Calling all Survivors,

We’ve been quite busy these past few weeks since launch and are pleased to announce that patch #5 is now live for Serum. This latest patch brings in fixes for localization on languages, freestanding absorbers for wilderness cleansing and an updated trap system, as well as music and sound effects in boss arenas and other fixes.

• Localization fixes
  
• Free-standing Absorbers placed on the map to allow cleansing from wildness
  
• New boss fight music
  
• New trap system - ghost red/green notifying the possibility of putting a trap in a right place
  
• Toadstool and Blind Frog are now highlighted red when using the Masking skill
  
• Bleeding serum effect on weapons now properly deals damage over time
  
• Quest page no longer displays future objectives (previously the page listed a whole quest chain instead of only the current part)
  
• Fixed Gate puzzles player snapping on interaction (player body is no longer visible when solving a gate puzzle)
  
• Free-standing absorbers - these absorbers heal and remove wildness only ; they do not remove or add the Timer,
  
• Locations: Forest Biome: Forest Refuge ; behind the Car graveyard ; Gas Station ; Train stop at the end of the railway line (left of the Fauna Facility, near the collapsed tunnel) - Swamp Biome: Swamp Refuge ; Entrance to Flora Facility; Nakata Boss (entrance to arena)

[h3]Serum Patch #4 is now live[/h3]

Calling all Survivors,

Patch #4 is now live for Serum, this latest patch addressed a number of fixes and improvements including accelerated rotation to improve faster player response on controller, a fix for reappearing notes, recipes and blueprints, optimised non-streaming textures for improved performance. UI fixes, Wildness improvements and the implementation of Pause were also among other improvements added.

Fixes

• Fix for reappearing notes, recipes and blueprints
  
• Got rid of items multiplication when "spamming" E button to collect them
  
• Fixed quest marker moving to the corners of the screen
  
• Fixed issue where Scolopendra was sometimes falling through the landscape
  
• Fixed issue where incorrect quest was set as active after loading the game
  

Changes and updates

• Implementation of pause function
  
• Implemented a new system for in-game fonts in dialogs for better scaling
  
• Optimized non-streaming textures for improved performance
  
• New storage screen based on finalized design
  
• Block mechanic changed - permanent block using stamina
  
• Implementing wildness-reducing effect on some plants
  
• Decreasing wildness values for early-stage Serums
  
• Tweaks for enemies: removed some spawners and disabled health regeneration
  
• Adjustments for the controller - accelerated rotation to improve faster player response, removed cursor snapping and added cursor slowdown when hovering over buttons

In addition to the recent patches and fixes implemented into the main game, we’ve got some more exciting updates to share with you on Serum! We’ve revamped the Player Guide, Story Codex, and Cocktail Book with new content and layouts.

Dive into the newly updated player guide with new entries and fixed bugs, see the story codex with a fresh new layout, and check out the 5 new recipes in the cocktail book.

These new updates further expand a treasure trove of exclusive content designed to enrich your survival adventure experience.

In addition to that we updated the steam assets for the book to better reflect the games current content.

We’ve introduced some new fixes today to address some issues recently highlighted to us. One of these is the Nakata Boss fight, and we’ve listed the full details of what we’ve addressed below.

In addition to the Nakata boss fix, we’ve addressed a number of other issues and fixes highlighted by the community. These include adding gather all and remove all buttons in the farming screen, and more.

• Fixed Aspect Collector consuming biofuel when there are no creatures in breeding containers.
