Headlines
  • Jocaste the Sin Seeker boss battle is unlocked.
  • Enabled more Bioboost upgrades.

These augments are more powerful than what you'd typically see, but they all come at a cost. And once they've been attached, they take up a permanent slot for the rest of your run. So, use them with care!
New Weapons
  • Nuclei-55 Disintegrator (Energy)
HWT's Nuclei-55 series adds a little sparkling insult to injury as the ordinance for these weapons is infused with thermodynamic nanotechnology. Due to the splash particles when in contact with the target, caution is advised to maintain a safe distance from the blast.
  • XM LED Strobe (Energy)
Originally taken from 8th-Generation mining lasers and repurposed into a handheld cannon, XM LED Strobe was the tool used by the Mining factions of Gravel-3 System to oppose their captors and overturn slavery. Highly controversial design due to the lack of a failsafe in case of a fall.
  • Type-9 Boomstick (Physical)
A simple and reliable design adopted by the Acantha X Spec-ops. Type-9 is a practical side weapon capable of operating in the most extreme conditions.

Dev Diary #10 - Weapons and Augments #3 + Steam Next Fest

Acthana X weaponry - built to last lightyears. Take a piece of Terra into the void. Whatever's out there, Acthana X has your back.
Weapons & Augments #3
The Orpheus is crawling with unknown threats. But it’s not all doom and gloom — today’s dev diary is about fighting back electrical weapons and tactical augments. Let’s dive in. 🩸
The Conduit ⚔️
Rumored to be forged by a mad engineer deep in the Orpheus, this blade was originally meant for fire rescue. Now? It's perfect for slicing through flesh and synthetic matter alike. It's brutal, swift, and has a thirst for pain.
Dual Str8Fires 💥
Repurposed from old Earth tech as the evolution of "Uzi", these dual-wielded SMGs define the phrase "spray and pray." With large mags doubling as recoil dampeners, they’re chaotic, fast, and dangerously fun in tight corridors.
XM LED Strobe ⚡
Once a mining laser, now a handheld cannon. The XM LED Strobe was turned into a weapon of rebellion during the Gravel-3 uprising. It’s raw, unstable, and powerful; no safety switch, just fire.
AUGMENTS
Enhance your gear. Enhance yourself. Here are two augments that can shift the tide mid-run.
Powerslash ⬆️
Supercharge your melee. After a fully charged swing, dodge to activate a 1-second 200% damage boost. Perfect for carving through Darkphage before they can blink.
Impact Wave ⬆️
Land hard, hit harder. Slamming into the ground now releases a shockwave... but be careful, your jumps will cost more stamina. High risk, high impact.
Coming Soon: Summer Next Fest Demo 🔥
Recognize some of these from our last playtest? Just wait. During Steam’s Summer Next Fest (June 9th to 16th), the demo expands with:
  • A new boss fight 👁️
  • More weapons 🔫
  • More augments 💉
  • And the most content we’ve released to date 🚨

Get ready to descend deeper into Moros Protocol than ever before.

Dev Diary #9 - The Sin Seeker

"And when devoid of prey, the cancerous plague shall turn on itself, and a thousand deaths won't sate its vile hunger." - Juk' Haram, 21-73
A Presence Aboard the Orpheus
A masked warrior has been sighted in the deepest levels of the Orpheus; calm, unstoppable, and draped in an unfamiliar armor. She moves with purpose. She speaks in verses. And she leaves nothing of the Darkphage in her wake.

No one knows who she serves or why she’s here. The way she moves, the way she acts… it’s hard to tell if she’s even human. She might be something else entirely.

What remains clear is this: you must remain vigilant.

You may catch a glimpse of her soon. Steam Next Fest begins June 9th, and for the first time, players will have the chance to face the Sin Seeker within the rooms of the Orpheus.
Patch Notes
New Weapons 💥
  • The Conduit (Melee)
One of a series of bladed weapons rumoured to have been crafted by a mad engineer deep in the ship’s bowels with a penchant for pain and a sprinkle of surprise. Though its creation was bound for fire-fighting, a downward swing is bound to cut most non-metal materials easily.
  • The Dual Str8Fires (Physical)
Repurposed from forgotten Earth tech, Str8Fires are lightweight submachine guns that are perfect for dual-hand showdowns. These weapons are the definition of "spray and pray", as their large magazines also act as recoil compensators and prevent unwanted muzzle rise
