Hotfix 11/17

There was a bug causing the wrong character portraits to briefly appear next to the textbox on rare occasions.

The way we had been using character portraits during some choice menus was causing this to happen, and we've removed all instances of this.

NOTE: If you have a save file where you were experiencing this issue, that particular file may still have the bugged character portrait saved as part of its game state, because that save still has in its history that it was exposed to the bugged menu portrait setting before the fix. Saves that never experienced this bug, as well as new saves, should remain unaffected by it. The fastest way to get back to where an affected save left off would be to use the Skip button to fast-forward up to that point. Apologies for the inconvenience!

New Steam game is Cyberpunk 2077 meets Smite, with Genshin's YaoYao

In the neon-bathed world of Cyberpunk 2077, the Gods and Goddesses of ancient times feel pretty archaic. Where technology reigns supreme and myth has been banished to the annals of history, imagining a mashup of CDPR's Night City and Smite's fantastical setting is pretty difficult - unless you're the team at Volutian Design, that is.

Gods of the Twilight is Out Now!

The time has come to face your destiny! Today we release the first five chapters of our cyberpunk visual novel Gods of the Twilight in Steam Early Access.
  • Discover magic in a world of tech
  • Shape the coming apocalypse
  • Make friends, enemies, and (optionally) lovers
  • Fully voiced dialog!

This multi-season, episodic adventure follows the journeys of dual protagonists Althea and Farkas as old Norse magic returns to their world, and they realize they're more than human.

Faced with unexpected abilities and assassins hunting them for just that reason, they must flee their homes on the city-ship of New Reykjavík and look elsewhere for safety and answers. In the process, they will face gods, monsters, and humans on all sides of the law who could become friends, enemies, or even lovers.

With hundreds of variables tracking your choices and countless combinations of consequences, you decide what becomes of the characters, their relationships, and their apocalypse. How will you end the world?

Early Access will grant you:
  • Immediate access to the first 5 chapters (about 10 hours per playthrough including the demo Chapter 0)
  • Automatic access to the remaining chapters of Season 1 as we add them, at no additional charge

Season 1 is planned to include 20 chapters, and new sets of 5-6 chapters are planned every 6-12 months.

We are Steam Deck Compatible!

We've requested an official Steam Deck Compatibility Review by Valve, but in the meantime, we tested the game on Deck ourselves.

It includes:
  • Full controller support
  • No platform-specific glyphs to display
  • No text input requiring a keyboard
  • Runs at a playable framerate on Deck by default
  • The smallest font size is 14
  • No crashes or freezing observed by the devs during play on Deck

However, if you experience any issues, please don't hesitate to reach out! We're happy to receive feedback via:

All-New Character Art!

Our character sprites have now all been updated to match the style of our animated cutscene illustrations. And they blink now too!

Meanwhile, all assets are in place for the first post-demo chapters we plan to release, Chapters 1-5. We're currently gathering feedback for these new chapters before proceeding into voice recording, and then they'll be ready to release! Keep an eye out in the coming months.
