About Revising Some Player Fighters

We are going to push patches that updates player fighter NGSD and Kiruya, and we will explain here:

Player fighter NGSD is a bold move. The charge attack mode brings high burst fire power and it has strong DPS with high frequency controls. But we found the cons in this design later: The enemies' arrangement is not designed for this charge attack mode, it requires players to move with constant high fire power; In addition, the score system of arrange mode is directly quick shot, and the original mode also requires quick shot otherwise player will be in danger in dodging bullets.

In this situation, long-time charge-attack becomes a decoration, and the high frequency controlling is most used. The high frequency controls is not only tiring, but switching back and forth between hi-speed and low-speed is also adverse to dodging bullets. These make this fighter has zero advantages in arrange mode or original mode with scoring or survival play.

Kiruya is designed after NGSD, and it is also a charge attack fighter. It did try to avoid some problems those exist on NGSD, but the direction is wrong. The design is towards higher burst fire, and lower frequency controls. This didn't solve any problems those exist on NGSD.

We do have some other plans in solving this problem, but in the end we decided to remove charge attack mode in the game. We don't want players to do extra micro controls in the game. We want to keep the game "pure".


About the new NGSD and Kiruya, it can only be said that we want each fighter has its own features and strong. Stay tuned.

We are really serious about game content update after release, even we are still on Early Access. This time, we still want to push this patch after many tests, so we decided to send a early message about this coming patch. We hope players can be ready this way. If you like NGSD and Kiruya in the current version, please don't forget to leave a record about them.

Version Update 0.8.4

- Training can now select boss fight as stage node.
When stage node is set to a boss, total rate can be adjusted.
Holding Start key or button can adjust total rate 10 times faster.
- A new UI is applied to main menu, due to the new selection exceed the display range of original UI.
- Setting and Key Config UI uses the same material as training, so those UI are also changed.
- For the UI unity, main menu is also changed.
- Fixed several UI errors which exists before.
- Unlock progress indicator is remake and put into fighter selection UI.
- Replace boss fight music to current published version.
- Add black mask when entering Main Menu, which makes a better cut-in.
- Remake Main Menu selections' explanations.

- Boss 5 sometimes spawns at incorrect position and blinks back to correct position, but we didn't find it preventing the game from correct running.
- Previous Main Menu UI is not suitable for showing pure English characters, and this is because of a communication error. The new UI is quite simple and it gives equal treatment to different languages.

- Slightly tweaks code of player's homing weapons.
- Adjust clouds and fogs in Stage 3 and Stage 5 a little bit.
- Side blade of Su-27SMA can now correctly be inactive.
- Fix boss shining red when low on HP.
- Lower roughness of snow ground in Stage 4.
- Darken enemies' thumbnail in right side UI.

- Practice Mode now works properly. (Urgent update on Oct 20th)
- Stage 5 End-Stage-Bonus is now counted in score history.

- This update tries to lower performance occupancy and improve game experience.

- Changes to suicide bullets in Original and Unlimited Mode may impact scoring, but it is more about keeping the game experience for more players. This way, the Hi-Speed ATK will have more functions as well. We are really serious about changes to gameplay after launch, but such a change that improves game experience and makes more possibility will be concerned. That is why the game is still in Early Access, we hope you understand.

- We are looking into more graphics detail options: We only want to provide those options that have large impact to performance. The "Explosion Light" causes a lot instant GPU usage, but provides nice light effects. If you want the game to run more smoothly and fluently, please turn this option to Off. This option is set to On in default.

- We noticed that the game's executable will be incorrectly reported as PUA or harmful. We are really sorry if this impacts your game experience. We are trying to find solutions now.

Lower survival play difficulty, but keep the requirement of using Overload. Nearly no effect on scoring.

- In game progress changed to "completing all stage once unlocks 2 more fighters"
- Boss fight music now applies setting music volume
- Fixed bugs caused by in game progress change
- Now in all game modes, Rank + 2 when entering Phase 1 Overload, Rank + 4 when entering Phase 2 Overload
- Now in all game mode, Rank - 5 when getting hit, Rank -10 when using a bomb.
- Each Max HP requirement set to 600.
- Now in Original or Unlimited mode, Rank goes up when acquiring energy.
- Now in Arr. Light or Arr. Original mode, Rank goes up when acquiring energy during Overload.
- in Original mode, nerf suicide bullets' count, tweak creation a little.

In Stage 2: Destroy enemy's carrier and it's ground guards.
In Stage 3: Destroy all large units in residential area.
In Stage 4: Destroy chase units in the beginning of this stage.
In Stage 4: Destroy all large units in enemy snow base.
