End of 2022 Roadmap

Heroes of Arkesia,

The Rage with the Machinist Update recently released a ton of new content in Arkesia with the Machinist Advanced Class, Kakul-Saydon Legion Raid, and new progression events— but we know players are eager to learn what’s arriving in the coming months, so let’s dive in. There are two main stories being told over the next three months as we look to close out 2022:
 • The next few months mark the road to the Brelshaza Legion Raid— one of the most challenging, unique, and beautifully dangerous raids in all of Lost Ark. As we head toward the climactic battle against the Phantom Legion Commander, new raids will be added in October for the heroes in Arkesia to hone their teamwork, skills, and ability to overcome unique mechanics, and new progression events to provide upgrade materials and progression opportunities. December will bring Brelshaza alongside a host of other content to end the year with a bang!
 • The release of both the Reaper and Summoner Advanced Classes over the next three months conclude our plan of releasing the first 21 Advanced Classes before other new (or future) classes are added and give new opportunities for players to fill out their rosters with their favorite playstyles.

The content and updates found below are some of the highlights we know players are eagerly awaiting, and is not a comprehensive list of every change arriving in Arkesia over the next few months. Stay tuned to our website and social channels for future release notes including the full list of new content, cosmetics, balance changes, events, bug-fixes, and more included in these updates.

October
New Event: Mystic Abyss Raid
The Guardian Mystic, formerly known as the Herald of Vairgrys and the Ark Carrier, has begun to cast dangerous mists from the permeated chaos and must be vanquished in this new, limited-time Abyss Raid. During the Abyss Raid event, 'Scale of Harmony' is applied, changing character stats to match the Guardian's level. Item Level 1302 or higher is required to battle Mystic, and an abundance of weekly rewards await those who rise to the challenge.
Vykas Legion Raid - Inferno Difficulty
The most difficult version of Legion Raids, the Inferno difficulty is all about proving you’re among the best of the best in Arkesia, and earning prestige. Rather than chasing the normal rewards of gear, materials, and everything else you’d receive in a Legion Raid, Inferno rewards instead showcase your victory with titles, achievements, Stronghold structures, and more! ‘Scale of Balance’ is applied, and the raid requires use of the Book of Coordination, so everyone’s gear is normalized against the level of your Legion Commander opponent. Entry into the Vykas Legion Raid Inferno difficulty will require Item Level 1460.
Achates Trial Guardian
A challenging experience akin to the Inferno difficulty of Legion Raids, the Achates Trial Guardian Raid can only be entered after setting up your build through the 'Book of Coordination'. If defeated, prestigious rewards of achievements and a Legendary Title will be earned by the vanquishing party to award prestige and celebrate their hard-fought victory.
Other Key Content
These 3 Raids aren’t the only thing arriving in October— players in San Diego can join us at Twitchcon (more details to come), and those in Arkesia can look forward to Arkpass Season 2, Neria’s Wardrobe Halloween Edition, the continuation of the September progression events, and Competitive Proving Grounds Season 2 will kick off at the end of the month!

November
Reaper Advanced Class
Reapers are true Assassins, and masters of stealth. From powerful back-attacks inflicted by their daggers to misleading opponents by vanishing and summoning clones, Reapers have a variety of tools at their disposal to vanquish whatever threat crosses their path.
Other Key Content
Tripod Transfer System Improvements which guarantee the transfer Tripods through a new “Amulet” material used for applying Skill Tripods, bring new notification improvements, Skill tree guide quest improvements, and add a Skill Tree Transfer mission in the 'Training Area'.

Balance Update including:
 • Changes to the Legion Raid Hallucination Gear Set Effect
 • Class balance updates to the Berserker, Destroyer, Scrapper, Soulfist, Glaivier, Artillerist, Sharpshooter, Gunslinger, Machinist, and Arcanist.

Stronghold Improvements, such as Interior decorations, a new Trophy System & Trophy Room, Gifting, the ability to place mounts & pets, Structure placement updates, new Jukebox music, HUD improvements and new mini-games.

The Mystic Abyss Raid Event will continue in the beginning of the month for players to continue to build their raid skills and earn valuable rewards as they push toward the slew of threats arriving in December, alongside a special progression event.

December
Summoner Advanced Class
Despite their delicate constitution, Summoners are a force to be reckoned with in any battle. They call forth elemental spirits to fight for them, each with their own special skills to help the Summoner shine in every situation. With a powerful variety of water, lightning, earth, and more unique attacks, the Summoner is a welcome addition to the roster of available Mage Advanced Classes.
Brelshaza Legion Raid (Phantom Astalgia: Déjà Vu & Normal Difficulty)
Face Brelshaza, Commander of the Phantom Legion in an immersive and challenging 8-player Legion Raid spanning 6 unique gates and encounters. The most cunning and ruthless of all the Legion Commanders, she is known to charm her enemies and inflict them with awful hallucinations. With so many encounters, the gates work differently and the Item Level requirements rise every two gates. Similar to the “Midnight Circus: Encore” difficulty of the Kakul-Saydon Legion Raid, an easier difficulty is available for players to practice the difficult encounters and mechanics.
 • Phantom Astalgia: Déjà Vu - Item Level 1430
 • Gates 1 & 2 - Item Level 1490
 • Gates 3 & 4 - Item Level 1500
 • Gates 5 & 6 - Item Level 1520
Caliligos Guardian Raid
Caliligos is the master of lightning, commanding blue lightning to bring his enemies to their knees. His wings are as swift as wind, and the power of blue thunderbolts concentrate in his horn, sharper than any spears, to pierce the hearts of his enemies. As a ruler of the skies, he was worshipped in the past as a god. But Caliligos is no god— he’s a cruel ruler of the sky and a ruthless guardian. Caliligos will join the gauntlet of Level 6 Guardians. The Item Level requirement to challenge Caliligos is 1490.
Other Key Content
The new content doesn’t stop with the new raids and a new Advanced Class! Higher level South Vern ‘Void’ Chaos Dungeons, and Hard T3 Cube & Boss Rush activities (Item Level 1490) will arrive along with Neria’s Wardrobe Pajama Edition, a festive Holiday Event, and a new accessory type— the Bracelet, which can be earned from the Brelshaza Legion Raid, Caliligos Guardian Raid, and South Vern’s new Void Chaos dungeon. The Bracelet increases character stats, but doesn’t have Engravings slotted into it like other accessories.

Looking Ahead

We’re excited to see players vanquish the myriad of threats arriving in the coming months as they grow their skills in challenging activities, and grow their rosters with new Advanced Classes and earn impactful rewards to help progression. In the meantime, stay tuned to our website, social channels, and the release notes for the full list of new content, store updates, events, bug-fixes, and more over the coming months. See you in Arkesia!

Rage with the Machinist Release Notes

Heroes of Arkesia,

The September “Rage with the Machinist” Update arrives in Arkesia tomorrow. Downtime for the update will begin on September 28 at 12AM PT (7AM UTC) and is expected to last 4 hours. Downtime for regions with server merges is expected to take longer, estimated up to 16 hours. The Machinist arrives in Arkesia armed to the teeth with highest-tech machine guns, laser weapons, and drones found in Arthentine— ready to blast, burn, and neutralize any threat with surgical precision. An old threat also resurfaces in the next Legion Raid; Mayhem Demon Legion Commander Kakul-Saydon and his dangerously alluring Midnight Circus. Find the full list of content, updates, new progression events, and bug fixes below.

Spotlight
Machinist Advanced Class
The Machinist is armed to the teeth with highest-tech machine guns, laser weapons, along with a Drone capable of remote, precise strikes and unique attacks. When standard weapons and drone strikes aren’t enough to take down a target, the Machinist can activate their identity skill and suit up in cutting-edge technology with the Hypersync ability. Energy cores for the high-tech Hypersync suit can be charged by landing attacks, and once entered, Hypersync core energy will be expended by abilities until the Machinist runs out.

The Machinist joining the Deadeye, Gunslinger, Artillerist, and Sharpshooter as the fifth Gunner Advanced Class. Learn more about the Machinist in the recent Lost Ark Academy focused on detailing its identity, Engravings, and skills.
Kakul-Saydon Legion Raid
Kakul-Saydon enters the fray as the third Legion Raid. In this raid, you’ll face the insanity of the Midnight Circus as you battle members of the Mayhem Legion and Legion Commander Kakul-Saydon. No revives are available mid-battle, so be ready to fight for your life. Differing from Valtan & Vykas, Kakul-Saydon is a four-player Legion raid. This Legion Raid has 3 gates, and is complete with a swathe of new unique characteristics, abilities, and mechanics.

While players will need to be Item Level 1475 to attempt the Normal difficulty of the raid, an easier version of the raid called Midnight Circus: Rehearsal can be entered by players at Item Level 1385 to practice the difficult mechanics and teamwork required to vanquish the Mayhem Legion.
 • Rehearsal and Normal Modes share a weekly lockout per character. A character that clears Rehearsal Mode first will not be able to do Normal Mode that week.
 • Once a player has completed Normal Mode Kakul-Saydon in a given week they can no longer clear Rehearsal Mode that week on any character.
 • Doing Normal Mode first will grant the rewards that would have been obtained in Rehearsal Mode, in addition to all of the Normal Mode rewards.

A new special training feature has been added, and can be accessed by speaking to Beatrice in Trixion. The special training contains the same minigames encountered in the Kakul-Saydon Legon Raid for players to practice.

Two new items used in exchange for rewards are introduced in this raid: Mayhem Marks and Mayhem Trumpets. Mayhem Marks are used at the Legion Raid Exchange NPC to obtain various rewards, such as card packs, accessories, and more. Some of items have a weekly limit while others have a roster limit. Mayhem Horns are used to upgrade the bonuses provided by Legion Raid gear sets. These sets grant unique effects when 2, 4, or 6 pieces of the same set are equipped. These set effects can be increased using Mayhem Horns at a new Set Gear Management NPC available in all major cities. A new Guide Quest will be available detailing the new system in-game.

New Progression Events
Free Punika Powerpass
Players will receive a Punika Powerpass after completing Punika's quest “Berver's Friend”. To access this quest, players must first complete all Adventure Quests (marked by purple exclamation marks) on Punika to collect stamps and become a citizen. Once the final quest in this chain, “Honorary Punikan" has been completed, you can talk to Nia in Nia village to start "Berver's Friend." If you've already finished the quest before the update, you'll get the Powerpass when the event starts! This Event Powerpass will be delivered via in-game mail.

The Punika Powerpass will function like the North Vern Powerpasses available to players in the launch version of Lost Ark— once you’ve completed the storyline through that continent, you can use it to bring an alternate character to that point in the game. With the Punika Powerpass, you'll receive Item Level 1302 gear. This is an event Powerpass, and will expire on October 26.
Special Event Missions
Similar to an Express Event, you can designate a character between item Level 1302 and 1415 on your roster to participate in the Special Event Missions, where they’ll earn honing materials to quickly level up to 1415. Defeat Guardians, Abyssal Dungeons, and reach Item Level thresholds to earn impactful honing material rewards. The Special Event Missions will stay active until November 23.

We’re excited to see the new alternate characters roaming Arkesia as players experience different playstyles or quickly level up a brand new Mechanist. Both of these events are available for a limited-time— so make sure you take advantage and use them while you can!

Lost Ark’s Machinist class arrives this month with big own-brand Iron Man vibes

Fantasy MMO RPG Lost Ark introduces its next advanced class on September 28th, the Machinist, and he has a certain smug, goateed high-tech familiarity to him. Think of the Machinist as the Aldi equivalent to Marvel’s Tony Stark, Iron Man. He’s still packed to the circuit boards with machine guns, lasers and drones, even if he is an own-brand alternative to the Armoured Avenger.

Lost Ark Academy - Machinist

Heroes of Arkesia,

On September 28, the Machinist Advanced Class will arrive in Arkesia. The Machinist is armed to the teeth with highest-tech machine guns, laser weapons, and drones found in Arthentine— ready to blast, burn, and neutralize any threat with surgical precision.

The Machinist will join the Deadeye, Gunslinger, Artillerist, and Sharpshooter as the fifth Gunner Advanced Class. In this Lost Ark Academy, you’ll find information to see if the Machinist is the class for you— and if so, help you start planning the skills and engravings you’re interested in using to enhance your impact on the battlefield.

Key Mechanics & Class Identity

The Machinist comes armed with an arsenal of high-tech weapons and a Drone capable of remote, precise strikes and unique attacks.

The Machinist’s skills are split into four categories; Normal, Drone, Combo, and Sync. Normal skills are centered around the high-tech arsenal of guns, grenades, packed by the Machinist, which all charge the Hypersync Battery. Drone skills are focused on utilizing the Drone in unique ways— firing missiles, lasers, and even baby Drones out in precise, remote strikes. Joint skills are focused on the Machinist and Drone working together in harmony to unleash powerful joint attacks. Lastly, Sync skills are the uniquely powerful attacks unleashed by the high-tech suit that can only be accessed while Hypersync is active.
Class Engravings & Skills
Like other Advanced Classes, the Machinist has two unique Class Engravings that enhance different aspects of the class. The Evolutionary Legacy Class Engraving is focused on the Hypersync Mode, adding damage, reducing cooldowns, and granting Core Energy back to maximize time spent in the high-tech suit. Enhancing another key aspect of the class, the Arthentinean Skill Class Engraving is centered around the Machinist’s teamwork with the Drone, by increasing Drone and Joint skills and movement speed while the Drone is attached to the Machinist.
Class Engravings
Evolutionary Legacy
 • Level 1 - During Hypersync Mode, on hit, Sync skills inflict Damage +2% (Max 3 stacks) and Cooldown -0.5s. Also, Hypersync Mode returns 40% of its Core Energy cost when canceled.
 • Level 2 - During Hypersync Mode, on hit, Sync skills inflict Damage +4% (Max 3 stacks) and Cooldown -0.5s. Also, Hypersync Mode returns 40% of its Core Energy cost when canceled.
 • Level 3 - During Hypersync Mode, on hit, Sync skills inflict Damage +6% (Max 3 stacks) and Cooldown -0.5s. Also, Hypersync Mode returns 40% of its Core Energy cost when canceled.
Arthetinean Skill
