First of all: Thank you! Thank you so so much for your support! We did it, Above Snakes is 100% funded! I am amazed by the community that has formed around Above Snakes and extremely thankful for all of your help!

The Journey just began...
But our Kickstarter journey doesn't stop here! We still have weeks to go! I am sure that all of us want to make so much more out of this game. Let's keep spreading the word and hit some stretch goals! I am very excited for that! The first stretch goal "Spirit Shrines" is not far away. With spirit shrines a new type of tiles will be added to the game, that contain shrines you can find and activate! Those provide you with a selection of temporary buffs or traits that you can choose from for the rest of the run.

I am happy to announce that the Kickstarter campaign of Above Snakes just launched! With this campaign you have for the very first time the chance to get access to the game (see roadmap for exact timing on the campaign’s page). You can get access to following versions of Above Snakes that will be available one after another, according to our roadmap: Pre-Alpha, Alpha, Beta and Release.

Additionally, the Kickstarter campaign offers exclusive cosmetic in-game rewards, such as furniture and weapon skins, as well as physical rewards shipped to your home and the opportunity to design parts of the game together with the developer!

I am super excited to announce that Above Snakes participates in the Steam Next Festival! That means that there is a demo of the game available for download during that time! You can get it for free on the Above Snakes Steam Page between June 16 and June 22.

The demo contains a sneak peek of some of the systems the the full game will provide. You can explore a sandbox environment and fill it with your own unique world made of tiles. While doing so you need to keep track of your needs, build a small camp, harvest, sow and cook food, find sources of water and build weapons to defend yourself against wild animals or even worse things.

Included features of the demo (excerpt):

- 50+ different items
- 25+ different tiles in 10 biomes
- 5 story tiles
- 3 Quests
- 3 Enemy types
- 2 Weapons
- Cooking and crafting (very limited items)
- Sowing and harvesting
- Day and night cycle
