who prefer to journey through the game without other players attacking them.


[h2]📒 AI Optimization[/h2]
To enhance overall gameplay, we’ve made some improvements to AI pathfinding. These updates ensure that AI characters can navigate the game world more effectively and efficiently, allowing them to reach their desired destinations with greater accuracy.


[h2]📒 Bug Fixes[/h2]
◾ The recycler was spitting out the wrong items for a couple of materials. We’ve fixed it.

◾ We’ve patched up the Bunker to make sure people don’t get stuck in places they shouldn’t.

◾ A few facilities had an issue where the final boss wasn’t spawning. We had a chat with the NPCs, and they’ll be showing up for work from now on.

◾ A couple players weren’t able to rejoin their teams after leaving them. You should be able to play in full teams of 4 with no issue now.

◾ There was an issue with building restrictions for bases with multiple users where players would suddenly not be able to interact with a part of their base. That issue should now be a thing of the past.
