2nd beta test update guide part 2 - Vehicle and new traps

We would like to introduce a new way to use vehicles and traps you will face on our 2nd beta test.
[Changed way to use a vehicle]
Over the world, there will randomly be “DYNAMO with no tires” along the road, unlike the previous world, survivors cannot drive it immediately. Restoration system has been added to drive DYNAMO only with crafted vehicle tires.

After equipping “Vehicle Tires”, restored vehicles can be refuelled through maintenance menu(F HOLD) and you can also restore decreased durability from the damage done by other survivors.

Can make DYNAMO with no tires re-drivable again.

It is a consumable Battery that is used for refuelling vehicles.

Vehicles can be fixed using bolt, Sensor, Wire in proportion to decreased durability.

When durability has been completely damaged, DYNAMO turns to “Broken vehicle”, and cannot be driven anymore.
Few resources are obtainable through unusable “Broken vehicle”
[Guide for new traps]
1. Two new turrets
two new turrets are added each using different types of ammo.

Automated defense turret using light ammo.

Automated defense turret using shotgun slug.

Automated defense turret using energy ammo.

Turrets can be installed with different types of ammo. Therefore, turrets are able to react differently to other types of ammo/armor being used by intruders.

2. Two new base traps are added
Originally, there were only traps that are shaped in squares. Now,
two types of triangle base traps have been added.

It is a transparent floor that can be installed up on the ceiling. Please note that it cannot be installed on the ground or foundation.

Electric Floor can be installed right on the ground or foundation.
Depending on its electricity consumption settings, damages vary along with it.

You can trick and get rid of intruders with a combination of these two different types of trap

3. Installments for base management
These updated installments will help survivors to manage their basecamp better.

Garage doors can be installed at the edge of ceiling enabling vehicles to go in and out.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

Survivors can not only use this garage door for DYNAMO, but it can also be used for different purposes as well. For example, you can put your storages inside these garage doors.

It is a device managing the installed machines all at once.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

Crafting, fixing, and power management of all the installed machines inside your base can now be controlled by this device all at once.

The machine that survivors will find the most important. Method of using this ‘Terrasite Exchange Transmitter’ will be explained through another post before the test begins.

Please wishlist and follow Dysterra for more updates and information.
We will come back with better and improved Dysterra next week!

Crafting, Housing update, and Frontier test

Here’s our updates on crafting and housing
[Crafting update]
Few changes mentioned below will be updated for better surviving and battle during the early part of the game.
1. Gun craft difficulty adjusted and pistol ammo added.
Difficulty adjustment on overall looting, survivors can now craft 1st and 2nd tier weapons in a shorter period of time.
Moreover, survivors can craft 3rd tier weapons on the field without a workbench that can only be installed in basecamp. However, please note that there will be disadvantages on durability and resource consumption on 2nd and 3rd tier weapons crafted on the field.

Also, pistol ammo can be crafted with low cost which can lead to usage of Agons without any pressure of using many resources.
2. New item: sleeping bag
When a character dies, the sleeping bag works as a respawning point. Unlike bed, it can easily be installed without building a basecamp.

However, it does have a longer cooldown duration compared to the bed. When respawned, cooldown duration will be activated on the sleeping bag itself and any bed located nearby.
[Housing update]
For more convenient basecamp management, crafting mode and production settings are partially changed.
1. Housing parts diversification
Crafting mode(F2) Housing ring UI will be categorised by same or similar housing parts

Also with our new pillar parts on housing, survivors can build various types of basecamp with special exterior.
2. Workbench integration
To simplify production and management settings, Plasma workbench now takes care of both weapons and armors. With this change, survivors can now manage their bases with more efficiency.
[Frontier test]
Our update mentioned above, and many other unrevealed updates will be opened to survivors through our frontier test that will take place next week.

More detailed schedules and guides will be shared through our Discord and Steam community starting from next week.
