Dear Coffee Lovers,

Just imagine… you’re going to your favorite café. You meet your friends there and drink delicious coffee… Sounds great, right?

We want that in our game, too!

So here’s our next location in progress:

[h3]FRANCE[/h3]

What comes to your mind when you think about the French café?

Our thoughts are:

• great atmosphere
  
• a lot of interesting people
  
• unique design
  
• beautiful buildings
  

So we started to try to recreate that in our Espresso Tycoon.


We want to have beautiful coffee shops there - but we know that you (our players!) are going to create your own amazing designs.

So we’re focusing on the outdoor view, too.

We have some new buildings and a new city layout and we need to adapt the lightning to that change.

Here you can see the day and night cycle - how lights and shadows are changing.
(BTW, do you like these little lamps hanging there? ːsteamhappyː )


We are going to add some more decoration items which will fit the typically French style.



Remember, that one of the new locations will be added to our Prologue (have you added it to your Wishlist already?).

We mentioned that we’re going to add different locations to our Espresso Tycoon. We even dedicated the first Espresso Brainstorm episode to that topic. A lot of you requested Japan city. And…

Here it is!

We started working on it some time ago and your requests ensured us that it was a good direction.

We wanted to add some distinctive elements. Our thought was - it has to look that realistic that you just know you're in Asia.

And here’s the surprise! You can see stairs…
That’s right! We added new floors!

It wasn’t easy. We had to:

• adjust the building
  
• add the possibility to decorate the next floor
  
• upgrade the customers’ path
  
• upgrade the sitting spots - so the customers can choose chairs on each floor
  

[h3]Decoration items[/h3]

You may have noticed that there are some new decoration items, too. You probably know our cat (it’s available in the demo) - it was a little sneak peek… ːsteamhappyː
We are going to add some more decoration items, so you will be able to create the interior design, also in the Japanese style.



One of the new locations will be added to our Prologue (have you added it to your Wishlist already?).

Dear Coffee Lovers,

In our demo, we have just one location for the coffee shop. As you might have seen in our roadmap - in the full version of Espresso Tycoon, we're going to have 16 different locations. The Prologue will have one – but also a brand new one.

Which one will be used in the Prologue? We haven’t decided yet. But we’ve started working on a few new locations.

[h3]Let us present you the Coffee Truck![/h3]


We don’t think about it as a specific park (yet!). As you can see, it looks like a park in a big city, somewhere in the world. There are some alleys, a fountain, and a lot of plants.

But it took us a lot of work to get to that effect.

We started with a truck:


You may notice that you will be able to create your own brand there. We had to add a coffee machine, our menu, and prepare a slot for the barista working there.

Then, we put the truck in the park - but it was still a bit empty. It needed also a lot of work with the proper lighting or the customers’ path.



We started to improve the park to make a better visual effect.



[h3]Decorating in the park[/h3]
You may think that it would be hard to decorate the coffee shop in the park (there are no buildings, right?). Don't worry. We chose a place where you can create an outdoor coffee shop.

We needed to upgrade the list with the decoration items.

We added:

• furniture made from pallets
  
• sun loungers
  
• new lamps
  
• umbrellas
  

These items will not be available in the demo yet.


(You may notice that there are some dogs, too!)

It’s just the beginning of our work with new locations. We have a plan for the next missions, based in different places. Each location may have an impact on the market research, some of them may be full of tourists, students, etc.

Each month we want to discuss with you some ideas about our Espresso Tycoon. Your voice is very important to us, and we want to know what do you think 😊

In our demo, we have just one location for the coffee shop. You may say it’s one of the European cities (not the specific one).

In the full version of the game, we're going to have 16 different locations. The Prologue will have one – but also a brand new one.

• What kind of locations would you like to see?
  
• Should the location influence the whole coffee shop? For example – the coffee shop located in the park should have some new decoration items like sun loungers or umbrellas?
  
• Should the location influence the market research and social groups' preferences?
