Galactic Glitch v1.10 - New Prototypes and Future Plans



Hey everyone!

We're thrilled by the incredible response to Galactic Glitch! Thanks to your amazing support, we can already confidently say that we'll be able to keep working on the game for many months to come.

This patch concludes our main 1.0 update series, adding two more prototypes as well as a conclusion to the story so far. If you've already defeated the final boss, or as you return from the fight you will receive a message from our lovely Serenity on how the journey will continue and what you can already do to prepare, if you're looking for more Galactic Glitch!

Thanks to your amazing feedback and support, our journey is far from over! We're already excited to return with a whole new batch of updates and content, including new prototypes, difficulty levels, powers, bosses, and more! We're planning to release this next big update in about 6-8 weeks from now.

For now, we hope everyone is enjoying the 1.0 content and is as excited as we are about what's to come in the future of Galactic Glitch!

Galactic Glitch v1.09 - Balancing and Better Prototypes



Hey everyone!

Thanks everyone for all your feedback on weapons and Powers! Based on it, we're now making some important balance changes, to reel in a few Powers that seemed to be just super-op (looking at you Perfect Payout). In exchange, we're also buffing a whole bunch of weapons and especially the two more advanced Prototype ships to make them a lot more interesting and fun to play!

Nox is getting a permanent poison trail, whose damage now scales with the amount of Upgrade Protocols you gather. And Frostbite's freeze ability is now a lot stronger, able to stop enemies in their tracks, even when dashing, and even stopping them from turning to aim at you!

We also buffed a bunch of weapons, and also nerfed the op Flash Spear a little bit. It's still a pretty sweet deal of a gun, but just not quite as completely bonkers-overpowered as it was before.

Here's the full changelist:

[h3]Balance Changes[/h3]
  • Buffed damage on Railgun, Arakh Double Cannon, and Stabilized Quantum Beam
  • Buffed Quickshot damage and push, reduced slowdown
  • Nerfed Perfect Payout (reduced doubling chances)
  • Reworked Quick Fix power (it now doesn't block pickups, and heals correctly)
  • Adjusted Stunning Entrance power (now does damage at higher levels, instead of stunning 4+ seconds)
  • Reduced slowdown on Firefly Thrower
  • Reduced Flash Spear main and special damage
  • Prototype ship: Nox's poison trail is now way longer and scales with upgrades
  • Prototype ship: Frostbite's freeze effect is now much stronger, and also affects enemy aim

[h3]Bug Fixes and Improvements[/h3]
  • Fixed Nexus arrows not appearing in Cybervoid
  • Fixed double item spawning on shop spots
  • Fixed SpiderWeb effect on all enemies
  • Improved prototype switching speed

Btw, you can see which level you have beaten the game with on each of your Prototype ships. Soon, we'll be adding a new feature that let's you unlock additional stuff with each Prototype that has beaten Sim+++. Galactic Glitch v1.08 - A New Chapter Unfolds!



Hey everyone!

This is a big one! We're thrilled to announce that Boss Orb 3 aka Sim+++ is now unlocked! Besides adding the new chapter after defeating the last big bad we've also added new and improved Cybervoid mechanics and a new final encounter. Who could this mysterious new big boss be...?

Besides the new content, there is also lots of balancing, improvements and bug fixes as always. Here is the full list for you:

Galactic Glitch v1.06 - Balancing and various Improvements



Hey everyone!

We're back with v1.06, focused on improving the Celestial District level, and balancing early and mid-late game.

For balancing, we're increasing the chance of finding Glitch Charges in shops, making the early game a bit more reliable in terms of their availability. We're also buffing the big heal items' effect, and increasing the effect of all Upgrade Protocols as you gain more. Basically, we've tuned down the diminishing returns as you gain more of each kind.

For the Celestial level, we tuned down the background brightness, to make it easier to actually see the enemies and their attacks. We've also tuned the rotation speed on some enemies, to make their tracking a bit easier to handle. We're very curious what you think of these changes and of the level as a whole!

We've also buffed some Powers and weapons, and finally fixed the Void Dagger special attack (thanks @Faust!). Red Challenges in Poisoned Reaches and The Scrapyard should also be a bit more balanced and less crazy now.

  • Removed distortion effect on Frostbite prototype's dodge
