Update 01: New UI & New Controls



๐Ÿ‘‹ Hey everyone!

Welcome to Liberte Update 01. This week, we're bringing a new, totally redesigned UI and updated player controls. Patch 0.5.5.c is now live!

Updated Player Controls
We have streamlined the dodge mechanic, made animation cancelling easier and lowered cooldown duration on all basic actions. We aim this change to improve the flow of combat and make it easier to navigate between enemy attacks.

Redesigned UI
Our UI got a massive graphic design overhaul. And we don't mean just one menu. The entire user interface, in the entire game received a new, tarnished look. We feel this design suits the chaos of the revolution better!

Game Difficulty
We improved game difficulty curve. Now, starting at level 10, enemies will gradually become faster and stronger. We felt this change nicely balances the new, more responsive dodge. Bring out those combo builds, you're going to need them!

Bugfixes
There's been a ton! Most importantly, we've fixed a few issues to controller button bindings and local co-op. Plus, patched over 17 holes where player could get stuck. No more!

Redesigned player character inputs to make movement snappier.
Game Balance
Increased the drop rate of Flawless Ruby by 15%
>Pushback Shotgun< skill now grants short invincibility when used.
>Scavenger< talent now gives 3 armor per kill.
Enemies will now grow faster and stronger past level 10
Bugfixes
Fixed issues with remapping buttons on a controller.
Fixed enemies spawning inside a wall near the bridge in House Lamballe mission.
Fixed an issue that could cause a freeze in conversations in local co-op
Fixed a bug where ranged skills would sometimes misfire.
SFX slider will now properly control the volume of Player getting hit.
Fixed an issue where sliders could not be operate by gamepad.
Fixed card list jumping when being scrolled with a controller.
Fixed 17 places where player character could get stuck.


Here comes the Hotfix!



Hey everyone! Hope you're having a great day.

Our team is on a coffee-fueled bugfixing rage to address the critical bugs some of you experienced. Those bugs slipped through the cracks in our testing, and now it's a matter of honor to make things right.

Happy to announce, we got two most critical issues solved. Tutorial black screen has now been resolved and gunpowder barrel in the House Lamballe mission will properly advance the mission, every time. The hotfix is live as of now and patch notes are below.

Changes
  • Updated Bliss music theme.
  • Player will now automatically sheathe the weapon after a few seconds.

Bugfixes
  • Resolution Change Window will now list all the available options.
  • Fixed an issue where rolling right after vote in Green Zone would return the player back to starting area.
  • Creating a new deck on a controller will no longer stop some buttons from working.
  • Fixed parts of map sometimes blocking the way forward in Story Areas.
  • Fixed multiple bridge areas where player could fall into the water by using a skill.
  • Fixed a hole in the Ruins in House Lamballe mission where players could get stuck.

  • Increased XP gained by groups of 3 and 4 players by 33%

Bugfixes
  • Fixed a critical issue in the tutorial where a cutscene could get stuck on a black screen.
  • Fixed an issue that could make players unable to progress after using gunpowder or a cannon.
  • Player will no longer be able to waste money in shops when his inventory / health is full.
  • Fixed an issue with getting stuck in bliss after vote.
  • Fixed holes under bricks on the Column Juliet map.
  • Players will no longer be getting stuck behind the cannon in House Lamballe.
  • Fixed Shamans getting stuck and not attacking.

Join Our Liberte Early Access Stream

Hey there Revolution aficionados!

It's still unbelievable for us, but we've finally arrived at the exciting moment of our Early Access release.
Quite a milestone for the Superstatic team, but this is only the beginning of the adventure.

We're excited to share the results of the last few years of work with you in this latest stream.

In a nutshell:
  • 30.000 words - that's our story in the Early Access version,
  • there are several card decks to master, allowing you to test playstyles from melee to range and support,
  • you get the chance to meet all characters from our narrative,
  • fight against bossess from each faction,
  • enjoy Liberte with friends in local or online multi!

And we're only starting. Virtual pencil's are on fire, due to the new portion of content that will be soon added after the Early Access release. New cards, more missions and challenges. Because hey - the revolution's only beginning and Rene - our protagonist - has quite a challenge to face.

The stream will reveal the full runs in multi-player and single-player modes.

So, there's only one question - are you ready to join the Revolution?

CLOSED PLAYTEST #5 IS NOW LIVE



๐Ÿ™Œ Hey everyone! Welcome to our last closed playtest before Early Access release. A lot has changed since the last version of the game. We have some new exciting features for you to try and test drive.

A few notable new features and improvements in version 0.5.0
- New, redesigned Tutorial with new Story Content.
- New, redesigned Deckbuilder
- New Bliss Mechanic - A deal with the Old One
- Added Story Mode
- Added Card Crafting System
- New Enemy - Rebel Axeman
- New Areas - the July Column, Crown State Room
- Over new 100 Story Dialogues
- 20 new cards and over 50 existing cards improved.
- 8 new music tracks.
- Bliss Skills now only have 3 Charges, but are on short, 10s cooldown.
- Updated Rene's portrait and model.
- Cut Scenes can now be skipped.
- Redesigned Butcher's boss skills to be less frustrating.
