Colonize is going to Early Access!

Hello, fellow Colonizers!

We are proud to announce that our game, Colonize, has been finally green-lit by our publisher, steam, testers, mothers, family, and friends...to go out after seven years of struggling, testing, and thinking about what to do.

In addition, we decided to shoot some Video blogs. Here is the first version, where you can see our first attempts or tests of the Colonize. And also a bit of explanation of why it took us seven years :)

Updates:
  • Enabled Save System
  • Redesign to Citizen and Building GUI
  • Update color to night in winter color
  • Added more info for each building


Bug Fixes:
  • Arrow has a proper material
  • Changed to scrollbar color in statistic
  • Changed selection mesh of mill
  • Fixed graphical glitch on flags
  • Added audio effects to all maps
  • Fixed Inn porch props texture
  • Added a popup window on the house and in the Tutorial
  • In the first step in the tutorial, you can click WSAD or arrows to continue
  • There was a bug in the labourer's order of work; Changed that
  • Changed material sign of the road sign
  • After the intro video, you do not need to click to continue to the main menu
  • Water is now depleted from farmers
  • Children was born with a partner named Sofia - fixed
  • Fixed light on Chicken Farm
  • The farm was not working properly
  • Wrong texture on flower pots


Known Issues
  • Mixer of audio is different than in the editor
  • Sometimes, people animation is not switched when there were sitting

Colonize 0.1.4.2

Improvements:
  • Entry roads for buildings are still visible now
  • Added DOF effects for near object
  • We improved the selection shader
  • Added animation to Mill when is working
  • Change the time spent on the bench when not working
  • Roanoke terrain shader improved
  • Ocean should look a slightly better
  • Changed the capacity of Fishery from 20 to 60



Bugs fixed:
  • Fixed glitch animations when citizens are sittings
  • Change the audio mix
  • The entry road is fixed on the farm
  • Some forest debris on Roanoke Map fixed
  • Rain particles are proper now
  • Fixed borning children outside of the house
  • Notifications can be selected now
  • Citizens are no longer going through House
  • Updated popup graphic to the new UI
  • Correct path info
  • Roadmasks were rendered wrong, fixed it
  • Animals were static


And also improved the performance!
