Still Wakes the Deep: Siren’s Rest - Update 1.6

[p]Hey everyone![/p][p] [/p][p]We’ve been thrilled to see your reaction to exploring the wreckage of the Beira D in Still Wakes the Deep: Siren’s Rest, the new paid story expansion. Today, we’re releasing a patch packed full of fixes and adjustments, much of which is driven by your feedback. Below is a full breakdown of what’s coming in the patch, available now on all platforms:[/p][p] [/p][p]PATCH NOTES[/p][p][/p][p]Features:[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Added a Memento collection menu, so players can track which mementos they’ve discovered[/p]

  • [p]Added a Chapter Selector option, based on community feedback. Players can now head straight to the beginning of any chapter they have previously completed

[p]Bug Fixes:[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue that caused an invisible wall to appear and create a softlock when collecting a whisky bottle[/p]
[p][/p]
  • [p]Resolved multiple issues causing some players to experience blockers or softlocks when retracing their steps, potentially triggering previous checkpoint[/p]

  • [p]Fixed an issue on Steam Deck where the game would have its width and height flipped when run in Desktop Mode[/p]

  • [p]Made several improvements to the umbilical system for it to function in a more reliable way:[/p]
    • [p]Fixes for the umbilical clipping through walls[/p]
    • [p]Fixed an issue where the umbilical cord would be invisible when respawning or restarting from a checkpoint[/p]

  • [p]Fixes related to upscalers and frame generation handling:[/p]
    • [p]Lifted FPS limitations when using DLSS and Intel XeFG Frame Generation[/p]
    • [p]Fixed an issue where the screen size was reset when using DLSS or FSR[/p]
    • [p]DLSS-G Frame Generation can now only be enabled in Fullscreen[/p]
    • [p]Intel XeFG can now only be enabled in Windowed Fullscreen[/p]
    • [p]Fixed an issue with flickering textures when using XeSS[/p]
    • [p]Fixed an issue that caused DLSS to turn off after closing the game[/p]
    • [p]AMD FSR3 has been updated to 3.1.4[/p]
    • [p]DLSS has been updated to 2025.04.16[/p]
    • [p]Intel XeSS has been updated to v2.0.8.1[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Various fixes and improvements around dialogue triggers[/p][p] [/p]
  • [p]Updated and improved music, mixing, and sound effects throughout Siren’s Rest[/p][p][/p]

    • [p]Fixed multiple visual and collision clipping issues in Siren’s Rest[/p]
    • [p]Made several visual improvements to the dead bodies in Siren’s Rest[/p]
    • [p]Removed the reticle during cutscenes[/p]
    • [p]Fixed issues with camera transitions and player warping during cutscenes[/p]
    • [p]Added more visual and audio warnings for oxygen depletion[/p]
    • [p]Made adjustments and fixes to the antagonist encounter, providing more visual clarity[/p]
    • [p]Updated several animations and visual effects during cutscenes[/p]
    • [p]Improved the high contrast mode[/p]
    • [p]Improved the look and feel of water and fog, as well as fixed several bugs related to water volumes

  • [p]Fixed an issue that caused Siren’s Rest to not be purchasable on Epic for some users[/p]
[p] [/p][p]Please note: Some players may find their save spawn point being slightly further back than their last point of progression. This is to avoid any corrupted data. Your progress with achievements and mementos will remain the same.[/p][p]

Details on Post-Launch Patch for Still Wakes the Deep: Siren's Rest

[p]Hey everyone! [/p][p]
Thanks so much to the entire Still Wakes the Deep community for sharing your thoughts since diving into the Siren’s Rest paid story expansion. We’ve been doing some diving of our own, wading through player feedback and documenting points for our team to action.[/p][p]
Our planned post-launch patch is being worked on right now and will be released once all tests are complete, very likely before the end of June. This patch will include a wide range of fixes and optimisations for both the expansion and base game.[/p][p]
The patch will include fixes for audio and dialogue bugs such as overlapping voice lines. It will also further improve visuals, including multiple fixes for the umbilical cord in Siren’s Rest and resolving reports of missing tentacles from a certain…  antagonist. [/p][p]
We’ll also be adding a couple of minor new features, including a memento tracker, and a chapter select option, which may help with discovering a secret towards the finale. [/p][p]
We’re continuing to investigate reports around soft locks in the expansion, commonly when players retrace their steps. We’re also investigating reports around crashes on some PCs using AMD cards and will keep trying to establish a solution and any potential workarounds for users.
