New upcoming weapons: Agon & Drescher đŸ”«

Hey guys,
Wondered how the new upcoming weapons would look like? Let’s take a look at two new weapons that will be available for the next test.

[h3]A revolver with light ammo[/h3]


A new revolver awaits you.
Agon is classified as a low tier with minor damage, however, it is easy to craft and highly stable which makes it exceptional at an early stage of the game.

[h2]Drescher[/h2]
[h3]A heavy machine gun with energy ammo[/h3]


A new heavy machine gun will be also available.
Drescher is classified as a special-tier that has a large ammo capacity with fast RPM and gives critical damage. It will help your survival in the mid to late half of the game.

Details of Agon and Drescher will be provided in the next patch note.

Also, we’re going to provide a few more new weapons, reclassified weapon tiers, and a change in crafting weapons. Look forward to all these spectacular changes that will engage in your major gaming experience!

🛠Game display and character menu revision🛠

Hey guys, hope you guys are doing great!

We’re very excited to give you an update on what we have been working on regarding game display and character menu.

Based on various feedback's from our testers, we are in the process of changing some features as listed below.

[h3]Optimized head up display [/h3]
Our head up display has been modified focusing more on survival and combat. Now, users can conveniently check out the essentials - character’s status and game progress - in a simple manner.

[h3]Party system added while unnecessary functions removed [/h3]
The screen configuration has been adjusted to fit various information related to party systems such as party members’ info and their locations. Chat system has also been changed accordingly.

Inconvenient short-keys have been unified and rearranged, and easy-to-expand switch quick slots have been added.



[h3][Basic Layout Revision][/h3]
[h3]Layout divided but more information[/h3]
In-game inventory now focuses more on character status and information about possessed items. Also, the crafting menu can be accessed separately due to its importance and usage frequency.

[h3]Better and easier user experience[/h3]
Mouse overlay pop-up function has been added to provide convenience in selecting, comparing, and wearing a variety of different items according to user actions.

In addition, the inventory is divided into three zones when looting items; Some great facets have been added to help you play Dysterra in a better gaming environment.



Finally, the information window conveying Landmarks and Diagrams are currently also undergoing some changes in contents and visuals to provide better game play for you.

Development Plan

I have exciting news for you guys - We’re going to talk about what our dev team has been working on to prepare for the next test.

Our team had a very long and deep talk about how we want to shape up Dysterra based on the feedback, survey, and all data we gathered from alpha testing and we are going to improve more convenience on your gaming experience along with focusing on the survival genre environment.

[Major Improvement]




[h2]UI Improvement [/h2]
- The main UI design will be improved.
- The way to display characters stats and items information will be changed.

[h2]Team Play[/h2]
- Inviting players to play co-op as a team will be added.
- Sharing housing with your teammates will be added which allows them to construct one together.

[h2]New Area [/h2]
- A Northern area in the map with highest difficulty will be opened along with a new landmark.
- More materials to gather will be provided in the Northern area.

[h2]Housing System [/h2]
- The way to upgrade housing structures and defend your own housing will be improved.
- A new workbench to repair your weapons/armors will be added.

[h2]NPC Improvement [/h2]
- More fighting patterns and general improvement on NPCs
- New NPCs will be added corresponding with the area’s difficulties.

[h2]New Weapons [/h2]
- High tier weapons will be added.
- New secondary weapons will be added.

[h2]New Armors[/h2]
- More buff or performance will be added depending on which weapons you are holding.
- New armors will be added.

[h2]Car Usage [/h2]
- Cars will need to be fueled to move and more players will be able to get on one car.

[h2]Player Convenience [/h2]
- Some of your items will be able to retrieve after you die.

It's already been 3 weeks we ran our alpha testing and had a chance to meet you guys. We'd like to let you know that our dev team has started working on the next test based on the feedback we gathered from you. We do really appreciate your opinions towards our alpha testing 😄

Apparently bears scared everyone day and night. Go easy on them next time. đŸ»

Alpha testing brought us such a great opportunity for us to have a direction on development and made us realize how Dysterra pleased players as a survival game. For the next test, we are planning to shape it up more close to a finished build and of course to provide you an enormous fun.

We were very touched by your creativity and adventurous endeavor to construct amazing buildings that no one has ever imagined. 🔹

With this posting as a start, we are going to bring some topics to talk about in our community every week - topics could be our development plan, what our team has been up to or anything else. However, any dev plan we'll bring into our community might not be set in stone yet but at least it's something we could talk about and hear your opinions.

We know how much you guys want to hear news from us and also we'd love to keep our community alive and bright.

Greetings, alpha testers.

It’s a pleasure to meet you here and we’d like to express my gratitude towards your interest and participation in Dysterra Alpha testing. Dysterra is a sci-fi survival action game that allows you to roam the prison planet and offers a lot of exciting shooting battles and gaming experience.



We believe that communicating with players and taking their opinions seriously would help shape up the game. As Dysterra is still in an early stage of development, we have decided to present it to you as an Alpha testing instead of Beta. Every tester’s feedback is highly valuable to us and we’ll make sure to bring you an extreme survival gaming experience
