Update 1.0.1 is live!

It took us a bit, but we wanted to make sure we had everything as polished as we could make it for this update. Along with some adorable new features like the additional pet skins, this update also includes full controller support and basic modding capabilities!

Along with those key features and all of the updates listed in the patch notes below, we've also started to compile a list of frequently asked questions. You can check out the current list on the Plum Grove FAQ in the Steam Discussion board.

We know of a few issues that remain with controller support which we are continuing to work on. We will be monitoring both our Discord and the Steam Discussions closely to make sure everything is working smoothly outside of these remaining issues.

Adorable Stardew Valley style farming sim reveals post launch plans

Following a successful launch, new farming game and life sim Echoes of the Plum Grove has plenty more to come in the weeks and months to follow. With an adorable papercraft presentation but a willingness to tackle tough topics such as sickness and death, Plum Grove has already landed to a 'very positive' Steam reception, and developer Unwound Games reveals what's currently in the works as it thanks players for their support.

Post-Launch Plans

We cannot thank you all enough for the overwhelming support since launch!

With over 400 reviews on Steam already and a bunch of wonderful people sharing their feedback and passing along bug reports for us to look into, this has truly been an amazing few days. We wanted to make sure to take some time to address a couple of the bigger concerns and share our plans for the coming weeks with all of you.

First things first, we’ll be dropping an update next week sometime! This update will include more pet options, bug fixes, and improved controller support! Even if we don’t quite reach full controller support in the next week, we will continue to improve it with the goal of full controller support as soon as possible.

We couldn't help but give you a little teaser of one of the birds, even though they're not flying into the next update. But here's some good news: you'll get two new cat options, one new dog option, and even a pet pig to pick from! That means you'll have four pets to choose from—excluding our feathered friends. Secondly, we are aware of a game crash happening for a small set of Windows 11 users. We have been working with our publishers to try and replicate the issue but have had no luck so far. If you happen to have a game crash (or any other bug/issue), we would greatly appreciate you joining our Discord so that we can work directly with you to try and get as much information as possible. If you can’t join Discord or simply don’t wish to, sharing as much information as possible with us in the Bug Reports forum on Steam is another option.
Outside of the upcoming patch, we also wanted to share some of the other upcoming features on the horizon.
• Steam Deck Verification
 • Furniture/Decor for walls such as paintings and hanging pots and pans
 • Family tree menu so that you can see your lineage
 • Ability to inoculate your family / give medicine to family members
 • Saving the Sick Quests (NPCs who will request medicine be sent through the mail)

Lastly, one of the things we have picked up on from our community is the lack of help with large farms in terms of watering. We are having talks about how to fix this, but as a quick fix, we are going to be putting in a unique potion you can buy from the witch (for relatively cheap) that once drunk, rain will be triggered the next day ❤️ 🌧️ We hope this helps in the short term for all our fabulous players out there.

Given that we’re a small team of two, we’ll be working hard to deliver as many of these features within the first month. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this list. Please know that we’ll be around throughout May to fix bugs, implement the new content, and answer your questions.
Kickstarter Stretch Goals
We also want to remind you of the stretch goals from our Kickstarter campaign! You can look forward to these making their way into the game in the future:
 • Thunderstorms
 • Three songbirds for your home interior
 • New character: Old Man Rickett!!
 • NPC painting Hobby: You’ll be able to purchase unique paintings from NPC’s with this hobby!

Again, thank you so much for your support! We are intently reading feedback, our bug threads, and watching people's playthroughs and we are shocked by how much you guys are loving the game ❤️
We are looking forward to the months to come and seeing all of you dive in and enjoy Echoes of the Plum Grove. If you haven’t yet, we’d greatly appreciate it if you left us an honest review on Steam. Steam reviews are incredibly important for indie games and more reviews mean more wonderful gamers like yourselves can discover the game.

'Cozy game with consequences' Echoes of the Plum Grove is constantly threatening me with death, taxes, and mean neighbors

Echoes of the Plum Grove may be an adorable-looking farm sim, but it's not so much like Stardew Valley as it is like the weird community simulations in Fable and Kynseed. Its two-person development team calls it a "cozy game with consequences," and, sure enough, the only things certain in Honeywood are death and taxes...
