Community Update: Winter Resort Concepts & New Mini Game Tease!
Hi everyone!
Hope you are all enjoying these hot summer days, getting some well deserved rest and of course - enjoying all the great indie games, that got stuck in your backlogs. While we are super busy cooking our cute puzzle game in the MythicOwl's kitchen (playing a bit of LEGO Builder's Journey in the meantime), we got a cool, icy update on Harmony's Odyssey development.
Before we get into details, please have a look at this beautiful digital drawing by our super talented artist Alisa. She is always having loads of fun sketching the most creative situations you can possibly come up with. Make sure to drop her a Follow on her Instagram account here.
Moving on to the game itself, as you probably know from our previous announcements, Harmony's Odyssey will feature 7 detailed, diverse biomes. Each biome will be designed in a unique way, making the most of the climate, architecture and other inventive solutions our peculiar inhabitants can think of. Winter Resort the perfect example of this approach, as depicted on the concepts below:
(Above) You probably remember crocodiles from provious sketches - it turns out they are quite compatible ski lifts. We dearly miss skiing and snowboarding through flakey snow and appreciate these fellows support even more!
How about a Snowplow Food Truck? A winter vehicle that can make its way through pretty heavy snow and supply our skiers with some of the best hotdogs in town? We got you!
These Moai dad-statues offer quite a challenging puzzle experience in Harmony's Odyssey, while sporting a truly 80s-like entourage. Everyone heard about the massive heads sticking out of the ground but does anyone know their true purpose?
The flowers. We all love and care for them, appreciate their uplifting nature and do our best to conserve them. Since it is super hard to do so in the minus temperatures, we have a feeling the garden will look a bit different this year..
All the elements shown above play a huge role in solving the interactive puzzles of Harmony's Odyssey. Each element will have its own influence on the solution and our approach is to enrich the gameplay with detuctive, approachable and understandable riddles. Now last but not least, we would like to give you a glimpse of the second Mini Game we are working on.. Detective Mummy!
This game is full of mystery, antiques and requires a falcon eyesight. We will be revealing more about it very soon so make sure to follow us on a social media or community platform of your choice. In the meantime, take a look some of the character sketches at our Detective, hopefuly the linen stays put at least until the release date! ːsteamhappyː
