[Notice] Enhanced Security Program



Hello Survivors,

This is the DARKEST DAYS team.

With the latest 0.19.1 update, we have implemented enhancements to our anti-cheat program for the PC environment.

However, we have received reports that certain antivirus programs used by players are detecting the game as a virus. We are currently working quickly to confirm the issue with the respective vendors.

Please be assured that the security program used in DARKEST DAYS is a widely adopted solution already in use by many other game companies, and it poses no harm to your device.

We apologize for any concerns this may have caused and will provide a follow-up as soon as we have more information.

[/p][h3]■ New Additions[/h3][p]\[New Resident: Kyla Jane] - Kyla Jane is a legendary Las Vegas gambler and former Miss Universe. With her unmatched beauty and expert sleight of hand, she dominated the gambling scene. After the outbreak, she began to view survival as the ultimate gamble, eventually overcoming crisis after crisis with bold, decisive moves. Refusing to live a dull life even in the post-apocalyptic world, she continues to chase the thrill of high-stakes gamble.

[/p][h3]\[New Events for Season 2 (~25/07/16)][/h3][p]- The 7-Day Login Event for Season 2 updated.
The event will now reset and you will be able to complete it again each time after completing 7-days.

- A new 28-Day Login Event introduced for Season 2.

- A new Cumulative Login Event introduced for Season 2.

- A new 7-Day Login New Survivor Event introduced for Season 2.

\[New Products Added] - A new Community Pass for Season 2 added.
 ㄴ The rewards for Season 2 will feature a brand-new lineup that differs from Season 1.
 ㄴ The final reward for the new Season Pass will be an exclusive outfit for a new resident.


[/p][h3]■ Key Changes[/h3][p]\[Improved EXP Accumulation After Level 40] - The system has been improved to allow EXP to accumulate after your character reaches level 40.
 ㄴ All quest completion EXP earned since reaching level 40 will be retroactively applied.
- A new system that utilizes the accumulated EXP is currently in development, so please stay tuned.

\[ER Drop Sources Added] - Titan, Gigas, and zombie hordes above level 36 will now drop ER.

- Contaminated Flowers will now guarantee drops of SR-grade or higher materials (quantity will vary by level). In addition, level 40 Contaminated Flowers will also drop ER.

\[Increased ER Drop Rate]
- The drop rate for ER in Rootland increased.

\[Increased Trinity Coin Rewards] - Trinity Coin rewards from journals and achievements increased.
 ㄴ Previous: 10 Trinity Coins → Updated: 50 Trinity Coins
ㄴ If you have already completed and claimed rewards from these journals and achievements, the difference will be sent to your mailbox during the maintenance.
- Trinity Coins from Daily Quests also increased.
 ㄴ Previous: 10 Trinity Coins → Updated: 20 Trinity Coins

\[Resident AI Improvements]
- Resident party members will now avoid standing directly in front of the player during combat.
 ㄴ This is the first phase of improvements and further updates are planned.


[/p][h3]■ Improvements[/h3][p]\[UI]
- Animation effects to the pop-up when purchasing a membership product added.
- The warning message color in the Resident Combat Manual pop-up has been changed to make it more noticeable.
- Improved the character status pop-up to display a message when no effects are currently applied.
- For player convenience, a button has been added to the tablet UI that takes you directly to the Exploration Room.
- Skill activation effects improved.
- Adjusted the spacing between character portraits and dialogue choices in the NPC conversation windows.
- Icons improved to better distinguish between general enhancement tools and quest items.
- Improved how the Standard and Premium Monthly Memberships are displayed when both are subscribed to simultaneously.
- Items obtainable via options will now be displayed on the map.
[/p][p]\[Characters][/p][p]- Vehicle refuel and repair motions have been improved[/p][p]
\[Quests]
- Improved the early game flow by adjusting the difficulty, number of quests, and tutorials in the early stages.

\[Text]
- Descriptions of a resident’s specialized skills updated to be indicated more clearly.

\[Rootland]
- Improved settings so that the grass in Rootland no longer disappears when changing the graphic options.


[/p][h3]■ Fixes[/h3][p]\[Visual Effects]
- To ensure smoother gameplay, the cutscenes will no longer play when downloading the Exploration Tower Map.

\[Quests]
- Linda’s weapon durability will no longer decrease during the “Ruin” quest.
- Facility construction-related quests will now appear under the Community category.
- Messages related to facility construction and upgrades will now only be shown once.
- The objective icon will no longer appear for facility upgrade quests.
- Fixed issue where the failure messages for “Emergency Cooperative Training” quest was not displaying properly.
- Fixed issue where Jimmy remained invincible after completing the “Ruin” quest.
- Fixed issue where the indicator did not disappear even after approaching the objective in the “Looking for a Ball Boy!” quest.
- Fixed issue where recommended levels were not displayed for some quests.
- Fixed incorrect descriptions and system messages for certain quest items.
- Reduced the number of zombies in the “Gas Station Attack” quest and fixed an issue where they spawned faster than intended.
- Fixed issue where all zombies were marked as targets in quests requiring the elimination of specific monsters.
- Fixed issue where corpse objects continued to display even after completing the “A Colleague in Danger” quest.
- Fixed issue where followers appearing in quests were hostile towards zombies.
- Fixed issue where receiving Linda after completing the “Ruin” quest caused the barracks to exceed its max capacity.
- Fixed an issue where the “Fresh Zombie Blood” item did not stack correctly.
- Fixed issue where no level penalty was applied when equipping certain quest items that should have a penalty.
- Fixed issue where EXP rewards were not correctly granted for the “About Exploration” quest.

\[UI]
- Loading image when moving to Sand Creek updated.
- Fixed issue where the image aspect ratio in the Journal varied depending on the set resolution.
- Fixed bug where the cursor would become locked if the tablet was closed while the buff pop-up was open in the inventory screen
- Fixed issue where detailed info for zombie hordes did not display properly on the map, or the icon would remain even after defeating the hordes.
- Fixed issue where a scrollbar appeared in the invite chat window.
- Fixed issue where the text in maintenance pop-ups would flow beyond the designated area.
- Fixed issue where the outfit preview checkbox did not appear in the Conflict Zone prep screen in multiplayer mode.
- Fixed issue where enhancement failure values appeared before the visual effects in the Blacksmith.

\[Tutorial]
- The Exchange tutorial will now display properly to ensure smoother use of the marketplace.
- Fixed issue where rapidly tapping during the tutorial progression would cause malfunctions.
- Fixed errors in some tutorial displays.

\[Characters]
- Fixed an occasional issue where guns would appear detached from backpacks when equipped.
- Fixed bug where hair color did not update properly when changing outfits.
- Fixed issue where Luna’s outfit did not display correctly in her character info screen.

\[Monsters]
- Fixed issue where damage was not applied correctly when colliding with Titans or Contaminated Flowers using a vehicle.
- Fixed rare bug on iOS where zombies would remain standing after being killed.
- Adjusted the explosion radius of Rupture when killed.

\[Camera]
- Fixed bug where the camera would lock in place on multiplayer maps.
- Fixed issue where sound incorrectly varied depending on the camera’s position.

\[TAS]
- Fixed bug where the supply drop function unlocked without meeting the required number of activated Exploration Towers.

\[Text]
- Fixed errors in certain system messages.
- Fixed issue where names of the same target in the Location Book were displayed differently.

\[Skills]
- Fixed bug where the “Agility” skill effects did not apply correctly.

\[Items]
- Changed starting equipment to level 5 gear to make it easier to adapt to the game when creating a character.
- Updated icons for Infection Cure Shot S and Defibrillator S for better visual distinction.
- Revised the names and descriptions of general enhancement tools.

\[Buildings]
- Fixed issue where buildings of mismatched levels were found in the Vernen region.

\[Multiplayer]
- Fixed issue where the HUD did not display after entering a multiplayer area or returning to Sand Creek.

\[Rootland]
- Fixed intermittent issue where water effects would appear above the character’s head.
- Fixed overlapping issue between some furniture and objects.

\[Effects]
- Fixed bug where the crafting success rate increase and cost reduction effects from End People community reputation benefits were not being applied.
 ㄴ We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.
 ㄴ As a token of apology, we will provide all survivors with 2 Lucky Coupons
(Available to be claimed until Thu, June 12 02:59 UTC).

\[Shop]
- The “Consumables” tab name has been changed to “General Goods” to better match the category’s purpose.
- The “Special Enhancement Package” has been changed to a permanent sale format.
- Fixed issue where the animation was skipped when rapidly purchasing the Lucky Box once.
- Fixed incorrect slot spacing in the regular package products.
- Fixed issue where detailed information windows for currency items did not display in the purchase pop-up.
- Fixed issue where costumes did not appear on the resident info screen in the Community Pass after viewing resident information in the Recruitment Service shop.

\[Others]
- Mobile app icon updated.
- Latest banned nicknames and chat filter words applied.
- To reduce confusion, character names that have been used once can no longer be reused.
- Fixed issue where the client would crash abnormally or disconnect from the server.
- Fixed disconnection or freezing issues in some mobile environments.
- Fixed issue where some item repurchase prices were set lower than the selling prices during trades with Burns.
