How do you unlock more alters in The Alters? If you want to unlock more Jans to give you a hand with your base, you're going to need to level up your Qubit Level by finding chips. Here's how to do it and where to find them.
By now, you likely have your first alter, the Technician, and though he takes a bit of encouragement, he soon gets to work on maintaining or upgrading your base in the Alters, or whatever other task you assign him. It's tough to juggle and manage all the tasks, though, even with his help, so here's how to unlock more alters in The Alters.

How do you defeat all The Alters anomalies? There are six different types of anomalies in The Alters (seven if you include Planetary Samples), and each one requires a different approach to know how to get rid of it, or whether it's easier to avoid them.
Exploration is tough in this survival game, and even with the best alters, it's still hard to stay alive while managing your base and making sure everyone is fed and happy. Anomalies just add to the plight, standing in the way of collecting resources or exploring new areas, so here's every anomaly in The Alters and how to defeat them.

How do you improve mood in The Alters? You would be forgiven for thinking that your alters are created merely to perform a function - that's how it seems on the face of things. You'll soon, however, discover that these creations are people, with thoughts and feelings and motives, and you need to find a way to balance their mood, lest you face the wrath of an alters revolt.
Many of the things you can do to improve mood in The Alters require additional sections of your base, so make sure you know how to upgrade your base before trying to tackle that bad mood that's been plaguing your group. Some of these also require specific alters, so make sure you're up to speed on how to create new alters before you continue.

- [p]One run won’t show you everything: The Alters is designed for replayability. Scenes and outcomes change based on your choices and which alters are present.[/p][p][/p]
- [p]Consider the Scientist early: We recommend creating the Scientist as your second alter - it can really help down the line if you’re not used to survival games.
[/p] - [p]Adjust difficulty if needed: If you're struggling with production or just want to focus on the story, lower the economic difficulty.
[/p] - [p]Talk to your Alters: Might sound obvious, but if you see an icon by their portrait, don’t ignore it. These optional conversations can impact major moments later on in the game!
[/p] - [p]Choices have consequences: Small decisions early on may have big effects later. Trust us on this.[/p][p][/p]
- [p]No need for perfection: You won't see everything in one playthrough (e.g. you can’t create all alters), and that’s how it’s meant to be.
[/p] - [p]Stockpile essentials: Keep metals, organics, filters, and repair kits handy. Running out at the wrong time can set you back significantly.[/p]
